   So what now?

   I saw this story earlier today and, without searching because I didn't really want to know, I've seen which website it was on and the picture (now taken down from the website apparently) on someone's FB status.

   I just don't really see what it will achieve.

   More unnecessary expense, and probably some cosmetic surgery too.
   I hope the authorities fine and jail whoever 'unmasked' him

   It is interesting that people can hold hate within them for 17 years against those two who committed a horrible act when just 10 year old children. In fact, when going back and reading all the news stories from back then, the adults in the public acted like crazed animals throwing bottles at, pounding the vehicle and yelling for their deaths when surrounding the vehicle the two young children were being transported in to Court.

   Doesn't say much about the caliber of many people that those children, once grown, had to be given new ID's just to keep them alive once they were released. Now, John Venables' life is in danger once again.

   To be honest Cheryl, its not hatred I feel for those two, but total indifference. The mental wellbeing of mother of the child killed has been completely overlooked, the child hardly ever gets a mention. In fact the indifference to her is saying a lot about the calibre of Justice, she shouldn't have to say and do what she does, it should have been addressed back in the 90's when her boy was killed

   But its mainly the expense needed to protect these two, and Venables does have his life unlike James Bulger.

   I just hope they throw the book at the idiot who released all the information, not to protect Venables but to protect the public purse whilst it continues to protect Venables
