Go back to the initial interviews and hear Gerry say that they did feel bad about not being there “at that moment”. An abduction does not take place in a moment, but an accident does. Gerry added “irrespective of whether or not we were in our bedroom” meaning that even in the bedroom they could not have prevented whatever happened, and thus they are not guilty of neglect, but are responsible parents, blah blah blah.

I would think the police have enough evidence to arrest the whole Tapas group for serious child neglect. Then they could add obstruction of justice, fraud, (if it was known girl was dead). Never mind the involuntary murder charge — that could come later.

That is a stupid assumption to make, the McCanns are consultants, they are upper-middle class. I am middle class and believe that they only get such coverage because of their social status. Gerry & Kate are both sick and both very good at planning. It would be hard to have something to do with an abduction that did not take place. But obviously they snatched the body, and then stashed it.

Gerry looks like he could use a little snatch every now and then, by the way. Hot Lips hasn’t been giving him any . Maybe that will be what finally leads him to rat on his wife.
