Tom Crusie’s Scientologists Beat The Atheists

Tom Crusies Scientologists Beat The AtheistsIN Touch magazine reports that all is not well with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and she plans to leave Los Angles for Manhattan with the couple’s daughter Suri.

In “Katie wants her life back”, an “insider” tells the magazine: “Of course Katie still loves him (Tom), but she does often feel like the little wife that has to sit there quietly and smile serenely at everything he says.”

On a happier note, Tom’s Scientologists are No.1, edging out atheists as the religious group America feels least positive about.

Yes, that’s right – Scientology is a bona fide religion. Happy days, indeed. Pass the dummy…

Only the Americans would class atheism as a ‘religious belief’. I see the nihilists failed to trouble the scorers again. ;)

  3. Karen Says:

I bet Tom told Katie to say that.

I belive that Constable Dorfl does as well….

  6. Ben Says:

Atheism is not a religious belief , it is a movement that does nothing but seeks a attention by defing the God we all Americans believe in. As far as Scientology it is nor a real religion , it a theraputical gathering that have no spritual value at all. You might as well go to see a psychiatrist……

I hope you feel better soon.

  10. Mic Says:

    Hi Ben,

So all Americans believe in the same God do they?

Would you care to back up that claim with any statistics, or would you rather scuttle off into obscurity having said your piece?

  11. Mic Says:

Yampster, to quote Dick Emery “Oooh! you are awful….”

Have a stick of Beelezebubblegum, you deserve it.

  12. yampster Says:

Thanks, I’ll swap you for one of my giant god-stoppers

  13. Gloria Smudd Says:

    I’d offer a contribution if I wasn’t such a humbug.

  14. Mic Says:

    Oh, you are sweet.

  15. Gloria Smudd Says:

    Like a sherbet lemon? Or a lemon-sour?

  16. Aaron Says:

It’s OK to be an Atheist… It’s OK

  17. penster Says:

Thanks Gloria but they get stuck in my Adam’s apple.

Ben, run that by us again son.
Atheism doens’t defy god, it simply doesn’t believe that there is one. Perhaps you meant deny.

Don’t expect a response Mic, he’s prob either invading a country or preparing for the Sabbath.

  18. Mic Says:

I didn’t realy expect a response Penster. there must be dozens of ‘Bens’ knocking about, who spot a chance to comment on something that annoys them, then bugger off, never to be seen again.

Shame really, it would be interesting to try getting a rational argument out of some of them.

But then again…a rational argumnet from the zealous American Christian right wing? Maybe not.

  19. noseycow Says:

Mic - you could try Cheryl on the MM thread..

  20. Mic Says:

    Hi Nosey.

I tried getting a sensible follow-up to Cheryl’s famous ‘heads up asses’ speech yeserday, but to no avail. She ‘did a Ben’ ; posted and then knobbed off to smirk at the replies without having to justify her remarks.

To be fair to her, although she loses it sometimes, she is obviously passionate about what she says and thinks. “Nowt wrang wi’ that!”, as they says round here. There are others who take the opposite view on the MM case who are equally passionate about their point of view.

I’d rather put up with a single-minded entertaining rant every now and again, than have someone edit my post, as happened yesterday!

  21. dairy Says:

wow, I see that Atheists and Scientologists are viewed even more negatively in the US than Muslims - just think how people would panic if they thought the non-believer aliens were on the way… mind you, where would they send the troops…?
