This Isn’t It: Michael Jackson Conspiracy Theorists Hijack Film Premier, In Pictures
MICHAEL Jackson’s film, This Is It, hits the movie screens.
In 16 cities around the world, the film of outtakes, retakes and on-the-takes plays on.

MICHAEL Jackson: The Official Exhibition at the O2 in London is on. And we have been there to take the pictures of the life-sized throne, a crown, a rocket ship, a triptych of canvases of the singer showing him being crowned, knighted and holding a magical sword, and Jacko being the down-to-earth guy we all loved.
You can walk under the gilded archway used to welcome guests to Jackson’s fairytale Neverland ranch, stroke the saddle of a carousel-style rocking horse inscribed: “To MJ love ET”. That’s Elizabeth Taylor, not the little alien lost and trying to get home.
Read a signed letter from former fellow monkey enthusiast US president Ronald Reagan dated 1984. Reagan wishes Jackson good health following his hair catching fire while filming an advert for Pepsi.
Some might say it is fitting that Jackson’s life should be laid out in the O2 oxygen tent; some might say it’s a cynical marketing ploy to wring more cash form the fans, under the pretence of respect for the dead performer; others might say, “It’s what Michael would have wanted.”
A little light animatronics and the show might yet go on. But for now, all we have are pictures… in high definition…

What might be the best way to pay homage to the singer who, if Lloyd Daniels has the X Factor, surely had the XXX Factor? Dr Conrad Murray saying Jackson died from an acute bout of Olly Murs? Pub singer Jamie Archer dressing as a human sambuca? A Halloween rendition of Thriller with John & Edward coming as they are?
Later. For now, the The X Factor finalists are to release a cover (aka inferior copy) of Michael Jackson’s You Are Not Alone to – get this - raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Michael Jackson Co-Writes Fated, The Comic Book Tale Of A Supernatural Pop Star
MICHAEL Jackson Tributes: The new Jackson comic book, written by Michael Jackson, Virgin book’s Gotham Chopra, with art by Mukesh Singh.
Rich Johnston says the new comic will be called Fated.
Co-written by Michael Jackson, it’s the story of a successful but reclusive pop star – called Gabriel Star - who survives a suicide attempt, only to find his sales increase and he starts to exhibit supernatural abilities.
We’ve seen Jackson’s cartoons. And now the King of Pop, who became the King of Prop, is expanding his creative oeuvre. Swap the suicide attempts for paedo allegations and you’ve got yourselves a hit.

Michael Jackson Opens Paul Anka Home For Resting Singers
MICHAEL Jackson’s new song “This Is It” is breathing life not only into Jackson, the Jackson Five, who sing backing vocals and papa Joe Jackson who can be heard playing the cash register, but also Paul Anka.
Anka is still very much alive, a singing conker who we learn co-wrote Jackson’s first post-reality hit yet remains un-credited on the record sleeve.
Anka says he has been promised 50 percent of the song’s profits:
“They did the right thing. I don’t think that anybody tried to do the wrong thing. It was an honest mistake.”

Harry Connick Jr Presents Jackson Jive, The Medical Michael Jackson Tribute Act
CONTINUING Anorak’s look at tributes to Michael Jackson, we bring you The Jackson Jive, on Autralian TV show Hey, Hey It’s Saturday.
Australian TV host Daryl Somers introduces the act. The crowd love the Jackson Jive. Then Somers apologises for them.
Visiting US singer Harry Connick Jr, joins the Red Faces segment to award the black faces and the white face lead signer a zero.
We then learn that the Jackson Jive first appeared on the show 20 years ago as medical students. Now they are medics. The lead singer is – irony of ironies – a plastic surgeon.
Political correctness mean they are hateful, Jackson might have found them if not entertaining then at least useful.

MICHAEL JACKSON Watch: As a mark of deep respect to her bother – he died, you know – Janet Jackson will wear black for a year to mourn the King Of Propofol, formerly King of Pop.
A source tell the Sun:
“Janet, like the rest of the Jackson family, has been left bereft by Michael’s passing. She felt a particular bond to her brother and has been distraught since his death. As a mark of respect she has decided to only wear black clothes to express her grief, and she has had to go on a number of shopping trips to find suitable items to wear.
“She has resolved to mourn Michael’s death for 12 months, and in June next year - on the anniversary of Michael’s passing - her time of reflection will come to an end.”
Michael just loved black. Just loved it. He famously tried to turn his skin black but over the years the repeated costume changes and bathing lessened the effect.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s other sister, Officer La Toya Jackson, says Michael is talking to her from beyond the grave. So, La Toya, has she told you killed him yet?
“All of a sudden I said, ‘Michael are you there?’ and the light started blinking,” she said.
“I love it. I really love it. It doesn’t happen everytime I ask but it happened one time and then another when someone else was there with me.

MICHAEL Jackson’s has been buried. And the world’s media looks on:
The funeral of Michael Jackson proved to be a scene of intimate sorrow for his loved ones… Jackson’s 11-year-old daughter Paris and her brothers, Prince Michael and Blanket, began the service by placing a bejeweled crown on their father’s golden casket. They were composed through most of the hour-and-a-half ceremony in Glendale, Calif.

Although a pooled video feed of the arriving guests was made available by the Jackson family, it was cut off sharply as the proceedings began. Meanwhile, the Glendale police department had set up an exclusion zone outside Forest Lawn — enforced by uniformed and plainclothes officers — and the Federal Aviation Authority restricted all flights within a three-mile radius, to stop news helicopters from hovering overhead.
Nevertheless, flights above 3,000ft were allowed, and cable news channels, including CNN, broadcast silent footage taken from circling aircraft throughout the ceremony.

In contrast to the star-studded public memorial event stages at LA’s Staples Centre, today’s funeral was a private affair.
The Jackson family did allow a live video feed of guests arriving… An airborne camera provided by LA broadcaster KTLA, however, continued to run. It showed a coffin covered in white flowers taken to the front of the congregation.
As for the burial, you can have one, if you can afford it:
Set in vast, landscaped grounds with gardens, sculptures, churches and fountains, Forest Lawn offers a range of funeral packages costing up to £7,880.
The Sun says it costs £100,000 to be buried like Jackson, which seems cheap. But where is Jackson? He’s in any one of 12 plots bought to keep the ghouls away; or got keep all his bits in:

Mr Al Sharpton wrote on his Twitter page: “What MJ went through was so unfair yet he succeeded. In the end, he was the biggest artist ever. He faced the headwinds but he made it.”

A Warwickshire woman has changed her name to include ‘Michael Jackson’ in honour of the late pop legend. Marina Jane Michael Jackson, of Warwick, said she had been a life-long fan of the star and his death prompted her to take his name by deed poll. “I got divorced about six years ago and I have had my married name since, so I was looking at changing my name anyway,” she said.
She used to be called Marina Diana Spencer, allegedly.
