Why Westboro Baptist Church Hates Heath Ledger
HEATH Ledger is dead and the religionists at the Westboro Baptist Church are excited.
Read more about that here.
Here’s an interview with Shirley Phelps-Roper. And here.
Shirley is one of the daughters of Fred Phelps, the leader of the WBC.
God is all powerful yet has a spokesperson like this… Is it part of an eqaul opportunities programme?

They are soooo pathetic!
As if what they’re doing is going to stop people being gay!
All they’re doing is making people hate them.
They need to grow up and find something useful to do with their time and f*cked up beliefs and stop being so god damn prejudice!
Is that their way of getting to “heaven”?
I could think of better ways…

The bible states and I am paraphrasing that “we should not throw stones, or pass judgement.”
The world has enough hatred without bringing more into it. Heath Ledger is a child of god and those who pass judgement are no better then a rapist, murderer. The death of a child is hard enough without so called christian people picketting the funeral of Heath. His family needs all the support and love to get through such a difficult time.

what ever happened to “love thy neighbor” i only linstened to half of this crap. i can tell you i live in the midwest and this is embarassing!!!! i only hope that heath’s family does not stumble on to this website. i am praying for heath and his family. it is so america to turn this tragic death into a media frenzy. these people are not what christians stand for, and everyone wonders why people hate america!!!!!!!!!!! come on now!

Some of these insular splinter “christian” groups are more inbred than that Chinese kitten. Has Deliverance taught them nothing?
January 27th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
um…. I think it’s more like God loves EVERYONE and you don’t even have a clue. LEAVE HEATH ALONE. LET HIM REST IN PEACE SERIOUSLY! I guess this commentary shows what this lady REALLY knows…. IT IS JUST A MOVIE. HE IS JUST AN ACTOR AND HE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO DEFY GOD. SO SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE.

…The Baptists are really not proper Baptists, but a splinter group, who have set themselves up because they are bored with simple religion….

Or possibly because they’re simple…

Heath Ledger was only playing the part, and did it very well indeed. The Baptists are really not proper Baptists, but a splinter group, who have set themselves up because they are bored with simple religion. The best thing that people can do is laugh at them!!!!!

They’re not real Baptists.
They set up their own Church and are following their own rules.
erm…and the difference between doing that and believing someone else’s made-up religion is….?

The Phelps’ hate Catholics as much as they hate gays - in fact they think the Catholic clergy are all gays.
I expect they hate all non-Westboro Christians.

Just what we need. More groups that spread hate and prejudice.
These people are delusional if they truly believe that this behavior is acceptable or warranted in any way, shape, or form. Very sad.
January 26th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
I don’t think he’s any kind of Christian…
January 26th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
He is baptist. Not a Catholic Christian
January 26th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
I think that you have to bear in mind that any resemblance between the Phelps family and Christians is confined to the fact that both sets are human beings.
And having looked at the Phelps, even that is open to doubt…
January 26th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Why does baptist church doesn’t hate murderers, rapists, and criminals instead??? I mean, you are idiots!!!
January 26th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
One wonders , indeed, what the Phelps family have to say about the clergy of mainstream Christian faiths and the less than salubrious shenanigans that have been addressed by various Law Courts and found extremely wanting.
I’m straight, not homophobic, and this young man has tragically died, wouldn’t it be the CHRISTIAN thing to do to leave his family to mourn their loss. But then, I am only a barbaric Pagan, what would I know?
