Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat, Maddy 129 And 2006 Revisited
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MIRROR front page: “MADDY POLICE TO QUIZ MURAT AGAIN – He ‘has not been ruled out’
Page 7: “NOT WORRIED – Madeleine suspect shrugs off new police grilling.” Says Murat’s lawyer Francisco Pagarete: “He’s happy to co-operate with any further questions police may have”
DAILY MAIL front page: “MADDIE – First suspect will be quizzed again”
Hernanio Carvalho has written a book. Called Maddy 129, it covers the 129 days from May 3, (when Madeleine disappeared) to September 9 when Kate and Gerry McCann were named as official suspects
Says Carvalho: “What we want is to place doubts. Why do the couple’s friends’ statements and their own not tally? Why is it that the times which they say they went to check on their children in the apartment, when they say they were in the restaurant, do not coincide”
Senor Carvalho asks the questions. Look out for his next books – Maddy 150; Maddy 180; Maddy 200 etc. - in which he asks some more questions
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – POLICE TO TURN HEAT ON MURAT. ‘His story doesn’t add up’”
Police chief Paul Rebelo thinks there are inconsistencies in Murat’s story
Says Tuck Price, Murat’s friend: “Robert hasn’t heard anything from the police. He wants this cleared up. He’s in limbo”
“I saw stranger lurking near Madeleine flat” – An unnamed nanny tells police she saw a man “lurking” close to the McCanns’ holiday flat. Her initials are MH. In the summer of 2006, she was babysitting a six-year-old boy in the same apartment used by the McCanns in 2007. She “discovered the suspicious man lurking in bushes”. It was a Thursday. Madeleine disappeared on a Thursday. The Express says there are “marked similarities to the Madeleine case”
DAILY STAR front page: “I SAW MAN WHO TOOK MADDIE – Nanny tells of fiends in bushes”
Page 7: “NANNY: I CAUGHT A PROWLER OUTSIDE MADDIE HOL HOME”
The nanny has not been questioned by police. The McCanns’ private detectives call it a “solid lead”
“Cop blunders exposed” – Those “Bungling” Portuguese police again. Says source: “The crime scene was not duly isolated. It’s mess – chaotic”
THE SUN front page: “Murat ‘grilled again’
Page 15: “I SAW LURKER. Nanny tells of man in bushes outside Maddie flat”
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 11: “Madeleine police go back to first suspect”
Robert Murat is to be interviewed for a third time. Paulo Rebelo wants to go over all evidence gathered so far. Robert Murat lives with his mum
THE GUARDIAN, THE INDEPENDENT and THE TIMES: No Madeleine news

13…matty
Did you find that link you were looking for?

14 Teddy Boy
Your statement about American women having fat arses is BS. Have you looked around your overly-obese country lately? Someone wrote not long ago Portuguese women are fat and that isn’t true either. Maybe the older ones, but surely not the young.

WOW! Teddy Boy, did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning??? Some very strong words there, friend. You must surely be jealous of Americans.

Hey, here’s the way to find Maddy! Just write her a letter…
Let’s say, addressed:
Madeleine McCann - cute little blonde girl
Somewhere in Europe or maybe Africa, or maybe dead, or something
Let the Royal Mail sort it out!

I’m trying to wean myself off anorak too. So depressing to hear all the pro McCann stuff. So depressing that the McCanns are free for another day.
October 31st, 2007 at 8:55 am
dear anorak - is there a problem - posts not showing for over 20 mins - or have you a problem with my blatant anti spelling comment?
October 31st, 2007 at 8:55 am
Sad
October 31st, 2007 at 8:56 am
Oh that’s weird, I just posted when 26 messages were showing and mine turned up as 11!
Not intentional; I wouldn’t know how to do that if I tried.
October 31st, 2007 at 8:56 am
To be number 2 and 3
October 31st, 2007 at 8:56 am
Will- I think it’s your mention of the E word, big brothers watching, my whole system shut down, then no spam guard, had to get my poor student son out of bed to sort it.
E word- not interception of private communications du du duuuuu!!!!

October 31st, 2007 at 8:59 am
I posted this on the old loop so am reposting to save re-typing!
How very exciting to hear a word being spelled. And correctly. But it doesn’t show me the spam word so I guess my PC must try harder!
A little dickie-bird I know who is in the know told me that there is new evidence against Murat but because the order of ‘no more leaks’ is being rigidly enforced by the PJ under threat of sacking no-one is saying what it is.
Yes I know, it could easily be just another rumour; same as 95% of the stuff swirling around about the McCanns is just rumour. But without rumour this forum would not exist!

Got it. Posts just taking longer to appear. That’s my lot for now. The world awaits…
