Rio Ferdinand’s Alleged Women: Manchester United’s Player’s First XI In Photos

RIO Ferdinand, the Manchester United and England star – a married father of three (Lorenz, Tate and Tia) – has “11 SEXY BABES”. The Daily Star has news on its front page of Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney’s teammate. The paper labels him a “LOVE CHEAT”.

We learn:

Rio Ferdinand’s serial cheating was laid bare yesterday when 10 alleged conquests were named in court. Rio Ferdinand’s list of shame, which includes four models and a stripper, was revealed at the High Court during the Manchester United star’s privacy trial.

Only four models? And, no, not at once on a water bed?! Former Manchester United great George Best might have wept.

The Huffington Post UK: Yankee Go Home – And Take Me With You

THE Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington’s eponymous project, has launched in the UK. Will it work? It’s owned by AOL – so big corporate money is backing it. And it doesn’t pay all of its writers. Here’s what the experts say:

The Guardian’s Jemima Kiss:

Ultimately, at a time when news organisations are remodelling themselves as digital first – and the Guardian particularly – it will be the HuffPo’s business model and how it adapts to the UK market that is of most interest. Revenues have been modest but in the black since last year – to an estimated $60m this year. If there’s anything to be learned from the UK HuffPO, it will be the bottom line that’s the bottom line.

Kiss might soon be giving masterclasses in irony. As reported in the (free) London Evening Standard:

Savings are essential as the papers [Observer and Guardian] lost a similar sum in the year to March as they did 12 months earlier, falling £33 million into the red “in cash terms”.

Crested Black Macaque Monkey Named As News Of The World Editor

WHEN wildlife photographer David Slater left his camera on a trip to North Sulawesi, Indonesia, one of a group of crested black macaque monkeys took this self-portrait. Says David:

“One of them must have accidentally knocked the camera and set it off because the sound caused a bit of a frenzy. At first there was a lot of grimmacing with their teeth because it was probably the first time they had ever seen a reflection. The sound got his attention and he kept pressing it. At first it scared the rest of them away but they soon came back – it was amazing to watch.”

Phone Hacking: The Police And Media Are Symbiotic – It’s The State You Should Fear

PHONE Hacking: IT remains an utter disgrace the hacks and hackettes in charge of The News of the World are not putting their hands up to the crimes they have committed. Tapping telephones and bribing policemen, who ever heard the like?

It is a disgrace:
The News of World has carried out these heinous acts under a banner of the non-existent Right to Reveal and Tell All and the Right of the Fourth Estate to terrorise it’s own readers.

It is a disgrace:
photographs are still staged as news events by ambitious and greedy Freelance cameramen anxious to get the exclusive shot which does not exist until it is faked. Sweets in rubbish tips are always good for getting starving urchins (from whatever part of the world) seemly frantically digging through muck heaps for food.

Marilyn Monroe Was A Skinny Half-Person: Data Reveals Truth (Photos)

HOW voluptuous was film star Marilyn Monroe? Ok, ok! In keeping with the curent tend for the world “curves” – how big were Monroe’s curves?

Virginia Postrel knows. The answer is: not very.

We should never again hear anyone declare that Marilyn Monroe was a size 12, a size 14 or any other stand-in for full-figured, zaftig or plump. Fifteen thousand people have now seen dramatic evidence to the contrary. Monroe was, in fact, teeny-tiny. The 15,000 were the visitors who turned out over eight days to oooh and aaah at the preview exhibit for the June 18 auction of Debbie Reynolds’s extraordinary collection of Hollywood costumes, props and other memorabilia.

The two comments heard most often in the crowded galleries were (to paraphrase), “Wow, they were thin” and “It’s such a shame. These things should be in a museum.”

Mac McClelland’s Haiti Rape Becomes A Satire

WHEN she was in Haiti to report on life after the earthquake, Mother Jones writer Mac McClelland spent time with Sybille, a woman who alleged she’d been raped.

The alleged victim and the journalist went to the hospital. McClellend alleges that the surgeon who performed reconstructive surgery on the woman told her she was a slut and had had it coming. Back in the car, Sybille saw one of the men who had, allegedly, raped her. Sybille went into “a full paroxysm – wailing and flailing in terror, screaming with her eyes rolling in abject terror”. This was McClellenad’s first day in Haiti. She wrote, reporting for Good:

Last September, the first time I went to Haiti, I spent my first day out accompanying a rape victim we’ll call Sybille to the hospital. The way her five attackers had maimed her in addition to sexually violating her was unspeakable. The way the surgeon who was going to try to reconstruct the damage yelled at her, telling her she’d got what was coming to her because she was a slut, was unconscionable. And the way Sybille went into a full paroxysm when we were on the way back to the post-quake tarp city she lived in was the worst thing I ever saw in my life. We were sitting in traffic and saw one of her rapists, and she started just SCREEEAMING a few inches away from my face, her eyes wide and rolling in abject terror.

Will Rebekah Brooks Apply The Same Standards She Demanded Of Sharon Shoesmith To Herself?

THE matter of Rebekah Brooks, chief executive of News International’s UK ops, and what as editor of The News of the World in 2002 she may or may not, or ought to, have known about the Milly Dowler phone hacking outrage, bears an uncanny resemblance to the matter of former Haringey boss Sharon Shoesmith and what she knew or ought to have known about Baby P.

Brooks, nee Wade as editor of The Sun in 2007, was merciless in her persecution of Shoesmith, holding her to account because she was a highly paid executive presiding over a tax-funded, dysfunctional children’s service. Personal knowledge was an irrelevance. In a fateful twist that involves a child-victim, Brooks now finds herself in a not dissimilar situation, trying to save herself by making a virtue of her ignorance when she presided over what was plainly a dysfunctional newspaper.

Gwyneth Paltrow Says Marriage ‘Isn’t Perfect’ While Pointing At Stupid Chris Martin

SURPRISE! Being married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin isn’t all its cracked up to be! For starters, just imagine him walking around the house singing to himself. You’d either cut your ears off with pinking shears or take a screwdriver to this throat.

Of course, it isn’t that one-sided. Imagine the horror of having to deal with Gwyneth Paltrow crying every time she accepts absolutely anything from anyone, welling up and preparing teary speeches when offered a brew or whatever.

And so, it isn’t a surprise that Gwyneth says her marriage to Chris Martin isn’t as wonderful as wonderful can be, saying “it’s not perfect”.

Murdoch’s News Of The World ‘Hacked’ Milly Dowler’s Phone: Rebecca Brooks Starts Planning For Maternity Leave?

THE allegation is that Glenn Mulcaire, an investigator working for the News of the World allegedly, hacked into the mobile phone of Milly Dowler, the girl murdered by Levi Bellfield.

It is said that while the hunt for Milly was on, Mulcaire intercepted messages left by relatives and that some of these message were deleted when the message box became full. It is alleged that this made room for new messages.

So. One day a caller might have been told Milly’s message box was full. The next day they would have been allowed to leave a message.

HATS off to Guardian columnist (well, she writes online at Comment Is Free) Kia Abdullah for forming an award opinion that readers can sink their chops into and tackle about in the comments sections and on Twitter. Abdullah says she “smiled” when she learnt that students Max Boomgaarden-Cook, 20, Bruno Melling-Firth and Conrad Quashie, both 19, had died in a coach crash in Thailand last Tuesday. She Tweeted:

“Is it really awful that I don’t feel any sympathy for anyone killed on a gap year? I actually smiled when I saw that they had double-barrelled surnames. Sociopath?”

Prince William And Kate Thrash The French At Cooking: Quebec Resistance Routed Over Crispy Duck (Photos)

MORE Canada action from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they took part in a cooking adventure at the Institut De Tourisme et D’hotellerie Du Quebec in Montreal. The plot was clear: the French speakers would get the roast beefs in the kitchen and laugh at their chips and curry sauce.

But Prince William was ready. Summing the spirit of General James Wolfe, Williams conjured a cranberry-crusted lamb and croustillant a l’effiloche de canard confit. The coup de grace was the lobster soufflé. Take that Frenchie! Take that and your failed attempts at a global empire on which the sun never set. You might have an aircraft carrier, but we’ve captured your souffle (mais oui, we have done away with the accent) and crispy duck surprise.

David Haye v Wladimir Klitschko- The Fight In Photos

DAVID Haye v Wladimir Klitschko in photos: Haye has achieved anything in the build up to the bout, it is to have made boxing more interesting to the masses. Haye can be crass, doltish, gratuitous, childish and plain rude. But in the build up to the fight, he gives good copy.

But do British people want him to win? This is the man who released an app called David Haye’s Knockout, a phone game in which a Haye-type cartoon decapitates a man who look snot unlike Klitschko. Klitschko has yet to produce his own app. But if he does it might be one in which a figure that looks a lot like a dozy Haye is asked quiz questions he struggles to answer – questions like: What’s your name? How many fingers am I holding up?  Would you like a doctor?

Do you want him to win?

Having impounded his bride’s passport and headed her off at Nice airport – why the Olympic swimming champion didn’t head for the waves instead of the road we may never know – she was ready for the religious do the Place du Palais, Monte Carlo. For the occasion, screamingly heterosexual Albert dressed as Elton John impersonating Richard Gere’s Officer And A Gentleman on a ride down Old Compton Street on Mr Whippy’s ice-cream float. Note: The British royal family were represented by Albert’s British stunt double Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Why Sheikh Raed Salah (‘The Gandhi Of Palestine’) Was Arrested In The UK And Deported Back To Israel

THE Guardian’s editorial defends Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Islamic Movement in Israel . The British Government is deporting him because his presence in the country was not “conducive to the public good“. On June 28, Salah was arrested by the UK Border Agency on 28th June. He has been served with a deportation order under Section 3 of the Immigration Act.

How did he get into the UK in the first place?

The British Home Office last week issued an order banning Salah from the country. Haaretz has learned that the reason Salah may have been able to enter the country despite the ban was because of a misunderstanding. Although he is known in Israel and throughout the world as Raed Salah, official documents, including his Israeli passport, bear the name Raed Mahajna, and this may have been overlooked at passport control at the airport.

“A full investigation is now taking place into how he was able to enter,” Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May said yesterday in a statement to Al Jazeera. “I can confirm he was excluded and that he managed to enter the UK. He has now been detained and the UK border agency is now making arrangements to remove him.”

Salah’s arrest came after British newspapers questioned his presence in the country. The Daily Mail called Salah’s entry a “joke” and reported that he “strolled through border checks which were supposed to identify that he was on a list of banned fanatics.” A blog in the Daily Telegraph was headlined, “They’ll let anyone in: anti-Semitic preacher Ra’ad Salah is in London despite being banned.”

Daily Express Does PR For Mohammed Al Fayed’s Princess Diana Murder Film

PRINCESS Diana is dead. Were she alive (rolls eyes up towards twitching curtains on the fabled Six Floor of the Harvey Nichol’s department story, London), she would be 50. Newsweek has heralded the event by turning Diana into a melange of sun-parched skin, Botox and Twitter twatishness.

An explosive new film which claims Princess Diana was murdered on the orders of the British Establishment has been banned in the UK, prompting allegations of a cover-up.
Unless the makers of Unlawful Killing cut 87 scenes from their hard-hitting documentary, it cannot legally be screened here.

It’s Keith AThe Express sticks with the conspiracy of her murder. The headline yells:

“PRINCESS DIANA DEATH FILM COVER-UP”

Prince William And Kate Mark Canada Day In Ottawa: Photos To Make Americans Weep

THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for Canada Day celebrations on the second day of their visit to the Commonwealth country. Canadians love the Royal family. The Canadians, in their French speaking bilingual country, love the Royals because the Americans don’t have a Royal family, they just have Paris Hilton and Burger King. Very soon the Canadians will move on from sticking Maple Flags on their backpacks and luggage – flags that scream, “Yup – I hate them Yankees Too” – and slap Royal Mail stamps to their foreheads and wear Kate & Wills teeth.

But Kate’s not anti-American. No sireee. After the mooseburgers have been digested, Kate and Wills are off to LA for some vegetables. And in a tribute to the Americans, she did include two ketchup-coated nachos on her Maple Leaf themed hat…

Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s Reputation Is Ruined By Oral Rape Allegation: Time To Name The Accuser

THE former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn is no longer under house arrest in his enormous Tribeca Townhouse with all mod-cons. The courts deemed that the woman accusing him of attempted rape at Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan might not be a truthful sort.

Originally, she claimed she was assaulted in suite 2806. She then made her way to the hallway on the 28th floor. She waited for Strauss-Kahn to leave. Now she says that after the alleged attack she “proceeded to clean a nearby room and then returned to suite 2806 and began to clean that suite before she reported the incident to her supervisor“.

So. She re-entered the room without his being there after the alleged rape? And she claims that he had badly hurt her shoulder.

Her lawyer says the cleaner “is not going to remain in hiding any more“. Well, good. She said a man tried to rape her. His freedom has been curtailed. He was made to do ther perp walk. He lost his job. We heard his name in the media. He was LE PERV. Let’s hear her name. Why should his name be made public and her name protected? It’s only fair both sides get the same treatment. Right?

ABC News cited the original criminal complaint filed by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.:

It charges that he forcibly touched the housekeeper’s breasts, attempted to pull off her panty hose, twice “forcibly made contact with his penis and the informant’s mouth” and that “the defendant engaged in oral sexual conduct and anal sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion.”

Liverpool Daughters Who Left Dead Grandma To Rot Are Jailed

HAZEL Maddock, 61, has been sentenced to 11 months jail for leaving her dead mother, Oliver Maddock, 95, unburied and rotting in the family home on Saltburn Road in Wallasey. She did it to continue to claim dear old mum’s benefits – it being what she would have wanted.

Aaron Carter Says That Michael Jackson ‘Gave Me Cocaine’

REMEMBER Aaron Carter? Of course you don’t. He’s a nobody. He’s a failure from Dancing With the Stars, the brother of a Backstreet Boy and once released a bunch of awful, awful cover versions in the hope of becoming a baby sensation like Justin Bieber.

These days, he’s just a thing with muscles that occupies perfectly good space.

That said, Carter was once in the affections of Michael Jackson, which is nice and innocent isn’t it?
