Giles Coren Is Journalism’s Christ-Like Figure

GILES Coren is hard to like. He is a mixture of smugness and over-promotion. Giles Coren has written a note to the sub-editors at the Times. You can read it all here (typos and all).  

“I only wrote that sodding paragraph to make that joke. And you’ve f****** stripped it out like a p***** Irish plasterer restoring a renaissance fresco and thinking jesus looks s*** with a bear (sic) so plastering over it.

A bit of arcane social stereotyping and a god complex. As we say, it’s hard to like Giles Coren, unless you’re Giles Coren…

    He hasn’t got over his sister being more successful than him.

    I have no idea who his sister is - but apparently she as big as Julie Burchill once upon a time. :shock: That might refer to dress size. :mrgreen:
