Yahoo's Geocities closes today. It was all very exciting at the time but in a way I'm glad it's gone. I look at the family albums I set up and the school reunion stuff now and it all seems so primitive (that's because it was). There are much better ways of putting your stuff on the interweb without all that tedious maintenance but once it was up there Granny wouldn't let you take it down. Thank you Yahoo for doing it for me. I have had emails from old school chums asking me for copies of the class site that I set up even though it hasn't been looked at for 5 years. It's gone. Gone the same way as the plans for the big reunion went. Luckily.
