Madeleine McCann, Toscano, Malta And Going Equipped

madeleine_mccann_parents.jpgTHE Express likes Antonio Toscano, the man who claims to know who kidnapped Madeleine McCann.

The paper hears Toscano say once again that he knows of “the Frenchman” who stole Madeleine. She was abducted to order by a gang of “wealthy paedophiles”.

But Madeleine has been seen in Malta, or at least a blonde girl has; the Express talks of three fresh sightings. Is it Madeleine? And if it is, do the criminals who seem to have taken her read the UK papers, or want to be caught?

But what should we do if we do see the missing child?

Gerry McCann tells us: “The clear advice is to call the local police as soon as possible, or someone working in an official capacity such as hotel staff or tour representative.”

He goes on: “Please note that the emergency police numbers are variable in each country and for those going on holiday it might be a good idea to enter the number in your mobile phone.”

Mr McCann, who the Express likes to remind its readers is a “cardiac consultant”, needs the world’s help.

We cannot help but feel for him. We want to read about his daughter being spotted and found alive and well. But people go on holiday to escape stress and grief. Only ghouls would go equipped with a Madeleine spotting kit.

Or someone after the massive reward.

Let Me Help

Which brings us back to Toscano. “I’m certain that Madeleine is still in Europe,” says he, “perhaps even still in Portugal, that’s she is alive and is being held by this man.” The Frenchman.

He goes on: “I intend to contact the McCanns and offer my help to the family and get this girl back”.

But Gerry McCann has already advised anyone with information to go to the police.

If Toscano was wanted wouldn’t the fraught and desperate McCanns seek him out? He’s not too hard to find.

What can be gained from him contacting them, aside from fame and the authority to help shift copies of any subsequent book…

Team McCann developing Non-Government Organisation Establishment technique?

  2. 2 Anonymous Says:

Are Tesco planning ‘buy a bag a spuds get a McCann book free’ or selling Madeleine spotters alongside factor 25?

  3. 3 liz Says:

mmm smacks of the reward money to me, ………

  4. 4 Anonymous Says:

liz, think of the interest accumulating, they can’t rush these things. The ‘worried’ expressions of course will yeild some more funds too from gullible punters.

have you tapped in all the local police stn numbers in your mobile yet?

  5. 5 liz Says:

secrecy laws anon, cant get passed the yellow pages.

  6. 6 Lynn Says:

You lot should be thouroughly ashamed of yourselves………making fun of other peoples suffering is disgraceful. You’d better just hope no tragedy even remotely similar becomes of you one day. What a disgrace you are.

  8. 8 pixie girl Says:

genuinely distressed and painfully thin. Shame on all of you.

  9. 9 Lynn Says:

What’s the point in asking these people Anorak as they quite obviously do not have any feeling for these people or for this poor little girl? And they call themselves human. Not a chance.

  10. 10 Lynn S Says:

Liz, you clearly are not a mother, but if you are I hope to God nothing like this ever happens to you

  11. 11 liz Says:

Lynn I am a mother and I am also not as gullible as you lot, face the facts for once, a lot more people are making sense over this abduction (????) what if turns out that they did have something to do with it, and yes that question arises again
WHY LEAVE MADELEINE ALONE IN THE FIRST PLACE

  12. 12 liz Says:

THATS WHY SHE LOOKS SO THIN AND DISTRESSED, GUILT DOES THAT TO YOU

  13. 13 Lynn Says:

Liz……do me a favour and stop pointing the finger at these people when there isn’t a shred of evidence to suggest that they have anything to do with it? Let me just ask you a question………..The McCann’s were around 100 yards away having something to eat, correct? Now, I am fortunate enough to live in a house with a rear garden around 90 yards long. The shed that houses the lawnmower, garden tools etc….. is at the bottom of my garden i.e. 90 yards away from my house. When I put 2 of my 3 children to bed at night, ages 3 and 2 and I decide to maybe tidy out the shed, cut the grass or the neighbours come over and we open a bottle of wine and strike up the BBQ, can I not assume that my children are safely sleeping in their beds and no one will enter my house and remove them? My point is, the McCann’s are only guilty of being too trusting and we should be supporting them and not kicking them in the teeth when they are going through God knows what. And by the way, guilt doesn’t make you ‘look so thin’, stress and anguish does.

  14. 14 Lynn S Says:

    Well said Lynn

  15. 15 liz Says:

a bit like that mother in the states who acted very distressed and anguished, how long is her sentance.??? Look I hope madeleine is OK and found alive and well, I also hope that who ever is involved is punished for the terrible crime they have committed. but until that person is or persons are found and convicted, I am keeping a very open mind about it. my concern is for the child not the parents at the moment. they are comfy and well fed - who knows where maddie is,

  16. 16 Anonymous Says:

ah as Hal would say , a change of keyboard monkeys….

  17. 17 Lynn S Says:

yeah, a couple of more sensible ‘keyboard monkeys’ for a change

  18. 18 liz Says:

    thanks for the ’sensible’ bit

  19. 19 Lynn S Says:

Actually I wasn’t referring to you Liz, I meant myself and the other Lynn

  20. 20 Anonymous Says:

whats the going rate of pay?

  21. 21 liz Says:

if the cap fits, I’m gonna wear it

  22. 22 Lynn S Says:

you might try and wear it but it will never fit properly

  23. 23 liz Says:

you are right there Lynne S, it will always be too small, anyway if you would rather tap dance on the keyboard then add to the comments at question I’m outta here. I need to go and clean out my garden shed and cut the grass on my 5 acre plot.

  24. 24 Lynn Says:

I don’t know of one good reason any stable family would have to have their daughter kidnapped. As there is no evidence to suggest the McCann’s are unstable then I’m going with the abduction. There are far more evil and vile people in our world than couples looking to have their child kidnapped for whatever reason. If you read up about child abduction you will find that it is more often than not a family member who has been refused residency or custodial rights, a childless couple who have exhausted all avenues and resort to paying someone to ‘obtain’ a child for them or the vile sector of the polpulation. I truly, truly hope Madeleine is reunited with her family asap. They deserve our support as I would hope to have their support if anything happened to any member of my family (God forbid)

  25. 25 liz Says:

you coming with Anon, we can call at tesco on the way

  26. 26 Lynn Says:

Actually Liz, you maybe should go as now you’re having a pop at me for having a big garden and an untidy garden shed.

Me thinks Liz is just out to get under people’s skin.

    Bye Liz

  27. 27 chanaze Says:

Anonymous, you’re full of shit and…self-loathing

  28. 28 John Says:

Were they 100 yards away, or had she already gone? Why must we believe that they were going back to check on her - perhaps that was a blind to convince others, so that when the “abduction” took place, we were all convinced she had been there all along.

  29. 29 corky Says:

Liz, you’re off your head, and nasty with it.

  30. 30 Anonymous Says:

    chanaze, no I am not.
Now, you pop along dear and find something useful to do or say, or just twiddle your thumbs.

Liz see you u in tesco’s!!
