Madeleine McCann: Justine McGuinness Speaks
WHAT happens to an ex McCann family spokesperson?
If she’s Justine McGuinness she doesn’t write a book, rather she launches a political campaign.
Now billed in the Mirror as a “family friend” of the McCanns, McGuinness uses her knowledge to call for stricter controls on Europe’s borders.
McGuinness is a member of the Liberal Democrats, currently in conference in Brighton.
She tells the Mirror: “If we want to protect our youngsters we have to make sure that children cannot be moved out of Europe, as well as in.”
This will strike a chord with parents who are forced by law to equip under16s – including babies – with a passport. It cost £45. The baby must not be smiling.
But – get his – a picture of a baby might not be enough.
Says McGuinness: “I think you need border controls when people come into Europe and when people go out. We have to know when people leave our boundaries and we’ve got to know whether they are leaving with children.”
She says this “would have helped” in the case of Madeleine McCann. Only how it would have helped has yet to be established…

This would be the woman who stood for the Liberal Democrats, a party who yesterday voted to allow illegal immigrants to become naturalised if they remain undetected for 10 years. I’m surprised she didn’t add that microchipping all children would help also.

georgele i think you might have struck a good point. I have being wondering that for a good few weeks. How strange is it for gordon brown to comment and be in touch with gerry??? The leaders of politicial parties backing the mccanns. I think madeleine is alive and will reappear when the politicial need arises.

MY suggestion is that “to protect our youngsters” we must NOT leave them ALONE, unattended, night after night, in a hotel apartment, door to the road UNLOCKED, while we go out to eat & drink, and take part in a pub quiz, at a tapas bar 131 yards (120 meters) walk away.

if the parents had not left their kids in the first place, they would not be in this position… and the sad thing is THEY HAVE NOT ADMITTED THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTS … WHY!!! if they can deny this what else are they denying…..?

I would like to question Justine asking for tighter border control. Is barrbed wire going to be placed between road blocks and gun turrets or what? If the roads are watched and controlled what about the space between?
I had a recent holiday which left from Hull to Europe and returned via the same route with a folding camper; plenty of space inside to stash a drugged person so they kept quite during the sailing (or even illegal people) amongst our camping bits and pieces. The only risk being ‘random’ custom checks. How does that work then? We were stopped on our outward journey and swept into their special area - bear in mind we may have been taking illegal escapies to the less benefit favorable EU. Will they be allowed to stay in 10 yrs time if they can hide themselves away well enough during this time? Not sure.
Asked if we had packed it ourselves; we said yes as we had done so we were then swept back into the mainstream fighters to get onboard. We could have had a bomb anything??? I began thinking about hijacking the ship but quickly realised the most damage I could do was to Blackpool pier and that was such a long way away and in totally the wrong direction to our destination. POO!
On our return journey we just boarded without any questions & could quite easily have had Madeleine onboard our folding camper. For that matter there are caravans, vans, mobile homes, lorries even cars (& we all know about the size of a normal car boot these days, capable of holding toys, unclean pyjamas, used nappies etc…dead bodies…err?? All in the spare tyre space too.. Blinking heck the wonders of modern day life!!.
To be fair though the passport people did get out of their little cabin to check on the kids faces & were rather thorough in that respect thought the reward money could have been the driving factor here also. But we could still have had Madeleine in our folding camper??
