Hope Above Expectation For Madeleine McCann
“WE couldn’t get it out of our heads that she was likely to be dead and we were grieving,” says “heart consultant” Gerry McCann, father of missing girl Madeleine McCann. “But then the psychologist said, ‘Is there any other possibility?’ And we started to see that.”
“McCanns feared the worst,” says the Sun’s headline. News indeed for those among use who believed the McCanns would not be worried sick to discover their child was not in her bed.
Says “GP” Kate McCann: “I’ve felt guilty asking ‘Will this make or break my faith?’ But it’s done the opposite — it’s given us hope.”
Beneath and advert for an Alan Titchmarsh radio and another for a washing machine, the Express hears the McCanns speaking. Its front page announces: “MADELEINE: ‘WE BELIEVE SHE’S ALIVE.’”
Good that they do. Who cannot hope Madeleine McCann daughter is not found alive and well.
But it’s another day of no news. And we are, as ever, watching the parents…
And this from Gerry McCann’s blog:
Six weeks since Madeleine disappeared. We believe Madeleine is alive and I am glad to say that following yesterday’s letter in the Telegraaf (Netherlands) there has been no evidence that Madeliene is in the area indicated although there will be further searches tomorrow.Kate and I picked up a friend from Faro airport who has been instrumental in helping with the campaign. He has been fantastic, producing the DVD of Madeleine to ‘Don’t you forget about me?’ which has been shown at many sporting events and concerts as well as producing the look for maddie logo and various posters. We spent most of the day updating each other and discussing future campaign ideas.
We are getting closer to appointing a campaign manager who will handle media liaison and coordinating events to keep Madeleine?s disappearance highly visible.

It is very traumatic for the rest of the world to know so intimately about Jerry and Kate’s tragedy. It is easy to find hatred in our hearts for them instead of processing our own emotions. Children do go missing every day. Evil people do get together and carry out atrocious acts. It is up to the whole community to work together to protect children. The internet facilitates the connection between evil people. We are only at the beginning of working out how to limit their freedom. Why are these parents expected to take the full blame for the evil content of the world? Kate and Jerry can make the best of their pain by focusing on improving the ways in which children are protected. I wish them all the best and hope that they can find some peace in their lives.

Are you serious anonymous? Applaud Gerry & Kate for what exactly? Getting pissed while their 3 year old daughter was murdered or abducted from their apartment which they casually left unlocked!
They have money?? then why are they living off the charity of contributors at the minute & why did they not offer any of this “money” as a reward for the return of their daughter?
Every decision may involve risk but there are calculated risks & they sure took one when they left 3 babies alone in an unlocked apartment! A risk that did not pay off & a defenceless child suffered!
Get a life please, they are not brave people, they are criminally negligent at best & canny enough to wage a high profile media campaign that they think is fooling people, obviously they are succeeding with idiots like you!

Jerry and kate are in a unique position. They have the intelligence and the money to keep Madeleine’s disappearance in the media. They are raising awareness of child abductions and focusing attention on the activities of pedophile rings and illegal adoption groups. Whether they achieve the return of their daughter remains to be seen. If they achieve an improvement in the way pedophiles are hunted down, then all parents everywhere can thank them. Every single decision parents make with their children carries with it some risk. What we need is an international community that works hard to care for the younger generation and their future. I applaud Jerry and Kate and admire their bravery. Let’s turn Madeleine’s disappearance into a victory for all parents everywhere.

I have not posted because i saw no point to post no new news i watched fr posts that interested me and as not alot was posted i didnt reply.
As strawberry said you dont haveto read what we put its your right to ignore just like our right to speak (or post as in this case).
But anyway i am not going to go into a big argument over anything anymore if someone dosnt like my views thats ok and if i dont like thiers thats ok too, all i want is to see Madeliene home with her parents and i think thats all that all of us want so why bother arguing anymore.
Be safe Madeliene where ever you are i am sure we can all agree on that one.
If i have upset anyone with any of my last posts then i am sorry as i dont know you i have no intentions of hurting anyone the only person i would like to hurt is the person that took this child from her bed.

Thank God it’s Monday, and Tango, Strawberry, et al, will be back in school (hopefully learning how to string a sentence together, with occasional punctuation and correct spelling).
So sad that kids these days have nothing better to do than write corny little messages on these threads. Get a life you kids!
Reading their messages however was marginally better than wading through the toe-curling diatribes of Molly and cher. Hope those two have finished scratching each other’s eyes out on here. Presumably they’ve each found somebody else to bitch at on other forums. They certainly added nothing to the level of intellectual debate on this one. Good riddance!

its so sad for those baby brother and sister of madeleine my little brother is 2 and when his older brother isnt around fora few days he misses them so much and keeps asking for them.
Its so annoying why havnt they found her yet it must be so hard on the family where ever you are Maddy everyone loves you and hopes your safe.

They may think its safer now to take her out as she has been gone so long but it does sound like a bit of a chance, i hope it was her but it sounds abit stupid to take her out when she is still so known in the media. Then again someone may think its that stupid it may not be noticed by people.

i cant understand why no one has just gone up and looked at the child so if it isnt Madeleine then ok the child and parent are worried but if it is her then surely by going up to the child looking into her eyes your know and if you ask her if she is Madeleiene then you have her dont let her go. The person that is with her wont make a scene once you shout this is Madeleien McCann they will run.

With all the sightins of Madeleine why hasn’t any one got closer enough to see if its really her i’m shore some one can with out spook em them. I feel with so much media on Madeleine that the person that has her wouldn’t have her out where people could see her could they be that stupid? I only hope that one sighting or more turns to be Madeleine and she is brought home safe, I agree with you Tango why hasn’t Madeleine’s perant flown to Malta, weather it is or isn’t i know i would want to be as close as i cuold specially if it dose turn out that one of these sightings is Madeleine I’ll be there with open arms. I hope that one dose…. who ever has Madeleine please treat her wright dont hurt her she is a four year old child bring her home…..

just read the news on Madeliene think its good that so many believe they have seen her i really hope it is her and not just a look alike but although untill now i have not had anything against the McCanns i dont understand why with so many sightings why they havnt flown to Malta i would have been there in a shot. Although it may be a Hoax with so many possible sightings i would have to be close just in case.
I still have loads of sympathy for them but more i hope madeleine is safe with who ever has her and they return her soon.

well the sightings of Madeleine didn’t pan out but we shall not give up hope for one day you shall be found. I wish who ever has you Madeleine would let you come home to your family. I live in Australia and when i’m out shopping or doing my thing i will look for you… Take care be safe….

What a lovley little girl it is sad to see that she still isn’t found, but with the new sightings maybe there is hope after all. I hope that the people on this site would stop being so negative and get over them self and focus on Madeleine and all the other abused children out there. come on guys every little bit helps.
