The US Is In a State Of Emergency
AN Investigation into Whether America Is Still a Constitutional Government.
He writes: “On September 11, 2001, the government declared a state of emergency. That declared state of emergency was formally put in writing on 9/14/2001″:
“A national emergency exists by reason of the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, New York, New York, and the Pentagon, and the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on the United States.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, I hereby declare that the national emergency has existed since September 11, 2001 . . . .”
It’s been extended every year. Most recently, on September 18, 2007.
Because the actions of these persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the United States, the national emergency declared on September 23, 2001, and the measures adopted on that date to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 23, 2008. Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism.
Why? Because the president can do all sorts of things in a state of emergency that wouldn’t normally be legal.
When does an emergency end?

That’s comforting, Dubya, but hadn’t you heard about the latest terrorist assault on our pockets?
They’ve kidnapped Hank Paulson, and the entire Board of the Federal Reserve Bank, and are threatening to release them if their demands aren’t met…

Well he did, until he was sold that reverse-engineered Fully Collateralised Offshore Garbage Dump that was supposed to convert carbon emissions into gold. So far all it’s done is turn gold into an intermittent supply of methane roughly equivalent to that produced by four cows on a rainy afternoon.
Which reminds me, did you ever get hold of the guy who sold you the prototype for your ranch?
Before it blew up?

Can we afford the fuel for them?
Not that I’m trying to be unhelpful, but you get some funny looks if you have to start siphoning off gas from the trucks in the airport carpark before you can launch a strike…

After the Blair years? we have heaved a sigh of relief.
have you seen the golfballs up at Blubberhouses?
October 5th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
No.
But I was pissed off when I read it last night, so the steam has had some time to subside.
A morning’s reflection allowed me to note that we are so broke that there won’t be £12 billion to spare from bailing out the banks.
And then there was the statement that we cannot possibly win the war in Afghanistan, so we will have to negotiate with the Taliban.
There appears to be an outbreak of reality in the army, at any rate…

Bit of an outbreak of strange happenings in the Anorak comments pages….I demand an emergency response.

I think it is very important to be prepared in most of everything that possible happen especially for the emergencies. Wherever we are, there will be always an emergency happen, and we dont know when will it happen. And being prepared and have the things or having emergency kit that we possible need whatever type of emergency will happen, is a clever thing that we do.
