THERE’S a fashion for China bashing.
The image is from the pro-Tibet, anti-Chinese government demonstrations in San Francisco.

I’d like to apologize for my fellow americans ignorance of world history. They also dont have much of a grip on geography.
You would think that in a liberal hell hole like San Francisco they would know about Hitlers olympics.. Jesse Owen .. etc. But it seems they dont.
Ah well…………..

Jesse Owen? Wasn’t he that outlaw chap…leader of the notorious Owen gang?

I thought the outlaw chap was Jesse James - was Owen his middle name by any chance…?

maybe the poster guy was being ironic?
or maybe he was making a point: the olympics isn’t about the location but the event.

Dairy, maybe Jesse James was Welsh. Then he could have been called Owen.
I’m sure there was an episode of ‘Ifor the Engine’, where Jones the Steam once got shot while riding shotgun, and the Owen gang unhitched the caboose and nicked all the sheep on their way to market.
Or am I mistaken?

Father always swore Frankie Howard was a Big Jessie. What event did he win?

Mic - sounds like a really exciting episode - I must have missed that one..

maybe the poster guy was being ironic? ……………………..
Could be, but I’ve noticed, living here all these years, that Americans usually dont do irony.
I could be wrong (or ironic)
