Hey Mr Anorak I must correct you …Kevin Keegans 1st venture into pop music was much earlier than 1979 as you stated.I have a DEMO copy of It Ain’t Easy/Do I Know You which was recorded prior to a release date scheduled for 17/11/1972 on MAM records (MAM89) .Regards Ray

David 25- as a Gooner, surely the Toon are not a threat. Keegan is a character, respect, same as Sir Bobby, double respect! Only thing I have a problem with is the graft the 1st team put in . They play , most of the time, like a Sunday morning league team. No fire, no passion, no fear of the failure. They pick up the wages , play the play boy and take the PISS, much to my enjoyment and much to Mr Mattys annoyment!!!

Only time I’ve been in St James Park is with a friend from “that London “to watch the Gooners, got throw out after 20mins, along with a Gooner, not my fault even though I was chanting , Super Kevin Philips. Only wished I had my Makem top under the Gooner top.

What fun!!!!!

Matty…. I’m not against the idea of Kev as Toon manager, since I’m an Arsenal supporter I think it’s a fine idea.
And if he fails and Henry Cooper cant do it, maybe Brian London or Jack Bodell could give it a go. If fact, a heavyweight boxer might make a good manager. He probably wont know much about football but he could enforce discipline.
Knowing your manager could knock you senseless with one mighty blow would do wonders for the attitudes of some Toon players.
