And did the policeman know what this Americano was talking about when he got chatting about the 'city of London', 'cos - you know - the 'city of London' to an American0 is vastly different to the 'city of London' of a Londoner.

ie. for Americanos, the 'city' is what you guys would call the 'Financial District'.  It is NOT the city as a whole, and does not include the West End or, indeed, anything outside of EC...  whatever.

However, as the person chatting to the UK police on this occasion, as an Americano, no doubt he talked about the City from A - B,  Abridge to Brentford.
