DAILY MAIL: “Kate and Gerry McCann to be cleared as Portuguese police close Madeleine investigation”
Portuguese police have concluded their probe into the mystery and found no evidence against the couple, it was claimed today. Fellow suspect Robert Murat will also be cleared of any crime, respected Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias reported.

Robert Murat’s lawyer Francisco Pagarete said he knew nothing of the latest developments in the Madeleine McCann case. He added: ‘We haven’t been contacted by anyone in the police for more than three months. Robert is calm.’
SKY NEWS: “Portuguese detectives have dropped the Madeleine McCann case due to lack of evidence, according to media reports in Portugal.”
At least that’s what Portuguese newspapers say:
Judicial police “do not have sufficient evidence to allow formal charges to be brought against the McCanns in the disappearance of their daughter,” the Correio da Manha newspaper said. “The police have not found the guilty,” echoed the Jornal de Noticias daily.

528 - the law state the presumption of innocence before guilt. For about 3 months, last summer, I believed the McScams were innocent. I presumed innocent until proven guilty. But there’s enough information for me to go on now, and it’s their behaviour, grossly inconsistent with their language and televangelism that gives them away. As it is with any guilty or non-guilty party, the actions and behavior of the accused will always set the truth in motion.

516 - they are ACCOUNTABLE for their daughter missing from their lives. Whether you believe they did it or not; they still left a 3 yr old un-attended along w/ her 2 year old siblings. And the bottom line is, she’s missing as a result of that - or if you believe they did it - she’s missing because of their severe negligence…..And who shouldn’t have mud thrown in their faces for that? Any so called parent should have mud in their face….and let’s try to recall the last time either McCann made a visit to try and find their daugther - where are the search and rescue dogs? Who’s looking for her today?? If they believed she were missing, dead or alive, they’d be on the hunt for her for the rest of their lives. IF they didn’t know where she was - and the last I heard, no body has been found. Why stop searching then??? The last search was done in Sept ‘07 by these ‘parents’ - mud in their faces is the most lenient form of punishment for leaving their children unattended night after night while on vacation. If it were me, I’d bury my head in a barrel of mud - in shame - and in despair. The behavior of these two so called parents is reprehensible - from start to finish - whether they are innocent or guilty - they don’t deny two things:
1) they left three children under age 4 by themselves in a hotel room - unsupervised on multiple nights so they could go out and PARTY
2) their eldest daughter is gone. She is missing as far as the general public and the press is able to report - as there has been no body found. Yet, they no longer keep searching for her….WHY????? Very strange behaviour.

Unfortunately Bf your last post is a reflection of why i dont have much respect for many of your comments.
I havent forgotten the time when you used your own kids negative comments against the McCanns at a very tender time to bolster your own pent up hate towards them. And i was quick to remind you that my 9 year daughter felt sorry for them and would probably have given them flowers. Worlds apart me thinks.
But of course you care about children being left on their own and thats why you want to throw as much mud at this family as possible. The fact that they’ve had their daughter taken from their lives matters not one iota to you because they are just selfish bastards!
Pause for a moments thought and you might just recognise those traits in yourself. And once recognised you might just see the cracks appearing in your own righteous beliefs.

a sad day for Maddy McCann - I still believe that one of the parents or their pals will break one day and write a tell -all confession of what really happened that night. Mind you, it will be a death bed confession - but the truth will be told….and revealed. Bad investigative work is ussually surpassed with loose lips - give it a few more years….
