Nicole Richie On Her Baby Diet
NICOLE Richie tells People magazine: “I eat really bland [food] – chicken noodle soup, vegetables, fish.
“I had to cut out milk, no tomatoes, no lettuce. You think you have to cut everything out when you’re pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you’re breastfeeding.”
And then you have to diet and get your body in shape for another baby, and on it goes…

Strange comment - what do you mean? Eton is a highly competitive public school, right at the top of the league tables. Has some of the most brilliant youngsters in the country. Don’t think there are many retarded children there who have fetal alcohol syndrome.

As a mother of three healthy adult kids that were all breastfed, I ate anything I felt like.
What a load of rubbish for magazines to publish incorrect facts. I am a Midwife and Lactation Consultant and do know there can be a small link to colic if the mother eats loads of dairy and the baby is sensitive, but apart from that even malnourished women in Ethiopia can breastfeed.
HOHUM what role models do we follow, what about Angelina Jolie, Elle McPherson, Gwen Stefani etc all breastfed their little ones.

When it comes to getting into Eton - Fetal Alchohol Syndrome would be an advantage.

She’s cute, and the People magazine cover is adorable.

Actually ladies I think she’s referring to cutting out cocaine and Paris Hilton (open all hours) when you breastfeed.

As a mother of 6 children, I would like to say that whilst feeding my babies, I certainly ate and drank whatever I fancied! I had many spicey, hot meals, and I drank gallons of red wine! All my children have won scholarshios to top public schools, including Eton and Fram!

I am a NCT lecturer, and I would like to say to all new mothers, believe in yourself; listen to people, but make your own mind up! If breastfeeding, well done to you! Eat, drink whatever you like and remeber, you are doing the best for your baby!

Please trust me, as a mother, professional and health care lecturer, eat and drink whatever you like whilst breastfeeding! Truly, even if you embark on a stavation diet, your body will not fail you or your child! Mother nature will always prevail!

Gosh, if you believe half you read you would not breastfeed! I ate whatever whilst breastfeeding my son, whilst enjoying several glasses of wine every night! James has recently won a scholarship at a top public school!!!

Similarly, I also ate and drank whatever I liked whilst breastfeeding! All women are capable of breastfeeding their infant, if people would stop commenting on what mothers should eat and drink!

As a qualified health care professional, let me reassure you mothers that you may eat and drink whatever you like whilst breastfeeding; for sure your body filters the crap and delivers the good! Enjoy the spice and alcohol, and remember, you are doing the best for your child!

Of course you do not have to abstain whilst breastfeeding; indeed, eat and drink what you like! Such nonsense only serves to make women bottle feed! Trust me, I have fed 3 children whilst eating spicey, hot food, washed down by wine! My children excel at school and excel socially!
