She concludes: “He has changed my life in every way.”

Some may see little change in a woman famously in line to inherit a property empire playing a game in which she tries to build up a property empire and place hotels on every block.

But Monopoly is surely being served up as a symbol of something else. Playing it might well be the most boring thing Paris can thing of.

Not too long ago, the Hollywood Hills was rocked with the news that Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were playing dominoes of a night. Other stars playing dots to dots included Sharon Stone, Salma Hayek and pop star Gwen Stefani.

Beyonce Knowles plays Guess Who source, Kanye West Loves a game of Connect Four (source) and Natalie Portman plays Pictionary (source).

The list goes on. It’s as if each of the Hollywood elite is vying to be duller than the next.

How this came to be, we cannot be certain, but the popularity of board games can be linked with the rise of rehab, and celebrities have found something other than their drugs histories to talk about…

    I thought her grandad had disinherited her already because of her ridiculous waste-of-space lifestyle….? the boyfriend should watch out - she can maybe play Monopoly but I think Monogamy might be beyond Miss Hilton…
