Peta Is Off Its Head: Greyhound Cannibal Strikes Blow For Animal Rights
A MAN has been beheaded on a Greyhound bus in Canada. In Canda, no-one can hear you scream. It’s like living in a chicken shed, only bigger, colder and without Jamie Oliver.
Peta, the animals rights militants have not claimed responsibility for the killing, but they are using it to further their cause. They are running an advert. It goes:
“His struggles and cries are ignored … the man with the knife shows no emotion … the victim is slaughtered and his head cut off … his flesh is eaten
“If this ad leaves a bad taste in your mouth, please give a thought to what sensitive animals think and feel when they come to the end of their frightening journey and see, hear and smell the slaughterhouse.”
Do passengers boarding a Greyhound bus sense journey’s end? Can it be that the victim of the beheading knew what has coming, it being what routinely occurs on Greyhound buses?
Lindsay Rajt of PETA explains:
“Like human victims, animals in slaughterhouses experience terror when they are attacked by a knife-wielding assailant. We are challenging everyone who is rightly horrified by this crime to look into their hearts and consider leaving violence off their dinner plates.”
That’s not a steak. That, my friend, is a knife crime. The lamb chop is part of Broken Britain. Peta tried to place the advert in a Canadian newspaper, but it never made it to print.
PETA is running the ad to make people rethink the proposition that it is, rightly so, a criminal act to kill and eat our own kind but that it’s “OK” to kill every other species but our own and eat them.
We humans are the planet’s virus. Says Peta’s Ingrid Newkirk: ”I really felt that I knew that so long as there were children who needed homes it was only vanity to have your own.” She’s not reproducing. Rest easy.
If we are gong to kill anyone, please let us just kill ourselves and leave the animals alone. As Peta once wrote to Yasser Arafat:
I am writing from an organization dedicated to fighting animal abuse around the world. We have received many calls and letters from people shocked at the bombing in Jerusalem on January 26 in which a donkey, laden with explosives, was intentionally blown up.
Peta called on the Tamil Tigers to and in a letter to the Sri Lankan group’s leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, said that “the explosive device that was set off near the zoo’s bird enclosures terrified many animals at the zoo.”
Bruce McQuain wins Headline of the Day honors for his piece on this, “PETA pleads with rebels to stick with murdering humans.”
And not to kill animals. Because that’s Peta’s job. And it loves human flesh…

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Ingrid Newkirk is barking. She is also very powerful and dangerous. Good to see so many people are catching on around the world. She is the ultimate exterminator.

PETA should give a public apology to the survivors and the family of Tim McLean (the young man that was murdered). Despite many calls for an apology, PETA just sends out replies that attempt to justify the ad. Terrorists. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I really wished they hadn’t living in Winnipeg the news of his death was shocking enough. But now Peta wants to use it as their advantage? No that’s not fair not to mention hurtful to friends, family and people in Winnipeg.

PETA is sick. Why compare animals to humans? This is just a repeat of the holocaust advertisement [they showed lines of starving caged up Jewish people next to caged up chickens]. If they sincerely believe that animals are equal to humans they would live naked in the woods amongst them, not destroying their habitats with their person-made homes.
I would not feel bad if the PETA organization was destroyed in some way.

I’m into animal welfare, but Peta have managed to alienate everyone over this, they really should be ashamed.

I agree that the ad is “sick” and doesn’t do any good for a good cause, viz. animal welfare
Shame on you “Peta”!

Fanatics don’t really understand the way non-fanatics see things. They wont have meant to hurt the victim’s family - they’re just blinkered.
They’ll apologise if they think their P.R. needs it, but I doubt they’ll really understand why the public objected.

Oh yeah. Cause the thing that really revolted us about the January 26th bombing was the donkey’s death. Threatening terrorist activity, PETA reminds us that there was a donkey sacrificed in this act.

I quite agree with Karen. PETA needs to get a few priorities straight…

PETA are the ones that need slaughtering and all the “celebrities” that support this bunch of crackpot terrorists.

I don’t always agree with PETA because in my opinion it’s become too welfarist (although I definitely agree with Ingrid about not having kids because there are so many homeless kids already), but in this case, PETA is right on. What happened to that unfortunate young man on the bus is inflicted daily on millions of nonhuman animals, and few are outraged–most humans persist in believing that killing and eating the flesh of nonhumans is perfectly sane and ethical. What PETA is saying in it’s in-your-face way is not that human lives are worth less than the lives of other animals, but that humans should never forget that they’re not the only species whose lives deserve consideration and respect. It’s not Us versus Them. All species are in this together.

No matter what we are never going to live in a society that is 100% vegatarian. I myself was vegatarian for almost 10 years.
But what peta has done here is.. Their comparing animals to people and it proves that there blinded by their cause and have lost the ability to think criticaly. First of all animals are part of the food source. If we were never to eat animals and poultry and fish…….we would have such an over population of animals we would all be starving in order to feed them all.
Just because some die hard vegatarian decided that it was not humane to eat animals does not make it the truth
The truth is… Animals are our food source, and those that say this is not so are in a lie, and they are presenting this lie as a truth…….and then are trying to get meat eaters to answer to their lie as if it is a truth.
What Peta should be focusing on. Is a way to kill the animals humanley so they dont even know it’s happening. Find a cheaper way for them to do this then how they are doing it now and they will do it!
as a human we are supposed to be the most intelligent speices on the plant we should have the responsibility to perform this work in the least posisble hurtful way possible
Peta should Use your recourses to find a way to help these people to kill and illiminate these animal in a less painfull way
Find a way to make it cheaper and it will be done! and that is all the big corporations will ever listen to in the end. is MONEY! their not stupid if they save money by using a different method of killing these animals they will do it. Then Use your moral judgement on Moral issues like child ponography or child starvation.
By peta useing this story… You just re-comminted the same crime that you are accusing others of by using the greyhound bus story to further your agenda………..again……your lies are seen………..you are presenting a moral issue for a non moral issue and presenting it as a truth.

I’m vegetarian of some 15 years standing - I agree animals are part of the food chain, but since WW11 we in the West have been overfeeding on forcefed battery animals, whose life span is short and miserable. Its affecting people too - more cancers of the bowel and other parts of the alimentary canal, raised blood pressure and many other diseases which arise because of a high protein diet.
We have swung away from insufficient foodstuffs to too much and are suffering because of it.
Animals breed (us included) if the food is on feast levels, but once famine hits, animals stop breeding or kill their newborn -there is a balance in Nature, its Humanity that messes about with this balance.
But I agree PETA have lost sight completely of what they are meant to stand for,I used to make donations, but don’t like their almost terrorist stance.
We should be able to respect all species, but its only Mankind that gets a kick out of killing, and I think we need to start viewing ourselves with a less adoring worship.
The being who killed the young man on the Greyhound bus was human I understand?

Sorry its not just mankind that gets kicks out of killing - you should see my cats as they all play with a field mouse before killing it and leaving it in the middle of the floor and trotting off for their cat biscuits.

Today is the first time I’ve even heard this story. While we were talking about family and things she says” oh did you hear about this man in Canada on a Greyhound bus ? There was this one guy who was asleep and another male passinger jumped him stabed him and decapatated him.” All I could say was OMG! Then when she said that he carried the head to the front of the bus like a trophy and started eating it….I was ready to vomit. Now I heard about this animal rights activist using it as a way to promote animal rights !
People wake up, wake up, wake up. I’m a christan but I don’t go to church my life and prayers are still intouch with God and every day our lives and what we read in the book of Revelations are here now today. I don’t go to church because of health reasons.
All through my younger life my mother was affraid for me. But if she was alive today she would be a lot more so. I’m 53 and never ever thouth I would hear and see what is going on today. My daughter is married and has a 3 yr old. They are thinking about having another baby. It’s her life but I would never (if I could) bring another life in this world. Baby’s aresweet and inocent and we live in a world that men rape baby’s and tear their lives apart or kill these little wonders of the world. They are coming into a world with no modesty, no religion of any king in our schools and little respect for our nation and our flag.
Wake up people before it’s to late. God bless the young man who was murdered. Thankful that he doesn’t have to live in this crazy world any more ,thankful he is in a better place than we are.

From Animal Rights harangue to a religious rant, h’mmm interesting if totally irrelevant

I personaly agree with PETA on this. I’ve been on and off vegan for almost three years now, but at least vegetarian, and find the act of murder and/or cannibalism as sweet justice to those who selfishly believe that humans have the right to raise and harvest animals as though they are crops. I myself, like most vegetarians, have an ironic interest in cannibalism and don’t see anything wrong with comparing the murder of one person, or persons even, with that of the slaughtering practices that go along with factory farming so most of you can go to walmart and get a steak for less then dirt when the actual price of life, which last I checked, was a mirical and therefore priceless.
