The Republicans are reeling from the financial disaster, they can be flayed alive on the holding up the Bail Out so they could provide support for wooden arrow manufacturers, and every single bit of the GOP’s rhetoric is being turned against them.
The Government has lost all credibility with not only the general public in other countries but the people with some power in other countries.
Every nation has its knuckle draggers but the US has consoled itself that its knuckle draggers are superior, since the US is superior.
And all of a sudden people don’t feel like that anymore; South Africa is congratulating itself on its policies, and the economists there who have ranted about opening up so they, sorry, South Africa, could get on the gravy train are now eating humble pie.
