Save Perez: Perez Hilton Is Scientology’s ‘Latest Victim’

scientology Save Perez: Perez Hilton Is Scientologys Latest VictimCELEBRITY blogger gone native Perez Hilton (and family) is introducing his readers to the wonders of Scientology.

Anorak’s Man in the ratsnest tells us:

“Notice the text on pink background below, sandwiched between badly written blog stories?

“That’s not just an informational blurb about the Church of Scientology – it’s space bought & paid for by the church. And who’s the recipient of those Scientology dollars? Perez Hilton.”

Nothing wrong with anything about that. You can support what you like on your own blog. But Perez Hilton seems a little confused about what his views on Scientology are. He likes their money – unless he’s posting the ads for free? - but doesn’t seem to much like them:

On the matter of John Travolta’s son Jett’s death:

This must have been a very difficult day for the star, but we wonder if there will be any backlash from the Scientology community, where discussion of developmental disorders is a big no-no.

The weird Katie Holmes:

Look at Tom’s intense gaze! Well, the couple that jogs together…loves Xenu together?

Jett Travolta Court Case: Scientology Round-Up

jeettt full Jett Travolta Court Case: Scientology Round UpIT is alleged that when John Travolta’s son Jett died in the Bahamas, former senator Pleasant Bridgewater (oh, nominative determinism) and medic Tarino Lightbourne did demand $25m (£15m) from the actor in return for keeping secret a document relating to 16-year-old’s treatment.

Both deny the charge.

Travolta says he had found nannies trying to revive his son. He soon took over the resuscitation attempts. His son was autistic and suffered from seizures.

Police inspector Andrew Wells tells the court that Mr Travolta had wanted his son flown to the US instead of the nearest Bahamian hospital. He said Mr Lightbourne asked Travolta to sign on a statement confirming that he had waived medical treatment for his son.

Mr Travolta says he signed a medical liability release document but in the drama did not read it through.

To the round-up:

Michael Jackson Was Addicted To Scientology

jackson scientology Michael Jackson Was Addicted To ScientologyMICHAEL Jackson Watch: Anorak’s at-a-glance look at Michael Jackson in the news, with Jackson the drug “addict”, the death bed and the Church Of Scientology…

The Scotsman: “Jackson described as an ‘addict’”

Now he’s dead you can describe him however you like…

AUTHORITIES investigating Michael Jackson’s death referred to him as an “addict” and were seeking evidence related to the powerful anaesthetic propofol, according to search warrants.

The Western Australian: “Scientologists behind Jackson’s marriage to Lisa Marie.”

Among other contentious claims, Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson also provides further details of the king of pop’s alleged gay lovers…

In one chapter, Halperin hints that Jackson’s marriage to Elvis’ daughter and Scientology follower Lisa Marie Presley may have been organised by the Church of Scientology.

The marriage was labelled as a sham but both parties always denied it was a fake affair set up to improve the singer’s reputation soon after a child molestation case was settled for $US20 million ($24.49 million).

The religion had apparently wanted to desperately recruit the mega-rich singer and perhaps help him overcome his alleged homosexuality, Halperin said.

Such are the facts.

Examiner: Omer Bhatti is not my son - but he is my grandson…

Reports of Michael Jackson’s “secret” son, Omer Bhatti, have been swirling the internet for the past couple of weeks, but with new information, the story has gotten hot once more.

Katie Holmes Issues Crew With Scientology Confidentiality Agreement

tom cruise scientology1 Katie Holmes Issues Crew With Scientology Confidentiality AgreementKATIE  Holmes is so sensitive to comments and questions on Scientology that she has, reportedly, asked crew members on her new film not to mention it:

One film source from the set said that each crew member had signed agreements saying they would not ask the superstar about her religion, Scientology. The couple, who have braved chilly weather to explore the city and have happily chatted to locals, are notoriously private when it comes to questions or discussions about their religion.

Notoriously private. Cue the video:

Michael Jackson Wanted Muslim Burial

michael jackson glove Michael Jackson Wanted Muslim BurialBY now you’re probably wondering what Michael Jackson’s been up to. Good to see that the news and broadcast media has been given the King of Pop his dues and playing his songs non-stop for hours now.

For years all we’ve heard about Jackson is that he’s nuts and has a face that presents his impersonators with a moving target.

But then we get a text message that say Michael Jackson has died. And who cannot help feel an extra pang that no sooner has the world woken once more to his talent than he is dead.

It’s a cruel irony, but one Jackson with his keen sense of the absurd would have enjoyed.

Of course, with Jackson gone, you can now say what you like about him. You can’t libel the dead, so here’s the Sun to say that Jackson had converted to Islam, or hadn’t:

Peaches Geldof Studies Scientology

peaches geldof7 Peaches Geldof Studies ScientologyNEWS reaches us that try-hard rebel Peaches Geldof – the girl who turned up a swinger’s club and found her mum and dad handing out towels - has been studying Scientology for nine months.

The Sunday Mirror’s Dean Piper is excited and says:

The patience of Sir Bob Geldof is set to be tested once more, as I can reveal his daughter Peaches is far more into her Scientology studies than anyone realised. You have to wonder whether Bob will finally be pushed over the edge by her latest antics researching the mysterious faith.

This would be pop star Bob Geldof, the man who squired and bred with wildchild TV presenter Paula Yates, the man who called his daughter Peaches, the man who can be seen about town dressed as aged Zippo clown? He would be outraged by his daughter sitting in a church?

After all, he has remained tight-lipped over her past run-ins with cops, her rumoured drug overdose and her Las Vegas marriage to rocker Max Drummey.

How hard Peaches Geldof tries to look edgy and interesting. And hwo she fails. Mum and dad are always at the party ahead of Peaches. When Peaches arrives at the cool do, mum and dad and the in crowd have already moved on to somewhere much more exclusive.

Millions of Peaches

To be different Peaches would need to do something drastic like get a proper job, say, as a nurse - but not save as many people as dad - or dye her hair blonde – but not as blonde as mum’s.

Instead of being a real rebel, pastiche Peaches trots along to the Church of Scientology centre in LA. And does exactly what’s expected of her. She studies not Islam nor Judaism not Catholicism but Scientology, the remedial religion.

Says a source:

“Peaches became sober a year ago now. And shortly after she started looking for fulfilment in life. She’d had a few crazy years learning to cope with fame and growing up and wanted to see whether she could gain anything in life from any faiths.”

Are you still there? Peaches is learning to cope with fame by attempting against all the barriers presented by a lack of any talent to be famous.

Meanwhile, all the cool cats are studying the new religion - you know, Peaches, that one. Scientology is part of the establishment and soooo very yesterday…

Tom Cruise Proves Study Technology: Video

tom cruise Tom Cruise Proves Study Technology: VideoTOM Cruise. If Tom Crusie were British, and living in the UK, would he expect to get away with this tribute to “study technology?”

Yes. He would have been Tony’s Blair’s Study Technology Tsar. His tapes would be on Gordon Brown’s expense account.

Maggie Thatcher would have taken him outside and have had him shot.

We go off on a tangent. No matter, because Cruise is talking to Scientology peoples, and it’s all tangents.

Take it - and maybe him - away:

Jett Crashes Scientology: Making Mileage From John Travolta’s Loss

scientology celebrity portrait 300x236 Jett Crashes Scientology: Making Mileage From John Travoltas Loss JOHN Travolta’s son Jett Travolta is dead, and the Daily Mirror announces in a bold headline:

“TRAVOLTA SON HAD ‘DEATH–LIKE ‘SEIZURES’.”

He might well have had them right before he died in a Bahamas hotel. And Anorak readers may wonder if you can have a seizure once you are dead?

Of course, this story is not about Jett Travolta, who was famous in life for being named as an aeroplane. The story is one of celebrity. And the Mirror ends its piece on the death of a teenager is never knew with:

“Stars who have comforted Travolta and his wife with messages and phone calls include fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise.”

And in the Sun:

“Oprah Winfrey was due to arrive in the Bahamas…to comfort the couple. Tom Cruise, a fellow Scientologist… plans to visit the family.”

Tom Cruise… Scientology… A link? The Gawker website speculates:

Death At The Scientology Center

SCIENTOLOGY. It’s under siege:

A man in his 40s drove up to the Centre in a red convertible yesterday afternoon. He got out of his car and approached three security guards carrying two 5-foot samurai swords in each hand. This shit sounds like just a regular afternoon down in Tommy Girl’s sex dungeon. Unfortunately, it was not and one of the security guards shot the man with a semiautomatic handgun. According to the police, the surveillance video showed the man waving the swords at the guards. One of the HBICs of the LAPD said, “The evidence is very clear the security officers were defending their safety.”

Taser that!

DB “Do you consider yourself a Scientologist?”

DB “That it is too exotic? Too cultish?”

QUEENSFERRY GAZETTE (Scotland): “We’ve been ad”

A CONCERNED mum has spoken out about the potential hazards posed by new outdoor advertising boards. Janette Sheppard is also worried that other parents may think the boards are simply lamp-posts.

Lamp-posts, for paedos to hide behind… Like those (G)litter bins

She said: “These have just sprung up – one is outside my son’s primary school. At first glance it would be easy to mistake them for lamp-posts, but they are actually advertising boards.”

The wonders of modern technology. Who would have thunk it. Go on…

Scientology Can Be A Cult: UK Police Drop Legal Action

IN the UK, Scientology can be called a cult - because it is:

Legal action has been dropped against a 15-year-old who faced prosecution for branding Scientology a “cult”.

The teenager held up a sign which read, “Scientology is not a religion, it is a dangerous cult”, in May outside its headquarters in the City of London.

City of London Police said it had received complaints and warned the teenager to get rid of the sign as it breached the Public Order Act.

Human rights campaigners vowed to take action against the police.

Lawyers for the human rights group Liberty represented the teenager in his legal battle.

James Welch from the organisation said: “The police may have ended their inquiries into this tawdry incident but rest assured that Liberty’s inquiry will continue.

“Democracy is all about clashing ideas and the police should protect peaceful protest, not stifle it”…

Cult:

A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) spokesman said: “In consultation with the City of London Police, we were asked whether the sign was abusive or insulting.

“Our advice is that it is not abusive or insulting and there is no offensiveness (as opposed to criticism), neither in the idea expressed nor in the mode of expression.”

A spokeswoman for the City of London Police said: “The CPS review of the case includes advice on what action or behaviour at a demonstration might be considered to be ‘threatening, abusive or insulting’.

“The force’s policing of future demonstrations will reflect this advice.”

The SPECTRE Of Scientology

SCIENTOLOGY is a religion. So is cat worship. So is being an Anorakian. Why? Because we say so, that’s why and anyone who says otherwise will be shouted down:

Scientology is a balls-out racket. It is a scam. Scientology’s auditing process (and this is where the cultic, once your in, your in, for the duration thing comes-up - doesn’t the mafia work like that too?) means revealing your deepest secrets, regrets and sins to the “church”. Unlike the Catholics who rigourously enforce the confidentiality of the confessional the Scientologists will, if you ever threaten to leave, use it against you.

Everyone has things that they would destroy them if they were publicised. I once orchestrated a coup in a small African country from a base in an extinct volcano with the aid of a lot of fit-birds in 1960’s specs and very short lab coats, holding clipboards for no apparent reason, whilst I stroked my Persian cat. That should never be revealed. Oh, bugger! Like all Bond villians I give it away towards the end.

Any fits birds in Scientology?
