Madeleine McCann: A Titanic Struggle With The Germans And Slavery In Morocco

madeleine-mccann-german-adverts.thumbnail Madeleine McCann: A Titanic Struggle With The Germans And Slavery In Morocco MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann

DAILY EXPRESS front page: “IS MADELEINE A CHILD SLAVE IN MOROCCO?”

“Madeleine McCann may have been condemned to a life of slavery working as a ‘little maid’ for a rich Arab family…” Or not

Page 5: “’Madeleine will be used as a little maid’” – so suggests Inspector Hicham Alaoui of the Moroccan Police in El Hajeb near Fez

Little maids, notes the paper, are “collected by rich families as ‘curiosities’ as well as servants. A woman from a group called Ecpatuk says such children are “vulnerable to abuse”. The Express sys the girls are abused “physically, emotionally and sexually”. Can Madeleine McCann be among them? Maybe…

“Sacked detective called in to help with the probe” – Chief Inspector Goncalo Amaral is talking with new chief Paulo Rebelo

“Fury over magazine ‘sick’ ads” – German magazine titanic has lampooned the case, using Madeleine’s image in spoof supermarket adverts. Gerry and Kate McCann call it “sick” and “very hurtful”. The magazine says Madeleine McCann is “getting a bit much for many people”

DAILY MIRROR front page: “Clear us… you have no case”

Says a friend of Kate and Gerry McCann: “They are adamant they should now be cleared”, as are many suspects in ongoing investigations

Page 7: “McCann ‘clear us’ demand’” – Says Clarence Mitchell: “If the reports are true clearly it would indicate the police absolutely, and quite rightly, have no case against Kate and Gerry”

DAILY MAIL front page: “Oh. Come off it, Heather, how dare you compare your ordeal to Kate McCann’s?” Heather Mills is on the telly

Page 7: “Police pursuit of McCanns ‘is running out of steam’” – The public prosecutor in Portugal says Kate and Gerry McCann will not face further police interviews “unless detectives can produce stronger evidence against them”

Mark Williams-Thomas, a former detective with Surrey Police, says the McCann’s private detectives could be on the wrong trail in Morocco. Or not

THE SUN page 24: “GERMAN MAG’S SICK JOKES ABOUT MADDIE – McCanns’ horror as spoof ad pokes fun at lost girl”

Ad advert in satirical Titantic magazine promises the kitchen cleaner will “remove all traces at the home” even DNA traces. The adverts warn that just because Madeleine’s face is on the product it does not mean they can be taken for free. The Sun is disgusted. It reproduces the images and the words to allow its readers to share in its disgust

A march on the German embassy is not yet in the planning

DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE SICK NEW TWIST – Horror at German abuse of missing tot”

The Germans have her. A German paedo!

Page 7: “TOTALLY SICK – A full reproduction of the spoof adverts. “McCann’s agony as rag mocks hunt for Maddie.” Thanks to the Star and Sun, the McCanns now know that an obscure German magazines has made jokes about their case

Says Clarence Mitchell: “It shows Madeleine herself no respect… The magazine did not seek permission to use Madeleine’s image to be used on this so-called joke. It they had it would almost certainly not have been given”

So much for doing anything to keep Madeleine in the news

THE INDEPENDENT page 5: “Mills: I am treated as badly as Kate McCann and Diana.” More on Lady Mucca

THE TELEGRAPH page 9: “Madeleine police ‘consult sacked head of inquiry’” – chief inspector Goncalo Amaral is on the case. Sort of

The paper says detectives are “no closer to solving the case”. And the campaign to find Madeleine goes on…

Says Clarence Mitchell: “It shows Madeleine herself no respect… The magazine did not seek permission to use Madeleine’s image to be used on this so-called joke. It they had it would almost certainly not have been given”

    …..only almost certainly?

  5. naddo Says:

    4th

Looking forward to seeing the products in Tesco soon

  6. Will Says:

Wouldn’t have expected much more from the papers today. Was obvious ‘Team McCann’ were working like ‘madmen’ yesterday.

  7. m.e. Says:

What do we make of Murat being interviewed with no further evidence yet the judge refuses the McCanns be re interviewed because there’s eeerrrrm no further evidence?

  8. Will Says:

    5 naddo

    Tesco?

    ……this isn’t just satire, this is M & S satire.

  9. Hideki Says:

Says Clarence Mitchell: “It shows Madeleine herself no respect… The magazine did not seek permission to use Madeleine’s image to be used on this so-called joke. It they had it would almost certainly not have been given”

“Almost certainly?” LOL. Anything for a price, eh? Madeleine is now a copyrighted idea — nothing to do with respect for Madeleine. When did the McCanns show respect to Madeleine?

I hate to tell Clarence this, but that was the point of the satire…

  10. Will Says:

Nasty British pressure on behalf of the wonderful Kate & Gerry, maybe?

  11. Ian Says:

    7 m.e. Yep!

    http://newsdeskspecial.co.uk/madeleinemccann/

The clearest indication yet that it is UK Government pressure on Portugal and they are bending to it. There is something very significant here.

  12. Ian Says:

Nothing to do with Maddy but a Labour party ‘think tank’ has apparently recommended banning the celebration of Christmas in the UK as it ‘upsets the sensibilities’ of the non-Christians.

  13. Will Says:

    12 Ian

As a non-christian I agree. The robbers stole the mid winter festival anyway.

  14. m.e. Says:

Are we getting too close to the truth or something? What the f*** is happening to this site?………………….

  15. m.e. Says:

    13 Will

    ‘Abducted’ not ’stole’. :-)

  16. Ferdinand Says:

    7 m.e. Says:

“What do we make of Murat being interviewed with no further evidence yet the judge refuses the McCanns be re interviewed because there’s eeerrrrm no further evidence?”

There has been lots of new evidence since Murat has been interviewed the last time. The whole DNA/sniffer dog evidence has not been discussed with him so far.

  17. Maria Says:

    11 Ian

Very good link for a summary of case but what is “significant” in it. Can’t see anything new. May have read too quickly. Going to work in a minute!

Murat hasn’t actually been interviewed again has he? Seems to be in same state of limbo as McCanns and friends.

Oddly enough, I think ALL of them actually want to be interviewed again, Murat, McCanns AND friends. Well, they’re all reported as saying they’d welcome it, anyway.

  18. m.e. Says:

Funny Murats lawyer welcomes being interviewed again. Wonder if Clarence would say the same? :-)

  19. m.e. Says:

Gerry’s back to work this morning. Got any tomatoes? :-)

  20. matty Says:

Ian 11 cheers for the link. Had a quick read through and found this. Wonder if it will be “should” or will, in connection to monitoring and patients options?

One high profile name who’d like greater scrutiny of McCann once he resumes his work is Roger Goss, director of Patient Concern. “He should be monitored for three to six months to ensure he is all right,” said Mr Goss. “Patients should be allowed the option of not being treated by him.”

  21. bulldump Says:

    regarding the spoof ads:
The McCanns’ spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, said the parents were upset when he showed them the ad.

i would have thought it blatantly clear that the mccanns would have been at the very least concened at the spoof adverts.

so, clarence why the hell show them, you are suppossed to be looking for the girl not trawling satire on the internet.

you got the sympathy of people many several months ago and you abused it.

  22. bulldump Says:

i have read through the posts this morning and they are not up to much so i proclaim my former post to be the first

  23. Matt Says:

    From Yesterday’s postings….894..…Thea

“My doctor relocated her office to her home or is that not permitted in the UK?”

Since Dr H Shipman’s case….GP’s are no longer allowed to provide Health
Care Facilities from within a single man/woman run Practice. Dr H Shipman
worked alone and that was considered a contributory factor in his being able
to cover up his serial killings for so long.

An interesting link re Shipman :

    http://www.murderuk.com/serial_dr_harold_shipman.html

  24. Ian Says:

16 Ferdinand - neither have the Mccanns answered all the questions and neither has the rest of the T9(+1).

Why is it one rule for Murat and anotehr for the rest? Is it that he will be the first to be ‘eliminated form their enquiries’ - i.e. clear up the easy stuff first to focus on the real suspects?

Or is it pressure from the UK ‘Government’ (unelected Brown)?

  25. Ian Says:

23 Matt - thats not right. My own GP is single handed.

There are rules to monitor deaths, but its weak and easty to get around…dont believe the government ‘hype’ - as usual the realities are different.

  26. Will Says:

Just seen Gerry returning to work. Took Clarence instead of cuddle cat.

  27. Indiansummer Says:

Thr german paper said the truth:
The irony here is that in the Danny Holland case in the US, part of the publicity campaign involved putting Danny’s face on milk cartons.

For those that don’t know, after Danny’s parents had claimed he was missing and were going through “every parents nightmare”, his father confessed on being interviewed again after 6 months and took the cops to the body which was weighe down in a lake.

The mother had battered Danny to death and the father cleared and covered up.

Oh, and they also passed lie detectors.

  28. Will Says:

SKY News claim Gerry has been at the hospital for 7 years - wasn’t he in Amsterdam 5 years ago?

  29. bulldump Says:

has anyone a url for these spoof pictures of maddie?

  30. Ian Says:

    28 Will

    I think you are right.
