Hillary Clinton’s 3am Girl Supports Obama

hillary Hillary Clintons 3am Girl Supports ObamaTHE girl in Hillary Clinton’s 3 a.m. advert is an Obama supporter.

The first girl in the ad is young Casey Knowles. It’s stock footage from eight years ago when she worked as a TV extra - footage owned now by Getty Images and used by the Clinton campaign.

But they couldn’t have picked a more unwilling star.

“It’s really sort of ironic that my image would be used to advocate for Hillary when I myself do not,” said Casey.

She may only be 17, but Casey has some very strong political opinions. She turns 18 - legal voting age - in April, in plenty of time before the general election.

“It’s perfect timing because I have a candidate that I really identify with,” she said.

“I’ve been campaigning for Barack Obama for a few months now,” she said. “I was actually a precinct captain at the caucuses a few months ago. I attended his rally a few months ago and I’m a very, very avid supporter.”

Says Obama’s campaign manager David Plouffe: “We think that the young actress in that stock footage who’s now supporting us has got sound judgment as to who the strongest commander in chief would be.”

As Jamie Wearing asks: “Now with the clocks moving ahead tonight, does this mean a fully made-up Hillary will be getting calls at 4 a.m.?”

  1. 1 Anthony Says:

I think that this irony will have a direct impact on the Clinton campaign.
What was meant to pillory Sen. Obama may well blow up in Hillary’s ‘oh-so-smug’ face.

  2. 2 Jean Ryder Says:

Did Casey Knowles get paid for the ad? Then she should act like a professional and not someone that is in it for just the money. I am sure the Clinton campaign had a release from Casey Knowles to use her image. If Casey does not support Hillary Clinton why did she sign the release? Casey likes the spotlight and the money but not the people she released her image to. Young Americans should have better moral values and judgment.

The phone ad for Hillary Client was intended to move people to decide for themselves which candidate had the most experience with handling a crisis situation. My vote is with Hillary Clinton. She has been able to name off from start to finish the correct protocol with handling foreign policy situation. Obama has a great speech and a wonderful way of creating divide of one against the other. See what Obama has done with Casey Knowles, is he using her or is she using him for the stoplight??????

  3. 3 Peter Burns Says:

Hey Jean? You are being very judgmental even though you admit in your own post that you don’t know the full story. The Story says that the video is from EIGHT years ago. A video taken from when she was 9-10 years old. While she might have gotten paid for her job back then (more likely her parents) this means jack squat. Since it is storage footage The Clinton Administration didn’t have to pay her again, but could take old videos that they owned and use it as they saw fit. The videos original use might have been something far different than what it was used for today.

Also, it was eight years ago. During this time especially since she was just a kid at the time, I think we shouldn’t be upset with her if she changed her mind. (and who says she even supported the Clintons, or moreso Hillary back then. It would be her custodians that decided videos she was going to appear in, not her.)
