Paul Revoir’s BBC apologises after broadcast of wrong shipping forecast leaves listeners all at sea reveals:
the BBC is in hot water after it broadcast the wrong shipping forecast and ended up frightening the nautical community with force 11 winds that had already passed.
‘Hot water’? So there was a Jan Moir-like flood of complaints? That’s what the Mail implies:
Members of the public feared that sailors were put at risk by the reports of extreme whether when the information was wrong.

Climate Gate: Politicians Investigate CRU’s Emails And The BBC Sat On The Story
FILES hacked from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) - see them here - seem to indicate an Orwellian pact between scientists to settle the scientific debate on man-made global warming.
The Washington Post sees “an intellectual circle that appears to feel very much under attack, and eager to punish its enemies”. Says Al Gorean George Monibot:
It’s no use pretending this isn’t a major blow. The emails extracted by a hacker from the climatic research unit at the University of East Anglia could scarcely be more damaging. I am now convinced that they are genuine, and I’m dismayed and deeply shaken by them.
Monibot has seen the eviedence and reached a conclusions.

Global Warming And BBC Bias With Richard Black And Ariel Magazine
CLIVE Davis spots an article by the BBC’s environment correspondent, Richard Black - read it here - in which he talks of the notion that the BBC is biased on climate change reporting.
Ask yourself this: when was the last time you saw a BBC report that questioned the science that says man-made global warming is going to cause untold devastation?
The BBC has two editorial golden rules: global warming is real and whatever happens in Israel must be the lead news story.

On the Government’s own figures, the Climate Change Act is going to cost Britain £18 billion a year - that’s £720 for every household in the country - every year from now until 2050.
Of course, the thing about global warming is that even if it is not happening now, it might happen in the future. The irony is that what Booker calls a “colossal scare story” should feature in the Mail, home to scare stories.
But we should be afraid because Plane Stupid has filmed polar bears falling from the skies – without parachutes!

Hitler Would Have Warmed To Al Gore
NEWSWEEK loves Al Gore. Forty-six percent of their letter writers wrote on the subject of Gore, and 74 percent of them were critical but Newsweek ran only positive letters.
No big deal that a news organ is biased. But global warming is so anti fascist. Al Goreans can’t be fascists. Can they?
One missive tells us:
Propaganda by global-warming skeptics and deniers reminds me of 1944, when as an Army officer I saw living skeletons in striped pajamas. Horror stories about Nazi concentration camps suddenly rang true. I wondered how intelligent people could commit such atrocities. History records the effectiveness of Joseph Goebbels’s propaganda. I hope Al Gore and others can prevail over today’s anti–science propaganda.

Climate Justice Fast: Global Warming Campaigners Perform Internet Comedy Show
CLIMATE Justice update: Canberra justice seeker Paul Connor tells us of his hunger strike for Gaia. It’s called - ready - Climate Justice Fast. Paul Connor fools his body into believing he’s taking food by eating ice for 40 days and 40 nights.
Ice is that stuff you make in ice machines and freezers. Unless he ships in broken bits from the ice cap? Either way, it doesn’t look good for climate justice to be collaborating with the enemy.
Here’s a video – shot on a wind-up camera - of hunger striker Paul on the lawns of Parliament House in Canberra, supported by 31-year-old Marcella Brassett –whose enjoying the sun - and 61-year-old Michael Morphett whose walked all the way from Sydney.

British Law Elevates Climate Change Belief To Same Status As Relgion
AL Goreans can delight that their green beliefs are now an official religion, in the eyes of the law. One day on from the climate change spiritualists knocking at the door, global warming belief is granted the legal status of a religion.
The messenger is Tim Nicholson, 42, from Oxford, former head of sustainability at property firm Grainger plc. He tells Mr Justice Michael Burton that he was made redundant in July 2008 due to his “philosophical belief about climate change and the environment“.
Mr Burton rules that “a belief in man-made climate change … is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations“.

Al Goreans Sell Inconvenient Truth Sequel As The Bible Code
GLOBAL warming is no longer the terror it once was. Even rebranding it as climate change is not having the desired efect. What we need is a religious approach. Al Gore is on it.
George Monbiot tells us:
There is no point in denying it: we’re losing. Climate change denial is spreading like a contagious disease. X Factor: How to Date Olly Murs, Hate Danyl Johnson And Daniel Lloyd Gets Wood
ALL the UK mags want to be home of the X Factor, to become the official organ that fans will reach for to read about their fave show’s wannabes, stars and judges. This week’s Heat mag, makes its play, leading with “JEDMANIA”, a tribute to John and Edward Grimes, the X Factor’s answer to America Idol’s Sanjaya Malakar.
For those of you not au fait with Mr Malakar, he was the non-singing, non dancing performer whose hair styles and uselessness kept him on the show week after week. He only failed when all the other acts copied his moves and style and he ended up looking cocky.

Alien Crawls Onto South Pacific Beach
ON Temuka beach, Rose Fraser has potted an alien. Says she:
“I first saw it from a distance and I thought: ‘That’s a big white rock on the shore line … that wasn’t there four days ago’.”
A new island?
“I must admit, I thought: ‘Heck, this is an alien’. It looks like it’s got big ribs coming out of it, but it looks like they could be tentacles, so I don’t know.”

Gordon Brown Has 50 Days To Save The World From Global Warming Plague
GORDON Brown is building up the heat on global warming by telling negotiators flying to the Copenhagen climate summit that they have “50 days to save the world from global warming”.
As luck has it, these 50 days will not be interrupted by General Election, and Brown can focus his energies on telling the Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world’s biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries, that there is “no plan B“.
Says Brown of the coming plagues:
“In Britain we face the prospect of more frequent droughts and a rising wave of floods The extraordinary summer heatwave of 2003 in Europe resulted in over 35,000 extra deaths.”

Greenpeace’s Global Warming Scare Tactics Exposed As Protestors On Parliament Attract Helicopters

GLOBAL warming is dead. The BBC’s Paul Hudson:
For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.
And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.
So what on Earth is going on?
Dunno. Maybe it’s weather. Meanwhile over in Parliament, environmental campaigners stage a protest on the roof of the Houses of Parliament in London. At least 30 activists from Greenpeace occupied the roof of the building.
A police helicopter circled overhead in the drizzle and bemused tourists looked on.

The death of Natalie Morton was linked to the Express’s headline that cancer jab was a killer. Only the science was nonsense, as Ben Goldacre spots. The Guardian’s Roy Greenslade uses the story as a stick to beat the Express. But the Guardian is far from perfect when it comes to its biased reporting on science, like climate change…

JAB AS DEADLY AS THE CANCER
Readers were told:
“The cervical cancer vaccine [Cervarix] may be riskier and more deadly than the cancer it is designed to prevent, a leading expert who developed the drug has warned. She also claimed the jab would do nothing to reduce the rates of cervical cancer in the UK.
Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Express, Dr Diane Harper, who was involved in the clinical trials of the controversial drug Cervarix, said the jab was being ‘overmarketed’ and parents should be properly warned about the potential side effects.”
Gary Andrews observes:
Now, with the death of Natalie Morton, hours after she’d received the cervical cancer vaccine jab [1] was always going to lead to some interesting reporting. Some has been good, some has been bad and some has been scaremongering. Especially after the point where it was established that she died from a tumour and not the jab.

Climate Change Fear: The CO2 Monster Attacks British Children
HERE’S the new video from our British government that says climate change is going to kill you and yours, and your pets. The c02 monster is going to kill the kids in their sleep. If the daymares don’t get them first. Or the turbines.
I’m thinking of changing Anorak’s “scare stories” section to “climate change”:
Climate change sceptics are to be targeted in a hard-hitting government advertising campaign that will be the first to state unequivocally that Man is causing global warming and endangering life on Earth …
The advertisement attempts to make adults feel guilty about their legacy to their children. It features a father telling his daughter a bedtime story of “a very very strange” world with “horrible consequences” for today’s children.
Although, C02 might be just the ticket and its the oxygen that’s gonna kill yer:

Global Warming Triggered The American Samoan Earthquake
YOU remember that tsunami in American Samoa, the one caused by the shifting of the planets tectonic plates?
Well, forget hat you know. The Guardian’s Alexander Chancellor is here to tell you that it wasn’t geology what dunnit - it was global warming:
The Samoans’ community spirit and trust in each other are legendary, and they must also have trusted equally in the benevolence of the weather to build themselves houses without walls. The tsunami will have cruelly shattered that trust.
