   "Dad Wayne Kelly has three sons at the school, aged six, eight and ten.

   Mr Kelly, of Westwood Street, Accrington, said Mr Upton is his son's year group teacher.

   He said: "He has had this teacher for three years. All of a sudden he is going to be coming to school after Christmas as a woman.

   "They are too young to be dealing with that.""

   More like some parents aren't comfortable with it so they're making excuses. I'll bet the kids don't care either way.

   I've just seen this link in the comments - I didn't realise Littlejohn had written about her.

   If she took her own life, it's such a shame because there are obviously many people who supported her going back to school.
