IS there one story that sums up the new tabloid-focused Daily Telegraph? This comes close:
A Michelin-starred restaurant chain part-owned by the actor Robert De Niro is serving endangered bluefin tuna at its London outlets without telling customers, DNA tests have shown.
DNA test on food. Make that DNA tests on celebrity food. And why no kangaroo?
Undercover investigators targeted the Nobu chain, which has 21 restaurants on four continents and is the haunt of celebrities such as Madonna, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Greenpeace tested tuna at the Nobu chain, London. Hey, it’s not all whale boats and cold seas.
Willie Mackenzie of Greenpeace said: “Nobu and Robert De Niro are clearly making a great deal of money serving up endangered fish.”
That’s 4 tuna tataki with ponzu at £15 a head, a DNA test and a napkin and pen for autographs…
