How about a voice recording or transcript Ed., for those of us overseas that can’t get Radio 4?

  2. Ross Says:

    Not bad….Paul!

  3. Anorak Says:

I was in the shower when they called…did it show?

I put the radio on when I got in from work, just to catch up on the news and I was listening to the report (having switched on just after it started), nodding along, agreeing with whoever the interviewee was (I particularly enjoyed the remark along the lines of “well, the scripts for Eastenders…perhaps ’script’ isn’t quite the right the word…”), thinking whoever the guy was on the radio being interviewed, he was speaking a lot of common sense…only when the interviewer ended by telling us your name and the website you represented did it click.

Nice one. Shame you didn’t have more time, but I think you scored one for the team, nevertheless. Still, kudos for Radio4 for invinting you to speak - perhaps the media are starting to realise what utter fools they’ve been making of themselves these past few weeks..? Maybe.

    Well done Anorak
that was well argued. As for the kind of people who can’t separate Eastenders or Corrie from reality - there’s always those who can’t separate one word from another - remember the riots during the search for Sarah Payne outside the house of a paediatrician. Allegedly they discovered she was a paediatrician from the Yellow Pages and the poor womans house was surrounded by a baying mob which had to be dispersed by police - ans well, er, they got the words mixed up. That’s a true story, I heard the bbc news report as it was happening.
