Eliot Spitzer Revealed In Prostitute Scandal

Eliot Spitzer Revealed In Prostitute ScandalREPORTS the NY Times: “Governor Eliot Spitzer has informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, an administration official said this morning.”

New York Governor Spitzer Is Linked to Prostitution Ring.”

Mr. Spitzer is a first-term Democrat who “pledged to bring ethics reform and end the often seamy ways of Albany”. That reads like the back of an official biography on the man. But Mr Spitzer may not be so dull.

Mr Spitzer may be guilty of no wrongdoing. But for this brush with scandal he appears all the more human, part of the jumble of complexities that make us up.

The NY Times reports: “The governor’s travel records show that he was in Washington in mid-February. One of the clients described in court papers arranged to meet with a prostitute who was part of the ring, the Emperors Club VIP on the night of Feb. 13.”

The Emperors Club. People will get upset and purse their lips and clack their tongues in disgust. No apostrophe. For shame!

That might be the least of the sins revealed in this story. Or the worst.

Says the NYT: “Mr. Spitzer appeared on a CNBC television show at 7 a.m. the next morning. Later in the morning, he testified before a Congressional committee.”

Feel free to be disgusted. The CNBC sofas should be taken from this place and burnt. At 7am, children could have been watching.

Mr Spitzer may have down no wrong. But it might all depend on what your view of wrong is…

    Emporers’ or Emporer’s ?

Ok am not a US taxpayer, but because some people do NOT frequent the Ladies of the Night, does that make them more moral? Who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

  2. 2 Bill Says:

What goes on behind closed doors? What goes with doors wide open. What kind of cocky SOB appoints some schmuck who donated a piddly $5k to his campaigns, a schmuck with zero experience and zero geographical connection to join the New York Thruway Board?? That was Friday. Serves the dick right that he is indicted now. Dig deeper FBI.

  3. 3 Cheryl Says:

Sex has been the downfall of many men in public office! It is not like back in the Kennedy days when the press looked the other way and never wrote a word and mistresses and/or call girls kept their mouths shut. Newspapers now make their money on the headline scandals and the women write books and/or sell their stories to the highest bidder.

  4. 4 JuneJohnson Says:

    Oh some of them sang…..

  5. 5 David Says:

I live in Wisconsin, our govenor is way to dull for a good prostitution scandal. Maybe a cheese related scandal……….
New Yorkers have all the fun.
