    Hi Jim,
Well, it was good to see your name on the site.Where have you been these last few weeks? So how's life Jim? Too much money I suppose and its not true Jim that you've been secretly dating Heather Mills of the one-legged fame(and she was keeping you busy?)
What's your opinion of the NEW Anorak site? I would be interested too in your personal thoughts about Britain and how youi see the country today in terms of its problems etc.

Things are good here in Brazil. Hot every day and I think the England football team will play Brazil in their first full international at the new Wembley stadium on June 1st.
Should be a competitive game and great to watch.

Well, Jim,drop a line when you land in your private jet on the next tropical island,

    Cheers,

    JOHN BLAKE

John I hate to disabuse you of my affluence but I'm just a regular office-monkey over here! (OK admittedly one of the better paid ones!)

Just dealing with PICNIC support calls on a daily basis... (Problem In Chair Not In Computer) whilst dealing with helping to organise testing of software updates... sounds boring to most I guess but it keeps me in beer and skittles and I secretly rather enjoy the cut-and-thrust!

Just to give this posting a bit of "girly interest" (I shall await June's retorts/response with interest) I am gradually coming to terms with my partner living-in since last October after 17 years of individual homes...

It has its good points and its bad, but the bad ones are easier to ignore compared to the good of not having the grief of having to drive to her place and keeping a subset of my gear at hers to save having to come home before leaving for work... I have coined a phrase of "every day's an adventure" cos stuff that has remained in the same cupboard for the last 30 years has now been relocated and does not necessarily have a final resting place! Also it's quite funny to see the neighbours do a double-take when they see actual FLOWERS in the lawn borders rather than just soil!

I suppose I had to shed my anti-commitment armour eventually and having done so it feels rather liberating!

17 Years before letting her move in.

Certainly can't accuse you of being impetuous!

well the reply from June is this: 30 years of hoarding is childsplay, we are threatening to chuck a lit match in the garage, all that is slowing my hand is that I have some wine stored in there which is ready for drinking......

17 years though,at least romance doesn't dull your pace!
