Team McCann: Let’s Rumble!
Team McCann have come out fighting - so let’s rumble too.
Have you ever stood in an underground railway station and been forewarned of the arrival of a train by the gust of air that’s pushed ahead of it - well I feel that way about Clarence Mitchell. A man whose proven and demonstrated incompetence rides ahead of him everywhere he goes.
He is the man Gerry McCann chose to be the McCann family spruiker - a man who stands in the doorway of a bargain basement shop trying to flog the passing public a range of shoddy goods.
Mitchell has made many enemies in the British media and considering they are the vehicles he hopes will carry his tawdry message of innocence, it just goes to show the level of intelligence within the McCann family. Then again, we are talking about two people who deliberately chose to leave their children alone every night of their holiday, then feel hurt and surprised when they become the rightful target of cynicism and scorn.
According to Mitchell’s cliché ridden sales message that sounded incredibly like a naughty schoolboy trying to explain to his mum why he has two dozen chocolate bars hidden under his bed, (yes folks, been there done that - but I was ten!) everything has an innocent explanation.
In that case, why did the woman who labours under the mistaken belief that she is a responsible mother, refuse to answer 40 valid questions that were put to her by Portuguese police - a police force desperately trying to find the truth about what happened to the daughter she betrayed, but are hampered by the constant interference of a network of religious, political, arse-coverers and publicity seeking celebrities.
Why were her answers considered unsatisfactory - even though she was warned in advance that she would be questioned. For Heaven’s sake, couldn’t the might of the British Brains Trust, get their heads together before hand to identify and address foreseeable questions? OK, don’t answer that - I know the answer having spent time dealing with these Icons of Mediocrity in the past.
Perhaps Clarence could provide innocent explanations for a few other questions.
* Why did you say the McCanns are the victims of a heinous crime? Did you take the easy way out because you had as much difficulty remembering Madeleine’s name as her father constantly does? After all, Madeleine is the only victim in all of this - the McCanns not only paved the way for their present situation, they provided and carried the paving stones as well.
* Why has evidence that until now has seldom been successfully challenged in court, suddenly become unreliable? We are not just talking about one source of evidence - but every damn thing that has been reported.
By your logic, half the prison population in the UK has been convicted on unreliable evidence. Are you going to step in and help them as well? Would protesting the innocence of some poor sod from Brixton be as beneficial to your career and status as the McCanns?
* Do you really believe that too many people will believe the explanations you have given so far? Never mind about poor bloody dogs and world renowned forensic labs being open to question - your explanations have as little credibility as the McCanns have demonstrated from the beginning. I am sure that if it came to trial, an aggressive, unbiased prosecutor would call on their own experts to shoot your excuses out of the water.
* Why is Russell O’Brien so allusive and running so scared? Why do the attacks on this blog increase when I mention him?
* Why do the McCanns have so many high level political and religious connections?
* What do the McCanns or the other members of the party know about these connections?
* What is the involvement of Alistair Clark, a good friend from University days and a diplomat close to Gordon Brown? The first call Gerry made on the night of the crime was to Alistair Clark. Who did Clark then contact?
* What sort of people are these ideal parents? They used the local priest at the start to show what ‘devout Catholics’ they were. He was useful - but when he had outlived his usefulness, they left with no thank yous or even good byes. They just ignored him. In exactly the same way they behaved towards Mark Warner staff at the Ocean Club. When they left, no thank yous or good byes
* What is the involvement of the Church and those involved in Church cover ups? In Day 25 of his blog, Gerry writes “The trip has been facilitated through Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor”.
While Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, it was brought to Murphy-O’Connor’s attention that a priest, Michael Hill, was a paedophile. Instead of reporting Hill to the police he apparently illegally covered up the crime and transferred Hill to Gatwick Airport chapel, where the Cardinal believed he would not be able to abuse children. In 1997, Hill was finally convicted as a paedophile and jailed for assaulting nine children. After three years in jail, Hill was given another five years for assaulting three other boys. In 2000, when O’Connor ascended to the status of Archbishop of Westminster, the case become known to the general public.
On a side note, the esteemed and ethical Cardinal can be seen in this video, which by coincidence is introduced by a David Payne.
* One last question. Given the long list of lies, contradictions, misleading statements, high-level interference, and the proven deliberate act of repeated premeditated negligence, why do you, the McCanns, their little band of supporters, and the UK media, find it so hard to comprehend what is to the rest of the world - the bleeding obvious - that the McCanns actions are open to scrutiny, suspicion and attack. They are the architects and builders of their own fate.

Slip road - high wall on right hand side, red/orange bricked - Maddie in there at present. This is no ordinary residence. See black iron gates. See guard dogs, lawns and statues. Off beaten track. See a dolly being bathed in a small tin bath tub. See a lot of turquoise and gold ornate material - very expensive cloth, feels like a costume of some kind or clothing. Royal connection.

Here is a photograph from Sky News of the very same Clarence Mitchell, accompanying Mr McCann on his recent flying visit to the UK. He is the bloke on the right in the ice-cream seller’s jacket.
Mitchell was a BBC Reporter who appears to have left the Beeb for an important job with HM Government. According to this, he is now the director of the Media Monitoring Unit within the Central Office of Information (COI). If he is still employed there, and presumably drawing his salary, what the heck is he doing mixed up with the Madeleine business? Does he have his nose in the ever growing Madeleine Fund trough?
I have sent an e-mail to the COI requesting this information. Keep tuned folks.
UPDATE 26th May: According to this Clarence has morphed into “Foreign Office Spokesman”.
But why should HMG be involved in an essentially private matter? And who is paying to perk up Clarence’s sun tan?

2. A report from CNA (Cetholic News Agency): Parents of missing Madeline to receive support from Pope
London, May 28, 2007 / 12:22 pm (CNA).-
Pope Benedict, according to the Guardian, has expressed a desire to meet with the parents of the missing four-year-old Madeline McCann. The couple has drawn strength from their Catholic faith throughout the ordeal of their daughter’s disappearance on May 3rd.
“We are currently exploring the possibility of a visit by Gerry and Kate McCann to meet the Pope in Rome in the near future,” family spokesman Clarence Mitchell confirmed yesterday.
A meeting with the Pope would be “profoundly important” to the couple and would help strengthen the faith to which they have publicly turned in recent weeks, according to the Guardian.
The couple is making efforts to expand the reach of the search for their daughter beyond Portugal to other parts of Europe with the help of grassroots Catholic groups and other organizations.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, the Roman Catholic archbishop of Westminster, has been working to arrange a visit with the Pope so that Benedict can have the opportunity to support the couple with his prayers and encouragement.
A spokesperson for Cardinal Murphy-O’Connor said: “The cardinal is conscious of the prayers of the entire Catholic community in this country for the McCann family at this distressing time.
“The cardinal also assured Dr McCann of his prayers for the safe release of Madeleine and for the rest of the family.”
The couple plans to also travel to Spain, Germany and Holland in their search for their daughter. They have been offered the use of a private jet by a British entrepreneur and have raised a substantial amount to mount a more widespread search.

3. WHO TIPPED OFF THE MCCANNS – WAS IT CLARENCE MITCHELL?
[I can’t post the link here, so Google ‘Prisonersvoice’ and ‘Blogspot’ - T.B.]
Earlier, family friend and former spokesman Clarence Mitchell told The Associated Press that police told Kate McCann and her husband, Gerry, that they would both be named as suspects.
I have just spoken to my contact in Portugal and he states categorically, that it was not the British police who tipped off the McCanns [about their phone calls and e-mails being monitored] but it was instead Clarence Mitchell, who basically told them to ‘shut the fug up’ as they were being monitored.
Given that he was at the time working for the British government he should face criminal prosecution. It might also give credence to the rumour in media circles that he did not resign but was subjected to instant dismissal.
Could this be Clarence Mitchell who is the source? “A source close to the couple said: “British police warned Kate and Gerry when they were in Portugal that their phones and emails might have been tapped into”. And, if so, why is he trying to discredit the British police?
Over to you Clarence, try spinning your way out of that one!
UPDATE: As the Portuguese police were monitoring the McCanns prior to Clarence Mitchell becoming involved, the likelihood is that they obtained certain confidential information. The likelihood is that the McCanns were questioned in the light of this information. As we know, the McCanns chose not to answer some of the questions, those of a more damning nature. We also know that the Portuguese police complained of British government interference. Given what we now know of Clarence Mitchell’s overstepping the line, this complaint would appear to be justified. Interfering with the due process of law is called perverting the course of justice.
I feel that this not only requires Clarence Mitchell to explain his conduct, but also that the British government should make a statement in relation to the matter. Perhaps, an official apology to the State of Portugal would be appropriate?
UPDATE: Channel 4 News tonight:
1. The McCanns have to apply to the PJ to disclose all the evidence they have against them.
2. Simon Israel questioned Clarence Mitchell, however, he refused to answer how and where and when the McCanns first became aware that they were being bugged by the Portuguese police. All Tapas 9 were being bugged plus the McCanns PR representative.
COMMENTS (I’ve selected a few – T.B.)
(a) It’s good to see when a tragedy occurs, the parents can count on people as Clarence Mitchelll, important scientists and magnates to help a simple couple that lost their daughter. All the aid is necessary, and if another tragedy to happen any English father and mother will be able to always count on assisting to the highest level, OR NOT.
(b) It’s also interesting to know that in the same week that Maddie disappeared, over 1000 children vanished across Europe. Where is the high level help for them, where is the Government involvement, where is money, the trust funds, the media attention. No, follow the masonic links and the money.There is something about this that stinks.
(c) This photograph is wonderful; how can two innocent people look so shifty ?
(d) Gerry & Kate are looking more shifty by the day and Gerry appears to be getting smaller! weird! A question I keep asking myself is this: why did the McCanns hire a car on 25/5 - they didn’t need one when they arrived in Portugal obviously - and who had access to the car whilst they went to meet the Pope a few days later? Is that when Maddy’s body was disposed of? - and is that why the McCanns needed to meet the Pope? I’m convinced at least one more family member/friend is somehow involved in this.
(e) If you’ve got nothing to hide, you don’t mind having your phone and e-mails tapped in to! Especially if it could help bring your daughter back!
(f) from John to Judith: I have put [my article] on the Daily Mirror forum, other than that I have not circulated. But, when I posted it last night, I was receiving over 100 hits an hour reading it. So, word should have gone around by now.
(g) I would also like to know who the anonymous McCann backer is…the one who is paying Mitchell’s salary whilst he is working for the McCanns. If he is so sure tha that they are innocent why is he not being open about revealing himself? Or is he just hedging his bets?
(h) You may like to take this up! Philomena McCann is now showing all email addresses on her petition - this is a gross invasion of privacy. Nowhere on the petition is there the facility to check a box saying “show your email address/don’t show your email address”. She does not allow comments to be published so early on those leaving criticisms found only their name was showing (which made them appear a supporter) but now she is showing all email addresses so the legitimate people giving their personal email address have it visible to the WWW
(i) I certainly hope he has either been ousted from or has sacrificed his civil service career. The alternative doesn’t bear thinking about, although at this stage would hardly be a major surprise.
(j) It’s certainly an odd career move for a senior civil servant.
(k) What a load of c___. Those two and that selfish money grabber Mitchell are a waste of space.

4. SECOND ARTICLE ON PRISONERSVOICE BLOGSPOT
Has Clarence Mitchell breached the Official Secrets Act?
Following on from this post yesterday. And, the questions posed to Clarence Mitchell on Channel 4, which I posted in an update, and it has to be said that Clarence Mitchell was less than straight with his reply.
When, where, and how, did the McCanns become aware that they were under electronic surveillance by the Portuguese police? Clarence Mitchell would have become aware of this as Head of the Media Monitoring Unit when he was seconded to the Foreign Office because he was working in the employ of the British government. It is possible that MI6 informed him, to be careful. In any event, by informing the McCanns of information which he had received as a civil servant, and he would have had to sign The Official Secrets Act, he has breached that Act. So, not only has he perverted the course of justice, there is a second charge to face.
Clarence, are you still claiming you jumped because it is looking increasingly likely that you were pushed?

COMMENT 1: Being serious for a moment. I dont think it really matters if he has or not. The McCanns are using anyone with power or anyone that shows a perverse amount of greed to join their clan.
Normal people are not interested if one or the other are doing this or that. They just want to know what happened to Madeleine.
The media and the McCanns have played everyone for their own reasons. I would imagine that the powers that be are so scared to challenge the McCanns, Whether or not the McCanns had anything to do with the disappearance on May 3.
Clarence Mitchell comes across as ignorant as the rest of the McCann fan club. The only sure thing is that he will be very well off.
I do not think this ‘find Madeleine appeal’ will ever stop even though the gravy chain is sure to end.
Mitchell has for sure bent the rules, whether anyone has the balls to do anything is another matter. With Branson on board everyone within the camp must feel very safe.
The McCanns, GP’s, friends in high places and celebs on their side are sure to walk free.
I guess Mitchell will too.

I’m sitting here wondering how far Dr’s McCann are prepared to take this farce. At some stage they’re going to have to stop and get off the merry-go-round …. it’s starting to spin faster and faster and they’re going to start getting dizzy very soon. These people are actually BEYOND belief!
I am actually quite sick to the stomach that they have shown such little interest in their “missing” daughter. Every single day that goes by their self-importance increases slightly more …. can someone please wake them up and tell them that this is the frikking real world here … and they need to start getting some respect for the child that they “lost” while they were on holiday!

Jeremy Kyle is an English chat show host, on a channel in UK called ITV. Not sure where you are firestar (thought you were British!) but he’s a bit like the British version of (darn, I forget his name but he’s got gingerish hair and is overweight - is initial is J but I honestly can’t think of his name!!) but Jeremy’s shows are all abit like “Mother, why did you sleep with my father’s husband’s aunty’s best friend’s lizard?” and “Lover, I know you gang banged my brother’s wife’s sister’s lover’s neighbour’s daughter’s father’s friends”.
Good for a bit of mindless entertainment and a laugh.
