GodTube: Looking For Porn With Jesus

GOD Tube features a flip-through Bible and prayer blogs. It has received a $30 million investment from GLG Partners, a London hedge fund.

The investment valued GodTube at nearly $150 million, according to PaidContent.org. GodTube is ownded by Big Jump Media.

“People thirst for more than just a once-a-week relationship with the Lord and Savior,” says Jason Illian, Big Jump Media’s chief strategy officer in the NY Times. “They desire something that they can live out 24/7.”

With funding comes a desire for growth and advertisers. But on GodTube content must gain approval from the site’s headquarters in Plano, Tex. Vulgar, overtly sexual material is banned as are videos promoting other religions — but you can search for them on JewTube.com and IslamicTube.net.

Perhaps the site will take donations?

To those unfamiliar with Anorak, one of the most potent driving forces of modern art, it would look like an accidental space in the article.

In reality, of course, Anorak has, once more, transfixed us with his artistic vision, graphically driving us to the hollow core of life without spiritual meaning, whether it be Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu or Rastafarian.

It is the absence which draws us to the absence; what more can be said?

We create the gap that others may fill…

    Verily…

And verily, the gap has been filled!

This undoubtedly is what Jeff Nuttall characterised as a Happening, with the second stage now presented forcing us to reflect on the transient nature of all human experience.

This, coupled with the realisation that the role of the artist as Deus ex Machina may have a deeper significance, brings us back full circle to considering our spiritual core.

And it means we can flog it twice…
