I feel so so much for you and your husband Kate. Please try not to blame yourself. I am a grandmother and when my children were young we used to go away to hotels and leave our three children in their room at night while we went down and had our meal. We cannot prepare ourselves for the evil that is in this world. When we are not evil ourselves how can we imagine what other evil people will do -we can’t prepare for everything. When my children were young we used to leave them in the pram outside shops, we weren’t allowed to take prams into shops in those day. You have done NOTHING wrong. as you said; Does it not have to be used as household expenses for the McCanns?
It is unfortunate that even one child suffers. As in Ben Needham., Not to segregate because of satus. But because of this unfortunate tragedy it is bringing much needed attention to child abuse/abduction. The media were of vital importance in this, they contributed to the frenzy. Whatever it takes hopefully something positive will result in this tragedy. It was a great price Madeleine paid for this publicity. Her tragedy is not measured by wealth or status. she is an innocent victim. And her ultimate contribution to a cause will make a difference.

Aelinor, also I think you will find it has APPALLED the nation to know that supposedly responsible people like Heart Consultants (highly paid because they treat the rich - sod the poor - ask Gerry) and locum GP’s (basically those that cant get a proper practice) can behave in such an appalling manner.

Have you asked yourself why these people used the services of Mark Warner all day but not at night?

Have you asked yourself how far away they were ‘dining’ on other nights?

Have you consider the effect of allowing such neglect to be treated as if it is acceptable, an unfortunate mistake? Ooops - I abandoned my kids and now one of them is missing.

Madeleine McCann’s story has touched the nation. I was babysitting for a friend yesterday, and Velvinna and Seismos (both of whom are only three years old) were colouring by the coffee table. When I peered over I found that they were drawing cards for “Maddy”. It was horribly upsetting; I can only imagine the magnitude of pain Kate and Gerry must be experiencing. We live in Oakleigh near Rothley so on the way to school they left their cards by the green. I have decided now that it’s time to take some independent action. My husband owns a printing press and we have decided to produce a brand known as “Madeleina”. We are aiming at the rock-chick teen market and will be producing black hoodies with the emblem “Mwa 4 Madeleina” on the back. All proceeds will be going to the Madeleine McCann fund.

madeleine touched the nation with this heart breaking story. no one knows what happened on that night she went missing, and it is not helping the family with speculation that they have hurt there own child. they must be going through the worst time of their lives and the only mistake they have made is to leave there children on there own in the fist place. when there is actual facts i will belive but at the minute the portuguese police are clutching at straws because they have not got a clue, the same as none of us have. stop judging the mccanns and start giving them your support………….

I have noticed with interest however Lindy Chamberlain’s comments on nIne Networ, I thought about her case last week.
