100 Year Old Jessie Burke Woman Shot Dead
JESSIE Burke is the victim of anti-ageist murderer. Jessie Burke was aged 100 when she was shot dead.
She may be the oldest murder victim in New York state history.
Police are hunting for the gunman who killed a 100-year-old woman in her home in the Hamptons.
CBS 2 HD got reaction Monday from stunned neighbors.
Just over the bridge and off a peninsula from Sag Harbor, the tiny 2-and-half square mile village of North Haven, where residents were stunned to learn of the murder of one of East End’s oldest residents.
“Obviously, this type of crime is out of character for the area, but also a 100-year-old woman being shot is unique,” said Suffolk County Homicide Det. Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick.
How many live long enough to be shot at 100?

The last would be a necessity what with the first; and the second you’d wind up getting anyway after repeatedly faked paroxysms of coughing to explain the fact that you’d pissed yourself. Followed by “I’m 124, you know.” - and a secret chuckle at the legions of descendants who have to change you and feed you for as long as regional news reporters and foreign magazine-style T.V. producers keep paying the bills.

It IS more a a mashie-niblick kind of place, the Hamptons. Still, RIP old woman I didn’t know. I do know that if I got to a hundred I’d start clinging to life like Sylvester the cat on the hull of a ship; just to see if I could make to to World’s Oldest status. Imagine the free drinks, cough mixture and incontinence pads.

Poor Jack; doomed forever to be remembered as the hard nosed detective who took on the mighty forces of disorganised crime…
