The handgrenades used in the terrorist attacks on Mumbai are said to be counterfeit, and Rheinmetall AG, who are the owners of the grenade trademark, are pretty seriously pissed off about the way in which their exceedingly excellent weapons are being copied without them getting a slice of the cake.

    Oliver Hoffmann, their spokesman said:

“We will take the necessary measures to prevent a further misuse of the company name and infringements on protected trademarks,”

And quite right too; terrorists slaughtering innocent bystanders is one thing but abusing intellectual property rights is the sin that really matters...

what about their cologne? a market job?

Seriously its a moot point, German engineering is something else and I'm sure their grenades would have taken more out (my dad would agree with that, having spent nanomoments in a tank with one)

Certainly raises a moral point or two

I'm told that if you want really good precision engineering, you need those very peaceable people, the Swiss...
