  1. 1 Jack McJiggins Says:

    A pramwhat?

    Oh, here we go:

    1. pramface
A word used to describe young women who err, push prams. Often labelled as chavs for having children so young; as it has suddenly become acceptable for the middle classes to openly mock the working classes

Look Winston, a women pushing her own child around and not using a Nanny; she’s a right Pramface.

  2. 2 chenier Says:

I’m with you all of the way on the pramface jibe, Jack, but I note that you do not comment on the sexual adequacy of male Republicans.

This is very sporting of you, since the attempt to explain away the Republican leadership’s inability to get the vote out on the Mother of All Bailouts by claiming that ’twas all Ms pelosi’s fault for saying nasty things about Bush has resulted in the suggestion that they are a bunch of big girls blouses.

Not a happy state of affairs, as I’m sure you will agree, so I hope they will be touched by your display of solidarity in these difficult times.

I’ll just keep on sniggering at them…

  3. 3 Jack McJiggins Says:

We both know that when Hanky met Nancy it was fireworks for two straight days and nights. I think we can say that at least one Rep has the goods to make it happen for a woman in that special way. As for the rest….

  4. 4 Jack McJiggins Says:

‘it was fireworks for two straight days and nights’

Of course, maybe Nancy was faking it…

  5. 5 chenier Says:

I believe Ms Pelosi has been making some very pointed comments about the Republicans’ inability to get it out, but I had thought she was referring to the vote.

As for Sarah Palin’s wand, I am beginning to wonder whether there is some secret message here which we really need to unlock if we are to make any progress on why the Republicans decided that an 72 year old man was up for eight years in the hot seat.

Or maybe it stems from the simple fact that every single American would pray nightly for the continued good health of President McCain, when thinking about the alternative…

  6. 6 Saul Says:

    A bunch of Nancy Boys!

  7. 7 Jack McJiggins Says:

“People ask when will you grow up to be a man
But all the girls I loved at school are already pushing prams”

I actually have a perverse desire to see SP as President. Will anything happen? Will she invade Scotland? Does she even know where Scotland is? I don’t wish death on McCain, just a nice big bed in a retirement home for the next 30 years after he forgets who he is and tries to marry a moose in November 4th.

  8. 8 chenier Says:

    Saul!

You owe me half a glass of Glenlivet.

And I just noticed the 777 Dow Dive; that should bring out the loonies.

    Thank Dog it wasn’t 666…

  9. 9 Saul Says:

Let’s not forget the Democrats that also helped to vote it down. Ms Pelosi will be dealing with these naughty boys and girls before they go again on Thursday.
Should also make the Meeting in St Louis quite interesting as well.

  10. 10 Jack McJiggins Says:

Hank Paulson is a Nancy Boy for sure. He was begging her for it.

  11. 11 Saul Says:

Half a glass of Glenlivet, do they come in half measures?

  12. 12 chenier Says:

No, but I knocked it over trying not to splutter over the laptop, and it was half full at the time.

And it was the last in the bottle as well.

Not that I’m complaining, of course…

Incidentally, I think you need to explain the St Louis bit.

    Please?

  13. 13 chenier Says:

    Jack

I wouldn’t want to shatter any illusions but the media did report that Secretary Paulson was leaning very heavily on the arm of a male Senator…

  14. 14 Jack McJiggins Says:

Hank is clearly buy-sexual. Porn will be the only industry left standing after the Dow reaches -666 the day Bristol goes into Labour.

  15. 15 Saul Says:

I think Ms Palin and Mr Biden are due to do a live TV debate there.

  16. 16 chenier Says:

    Jack

People have been shot for puns that bad, usually by Dick Cheney, but it is good to see that the ongoing crisis isn’t terrifying us into acclaiming our Gordie as Prime Minister for Life.

    Well, not yet, anyway…

  17. 17 Saul Says:

Party politics aside, who would you prefer to be in charge right now. Gordon or David?

  18. 18 Jack McJiggins Says:

    I’ve started so I’ll finish…

    “Labour For Bristol”

    http://www.bristollabourparty.org.uk/

Not yet lads! We want a nice healthy bubba delivered .. you never know, he might be Prez one day.

  19. 19 Jack McJiggins Says:

    I’ve started so I’ll finish….

    “Labour For Bristol”
    bristollabourparty.org.uk/

Not yet lads! We want a nice healthy baby delivered at just the right moment. You never know, he/she might be Prez one day…just like her Granny…mwuhahahahah (etc. etc.).

  20. 20 Saul Says:

I think todays vote spoke volumes about the morals of elected politicians. My impression was that a lot of them held back to see which way the vote was going before they made their vote, and got it horribly wrong.

  21. 21 Jack McJiggins Says:

Erm, personally I’d prefer one of Sarah Palin’s moose-heads as PM. Or Alec Ferguson, with Arsene and Jose as back-up.

  22. 22 Jack McJiggins Says:

Alex not Alec, doh! (or Dow!)

  23. 23 Jack McJiggins Says:

    2. buy-sexual
One who buys sex, othewise known as ***john***.
    “I can’t afford to be buy-sexual… ”
    urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=buy-sexual

    Now then…

  24. 24 chenier Says:

I’m not sure that either of them would have any real power to act at the moment.

Both are at the mercy of forces they cannot control, and both have historical ties to the conviction that the financial markets were wealth creators.

And it’s looking more and more like the biggest Ponzie fraud of all time…

  25. 25 chenier Says:

    Saul,

It looked like passing till almost the end; I think you are probably right that some of the pols voted against, thinking it would pass anyway.

Certainly McCain last week seemed to be doing his best to push the Democrats into being the party to support it; he left Washington once it became clear that our Nancy wasn’t falling for it. But if he had ever given any thought to what was right he certainly showed no sign of it at the time.

    And Jack

Have you seen the article about McCain pushing for the shotgun wedding before polling day?
Of course, you can’t rely on a catastrophe every day to cover the campaign trail, so a whole week of media coverage of the wedding preparations would be an excellent diversion…

  26. 26 Saul Says:

George Osborne, “Tim nice but Dim”, this is manna from heaven for Gordon Brown. I expect the opinion polls to show a renewed confidence for Brown in this crisis.

  27. 27 Jack McJiggins Says:

‘article about McCain pushing for the shotgun wedding before polling day?’

Yes, Chenier, the poor girl’s strife seems far from over.

To repeat myself a bit, I think it would be funny if McCain forgot who he was and tried to marry a moose on November 4th. In 20 years he’ll say in an interview: “Sarah Palin shot my bride on our wedding day and all I got was this lousy private retirement home package.”

  28. 28 chenier Says:

    Saul

It certainly has not been a good time for Osborne; this sort of crisis should be a brilliant opportunity to depict NuLab as idiots for falling for the whole confidence trick of ‘Give us lots of money and we will make your fortune’.

Instead it’s coming across as the Tories being out of their depth.

    Who’d a thunk it?

    And Jack,

I’m fairly sure that most, if not all, States prohibit people marrying moose.

Even if they think it will win an election for the moose marrier; all may be fair in love and war, but the best laid plans of men and moose oft go astray.

Besides, surely Bristol doesn’t want to marry someone that old…

  29. 29 Saul Says:

The biggest problem for Osborne, is slagging off all the money men. Joe Public knows the city is hardly awash with Labour voters. Like it or not the financial market will always be associated with the Conservative party.

  30. 30 June Says:

What about NULab though? Actually come to think of it wonder how their donations are coming in or not
