   We're thawing out a bit now. The sun has popped out a few times and it's a bit warmer than it's been for a while.

   We get snow but not usually that much. In the stories I've read about motorists being stuck on the M6, it says we had about a foot of snow in a very short period of time.

   On our council's winter FB page, general opinion is that we haven't had that much snow since the 70s.

   Karen...we also had bucket loads of snow on Friday night...so much so that that I went skiing on saturday morning in sunny Salford. Sadly it turned to slush by sunday..and now...like a rhinestone cowboy...it got all washed away like the snow & the rain.
   p.s. took my friend..Dangerous Dave....four hours to drive from Salford to Bolton in friday nights blizzard...it was so heavy I'm glad I stuck to skis.
