Left Brain V Right Brain: Watch The Dancer
The Right Brain vs Left Brain test … do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? As reported: “If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.”I could not make the dancer turn anti-clockwise. The more I looked the more she went clockwise. I think she sped up.
Not usual Anorak stuff, but can anyone see it going anti-clockwise? It’s a scam, right?

the original article is way more sped up.

She started out clockwise then suddenly changed her mind(son’t they all?)
October 17th, 2007 at 9:41 am
It started out clockwise but I found if I looked at her feet this slowly drifted upwards she started going anti.
Does that mean I am ambibrainstrous?

well first it went anti clockwise and then it went clockwise, what does that mean? Has one half of my brain stopped working and been taken over by the other?
October 17th, 2007 at 8:57 am
Definitely going anti-clockwise. And I am left-handed. Interesting.

(The font will change)

BOTH!!!
It is not an optical illusion, depends on when you click.
That’s my final answer!

18-
Indeed, it is an optical illusion. I think it focuses on where her legs cross over and the little “leap” in the dance. I sent this to a friend, as this is the first I’ve seen of it, and they had trouble seeing it any other way other than clockwise as well at first.

ANORAK & JUNE
Uh… it’s a Gestalt thing…. like noticing the distracting backlit serifs rather than the rest of the font when trying to read the new-look Anorak site.
P L E E Z E change back to sanserif for body-text.
TEST: someone tell me this is more readable in Times than in Arial.
( Scientific tests show this would mean you have a very strange brain. And remember that web designers, however unqualified, don’t actually want to READ the texts they’re formatting.)

Its what you want to see….
October 16th, 2007 at 8:25 pm
I can see her anti-clockwise and clockwise according to what I want to see.
October 16th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
It is some kind of optical illusion (I haven’t been able to pin it down to the exact bit though, and I refuse to stare at this all day!) . You can see both ways though, sans acid.
October 16th, 2007 at 8:04 pm
It’s nonsense - I know. She spins clockwise only. Sure of it
October 16th, 2007 at 7:52 pm
It’s not a scam..just focus looking at her foot closest to the ground only
October 16th, 2007 at 7:49 pm
Forgot to mention, concerted effort to see it anti made me feel nauseous. For all you scientific folks out there!
October 16th, 2007 at 7:37 pm
It’s different now. Is this a trick???
October 16th, 2007 at 7:35 pm
She certainly goes clockwise. It seems to me obvious from the bob of hair at the back of her head that she is spinning clockwise. The was being emailed around two or so weeks ago. I assumed then it was a joke.
October 16th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Anti Clock-wise. I can’t even see it clockwise.
October 16th, 2007 at 7:25 pm
Now I see both ways. Bizarre. Then again I am an ambidextrous acid casualty from the 80’s
October 16th, 2007 at 7:19 pm
Anti clockwise witout doubt!
October 16th, 2007 at 7:18 pm
Yes, it can be seen both ways. Not a scam (although the left brain/right brain interpretation might be).
I can see it both ways with a little concentration, although clockwise predominates.
BTW - Yes, nice body. Let’s see her face… As goes the body, so goes the face, and vice versa. (What do you MEAN, she isn’t real? It can’t be!)
October 16th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
I could only see clockwise for ages but if I let myself look but not look - if you get my drift - let my eyes glase, I could make it/see it turn anti. And yes it speded up.
October 16th, 2007 at 6:35 pm
She only goes clockwise - I’m certain-ish…
October 16th, 2007 at 6:20 pm
She’s hot, whatever way she spins.
October 16th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
my Mrs can see it turning to. Do we win a prize?
October 16th, 2007 at 6:01 pm
In my head…she switches at the start (she started anti-clockwise, then went clockwise for the rest of the time), do you think this is the result of the lobotomy?
I did it again, and now I can’t see her going clockwise at all…I don’t like these Ipod ads gone amiss!
Blah, the third time she is clockwise again! Anorak, this isn’t fair!
October 16th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
yes, and so can my sister in law.
