AGW, they showed just a partial list of the drugs on the news tonight that it is alleged he has been taking (tranqs, pain pills, uppers, downers, and 'in betweeners'). Every drug listed is highly addictive. Whatever doctor(s) or others were responsible for prescribing or supplying those drugs for him over many years should be locked up and the key thrown away.

and a limit to what can be released, but the doctor doesn't seem to be on criminal charges, but the ME needed to know what drugs had been administered.Hopefully the doctor had a lot more control over what was prescribed and used by Michael Jackson, rather than MJ resorting to illegal use of drugs, which if he did would show up in the tox tests.

If you re-read that BBC piece the statement actually says the man was not assaulted or otherwise beaten to death. Foul play in the UK sense i.e. done to death by accidental/deliberate overdose which may be manslaughter has not been ruled out until the laboratory reports are back.
Jackson's State Funeral in kind will not held up.
It looks like the family are to be given chance to fit the jig-saw pieces back together later today.

As of the news on at this time, the 'kind' doctor has still not appeared. With that partial list alone of the assortment of addictive drugs that kept Michael Jackson going daily, no way some doctor or doctors are going to get out this mess scotfree.
A Doctor over in Maryland was given life with parole after so many years served for over-prescribing drugs for years to a multitude of patients, two of whom died and the rest addicted.

They just interviewed live on TV a Doctor who runs a rehab center that Michael Jackson went into after that 'infamous' trial. He said he was shocked at the drugs that Michael Jackson was on that were legally prescribed for him. He said that there are 'many Hollywood Doctors' who are no more than licensed drug pushers who keep the famous on drugs of their choice. Said at the appropriate time he will give their names to the authorities.

So would it be better if people who wanted a high level of drugs got them from dealers, and doctors refused to prescribe for anything other than acutely needed medicines? This would then save the NHS loads of money rehabilitating drug users with clean needles and free substitute drugs.
It may be misguided of me , but surely its better a doctor who does have drug knowledge prescribes than taking potluck, our bodies do get used to a lot of things we consume, and the dose can be altered. But its fairly obvious to all but drug users that drugs do kill eventually.

June, it is a money-making proposition for many doctors to keep their patients 'happy', imo. Most doctors now will give you only one month of a narcotic of any type and no refills on the prescription. You want a refill then back to the doctor, pay an office visit price anywhere from a hundred dollars up, get the refill, etc. Now, if one has a health insurance plan that pays for the office visit and prescriptions the health insurance company will put a stop to the refills for narcotic drugs and refuse to pay. Then one has to pay for their office visit and very expensive habit out of their own pocket.
Many people claim that doctors get kick backs from pharmaceutical companies for prescribing their brand of the drug they manufacture. That is illegal, of course, but certainly wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Pharmaceutical companies know - wonder how - when you are prescribed one of their medicines they manufacture. I found that out when I received a letter from a pharmaceutical company that makes a medication that I have to take daily and have been for years. But when I lost my health insurance and found out the exhorbitant price that medication was (not a narcotic), that my insurance company had been paying for for years, I have started skipping it and refilling it every other month. I got that letter from the pharmaceutical company who manufactures it telling me to refill my prescription monthly. Sure they are losing hundreds a month on me.

However some of the blame must lie at the person who is consuming the drugs door.

Many people still considered him ( Michael Jackson )as a big child when he was alive, even though he was 50 years old.
He was far from being a child, just because lots of adults in this world missed out on their childhood, many adults like childish things, gadgets, toys ect, BUT they do not engage in having young small children sharing their bed with them.
Its disgusting and perverted and anyone who agrees with it is just as perverted.
To put it plain and simple, Grown 50 year old men do not have small children sharing their bed.
I think the problem is that most people see the Michael Jackson of the 70s and 80s and do not see or realise that he was a 50 year old man, they continue to see a peter pan of pop instead of a grown up male who is probably old enough to be their grandad never mind a father.
This probably arises from the fact that he nearly always wore masks in public, out shopping or giving interviews.
Nobody on the planet could visualise a 50 YEAR OLD BALD MICHAEL JACKSON WEARING A WIG, with a PLASTIC NOSE, PLASTIC CHIN and who knows what else.
A person who chose to live in an oxygen tent for a while, a person who wanted to be a white man having his skin bleached, a person who had injection marks all over his body, a person who wanted his face shaping like Diana Ross.
This was a boy who had everything, who grew into a man and tried to stop time and live in the past.
What he didn’t own, he bought, including people and children but it couldn’t save him from self destruction.
The pictures he had hung in his home were of partly clothed children, a lot nearly naked pictures.
This is a sad sad story of a superstar whom in my opinion abused small children for years without responsible adults knowing or realising what really lay behind the mask of Michael Jackson.
The neverland theme park was just a way of enticing children into his clutches, it is like enticing them with sweets but on a grander scale.

No doubt that Michael Jackson was a really good dancer and singer but he was only second to Elvis.
Michael Jackson was in a pathetic state at the end and there is no way he could have done 50 gigs.
He hadn’t been on stage for years and years and although his mind may have been trying to recapture his youth, he was still a fifty year old man with a bald head wearing a wig and sunglasses.
His body as we all know was like a skeleton and full of puncture marks from the daily injections.
He was over 45 years old and still sleeping with boys and girls from the age of five upwards and somehow no matter what excuses people find for that, its just not normal behaviour for a man around 45 years of age.
I have 4 children and one is aged 5 and one is aged 6 and there is no way I would allow them to sleep in the same bed as a 45 year old man, even if it was Michael Jackson.
He may have used the excuse that he thought and acted like a child but most normal parents, mothers especially know that a 40+ year old male in bed with young children is just not acceptable, especially when they are looking at porn magazines.
Semen stains were found on the bed clothes and on jacksons clothes and he is quoted as saying that it was just normal childrens behaviour, maybe it is, but not when they are sharing the same bed as a 40+ year old man, and thats what Michael Jackson was, he wasn’t a boy he was a 40+ year old man.
The big question is would any of you reading this allow your youngest children to sleep in the same bed as a strange 45 year old man, I would assume you would say no, ….sharing the same bed with Michael jackson is exactly the same thing.
It is NOT NORMAL and you must realise that.
It didn’t surprise me that he got away with it because O J Simpson got away with murder, Money and top lawyers can get most people off with things.
In my opinion Michael Jackson did at some times molest and touch children up, both girls and boys and I think he would have treated it as a joke with them to gain their confidence.
In my opinion he touched and played with their most private parts and used his money, power, neverland ranch to entice them to stay and do what he wanted.
When the first child reported the incident Michael Jackson paid around 18 million dollars to try and keep it out of court. From that time he was doomed, he became a recluse, wore masks, had his children wear masks and went on a downward trend that he was never able to recover from.
In my opinion he was the worst kind of paedophile, he could openly have the children stay with him in his bed, sleep with him and then treat them to what they wanted.
Children are gullible and as long as they are having a good time, they know no difference.
Michael Jasckson had the money to also buy people off.
He almost certainly abused these children in bed whilst they were lay next to him, and to turn himself on he would browse the porn mags.
He thought he was immune to anyone finding out or from being prosecuted, thats what I mean by the worst kind of paedophile.
People think of him still as a small boy, he wasn’t, he was an aging bald headed 50 year old man who got aroused by being around and sleeping with CHILDREN aged 5 and upwards.

Great Singer, Great Mover, Great Dancer, but thats it, at the end of the day it will still be embedded in history that this MAN paid 18 million dollars to escape prosection for kiddy fiddling.

Sheila M. It doesn't really matter what you think he did. Michael Jackson was found not guilty. That meant in the eyes of the law (and his peers) he was judged not do the very things you say he did.
What is fact is, he's as dead as Monty Python's parrot and will not be a potential danger to anyone...
That is, as long as the family recognise the health risks and stop trundling his lifeless and organ-stripped, empty and bald corpse around California and actually get around to planting or burning it.

yes AGW I agree O J was also cleared as well by his peers.,
Theres also talk now about putting his body or whats left of it, on public show at the netherland ranch, they will of course have to take strict security measures in case of fire because so much plastic can give off toxic fumes.
There is talk about a (Michael Jackson Day) Public holiday.
At least all the kids can have a day off school in safety.

Michael Jacksons body will go on public view at his Neverland ranch, it has been reported today.
Although the family are yet to confirm any more details of the 50-year-old’s funeral, some reports suggest that the family may charge members of the general public to view his body at a cost of around $15 (US) per adult and $5 (US) per child.
Children under the age of 6 will be admitted free.The viewing will take place on Friday and it will not be possible to get any tickets in advance.
His body will be taken to the ranch about 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles soon.
A private funeral will be held on Sunday and will be reserved for special guests.
Turnstiles may be installed allowing viewers to filter through and past his body which will be encased in a glass coffin mounted in a white coach.
Souvenirs such as keyrings, posters, hats etc will be on sale.
High security measures will be in place around the ranch and highways leading into the complex.
