Polar Bears Commit Suicide In New Cinema Advert
POLAR Bear Watch: Anorak’s at-a-glance look at polar bears in the news: Polar bears are falling from the skies and being used to illustrate how climate change activism is based on bad science.
In the Mail, Christopher Booker asks:
Are we making the most expensive mistake in history?
On the Government’s own figures, the Climate Change Act is going to cost Britain £18 billion a year - that’s £720 for every household in the country - every year from now until 2050.
Of course, the thing about global warming is that even if it is not happening now, it might happen in the future. The irony is that what Booker calls a “colossal scare story” should feature in the Mail, home to scare stories.
But we should be afraid because Plane Stupid has filmed polar bears falling from the skies – without parachutes!

Gay Penguins Star At 27th Annual Banned Books Week
THE 27th annual Banned Books Week, organised by the American Library Association, seeks to focus attention on books that have been banned.
The facts are that since 2001 “bans on 3,736 books and other materials have been requested.”
Requested by whom? Gordon Brown would quite like the Sun to be banned. But the Sun is not top of the hit list. The BBC does not say who made the requests, only that they were recorded:
In recent years, Tango Makes Three - based on a true story and centring on gay penguins in New York’s Central Park Zoo - has had the most ban requests.

Glacier Weeps For Global Warming
THE newspapers love campaigns, what with them being the only thing that differentiates one paper from another. But even campaigns get samey, and the Daily Mail, printed on recycled doilies and written by hacks fed on drips of salt water one and OAP bile is highlighting the perils of global warming.
And beneath a picture of a glacier, the paper tells its readers:
At first glimpse it looks like any other glacier you might find in the freezing Arctic wastes of Norway. But on closer inspection an eerie face is depicted in the melting ice wall that appears to be crying a river of tears.
Yeah, glacier meting in the summer. And crying, like the icy Virgin Mary.
The striking image of the Austfonna ice cap, located on Nordaustlandet in the Svalbard archipelago, would seem certain to be heavily used by environmentalists protesting against climate change.
A bit like that striking image of the polar bears on the small chunks of ice, the pictures that looked as though the bears were warming the ice in a effort to hatch it.

Kerry Katona In Fight For Kids And Installs CCCTV
KERRY Katona, formerly Kerry McPadding, is in “Kerry cop quiz”, embroiled in allegations that she has taken cocaine.
While Anorak investigates if bi-polar medication can be snorted, the Sun says Kerry’s Kapers could be the last, er, straw:
TROUBLED Kerry Katona will be quizzed by police on Monday about her cocaine-snorting shame.
The Sun knows it was cocaine – just knows it:
Katona, 28, was keeping mum yesterday when she returned from holiday in Tenerife with husband Mark Croft. But she must explain to cops how she ended up being filmed secretly in her home taking the Class A drug.
Anorak suspects the teddy bear cam, or the Celebrity Police Force’s new CCCTV, which are to be installed in every celebrity’s house in the UK. CCCTV will alert the CPF to any wrongdoing and with it the opportunity for a meet and greet.
Meanwhile, Kerry marked the outing of her anthrax-snorting video by jetting off on her holidays:
A pal of the I’m A Celebrity winner said: “She has been totally stressed out on this holiday. She has told her inner circle of friends that she doesn’t want police at her house because she doesn’t want her kids to see them. But she has resigned herself to the fact that she has a lot of explaining to do. It has been just about the worst week of her life.”
But while Kerry takes the waters and the ice crystals, the Star says:
“BRIAN: I’LL TAKE KIDS”

Climate Sceptics Vote BNP And UKIP
RICHARD North looks at how the BNP wants to talk about more than race - and their views on it are odious - and talk about global warming and how the science is biased and the BBC’s representation of that science utterly devoid of balance and circumspection.
Before we get to that interview, know that the UKIP manifesto runs:
UK Independence believes that global warming is a recognisable phenomenon, but that there is insufficient proof that this is generated by carbon emissions. The over-reaction by other parties to global warming borders on the hysterical and risks damaging Britain’s economy and its people’s way of life.

GLOBAL warming will melt the ice, sea lels will rise drowning milions of acres of land us a soup of polar bear fur, slush and oh-so-fresh water. Or not:
WHILE a collapse of the West Antarctic ice sheet will have devastating impacts on global sea levels, a study has found the anticipated impact has been seriously overestimated. Using new measures of the ice sheet’s geometry, British and Dutch researchers predict its collapse would cause sea levels to rise by 3.2m, rather than previous estimates of five to seven metres.

Polar Bear Attacks Woman In Berlin (Video)
WHEN Anorak learnt that a polar bear had attacked a woman in Berlin, we thought of Knut stood atop the Brandenburg Gate, roaring with triumph as he stuck Lily Allen’s hair on his head
When we read that Knut was meeting with his therapist at the time, we thought of another nut - the woman who dived into the polar bear enclosure at Berlin Zoo.

Green Shirt Offer: Save The Planet With The Earth S-Mother
JONATHAN Porritt, chair of the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says “couples” who have more than two children are being “irresponsible”.
The third child creates “an unbearable burden on the environment”. So the third child has to go, for the good of mankind. Abortion for Mother Earth!
Says Porrrit:
“I think we will work our way towards a position that says that having more than two children is irresponsible. It is the ghost at the table. We have all these big issues that everybody is looking at and then you don’t really hear anyone say the “p” word.”
The P word is of course Baby P. He is the ghost at the table, or one of them.
