Madeleine McCann: Mafia, A Bag Of Clothes And Missing Children
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
NEWS OF THE WORLD: “Maddie DNA clue in airport bag”
A bag of clothes containing “DNA linked to Madeleine McCann” has been found dumped by a road in Portugal.” It is a white carrier bag. It was in a layby two weeks ago near Faro airport.
“The bag contained a blue fleece jacket and a pair of adult jeans with traces of DNA that contained ‘moderate’ links to Madeleine”. And: “There was also a SHOWER CURTAIN inside.” And a white flannel, a green elastic band, a light green child’s T-shirt with a green flower on the front and a pink and blue pencil case with a pink heart motif
“Godfather in Madeleine hunt… Crime godfathers in Morocco—where there have been several alleged sightings of Maddie - have been told cops will scale back drug busts if they do”
SUNDAY MIRROR front page: “MY LITTLE MADDY” - a picture of Madeleine McCann on a pony with Kate McCann by her side
• “McCanns heartache as Cops say: “Case closes in 7 weeks
• Police to leave cloud of suspicion over Kate and Gerry”
SUNDAY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE MYSTERY – McCANN FRIENDS TO BE NAMED AS SUSPECTS”
“Dr Russell O’Brien and his partner Jane Tanner, Matthew Oldfield and Dr David Payne were last night forced to bring in their own lawyers after increasing fears that Portuguese police were preparing to implicate them in the case of the vanished four-year-old girl”
So will they be named as suspects or not? The Express say yes and then prevaricates
DAILY STAR ON SUNDAY front page: “MADDIE SIX MONTHS ON – 15 NEW CLUES”
That picture of Madeleine McCann on a horse. A clue?
SUNDAY PEOPLE: “ANSWER OUR PRAYERS - ON THE SIX-MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF LOSING MADDIE Kate weeps at church service for Maddie as parents suffer crushing blow”
“The devout couple first took two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie for ‘a few moments of solitude’ at their village church to remember missing Maddie”
A solitude watched by person who told the press? No need with Clarence Mitchell to fill in the gaps, Says he: “Kate and Gerry wanted a few moments of solitude praying for Madeleine with the twins”
Inside the church: “A collage of pictures of a happy Maddie - including the one…of her sitting on a black Shetland pony - took pride of place near the altar. Six snaps of the youngster next to smiling faces of other missing children were pinned onto a green notice board. Supporters were encouraged to look at the pictures before praying”
And they pray for…
The People looks at “respected” Portuguese daily Publico, which tells: “Six months on from Madeleine’s disappearance, the police theory remains the same. That the child died by accident in her room - and her parents committed the crime of hiding her body”
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine’s parents hold prayer vigil six months to the minute after she disappeared”
There are about 200 people at the “700-year-old church” near Rothley, Leicestershire
The McCanns are suspects
“Other missing children - including British toddler Ben Needham, who disappeared while on holiday in Greece in 1991, were also remembered at the service”
Did Ben Needham’s family ask for this? Want it?
Says the Rev Rob Gladstone: “Comfort and liberate all those, especially young children who have been taken from their families against their will, give courage to their grieving families”
A board says “Pray for all missing children.” How were the faces on the board selected? Many children are missing
THE INDEPENDENT: “Six months after Madeleine, another 600 are still missing”
Missing persons charities yesterday released figures “showing that more than 600 children have been missing in the UK for as long as Madeleine McCann, and are still unaccounted for”
Many are foreign. Many are teenagers. Not all are blonde
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Prayers for Madeleine McCann, six months on”
“The 3,500-strong population of Rothley - its trees decked in yellow ribbons and messages of support - came to a near standstill as Kate and Gerry arrived from their nearby home”
Locals can’t move for the press?
Rothley is an “affluent Midlands enclave”. This is McCann Land – the enclave - a small territory culturally and ethnically different form the surrounding lands
Says Gerry in his blog: “We have no idea whether she is suffering, but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”
THE GUARDIAN: “Madeleine book notes the ‘contradictions’”
More on Maddie 129, a book by Hernani Carvalho and Luis Maia
“The message is that the case just doesn’t add up,” says a representative of the book’s publishers
THE SCOTSMAN: “Six months on, McCanns in new Maddie plea”
The picture of Madeleine on a Shetland pony was taken on a day out at the Hatton Country World park in Warwickshire on April 13 – “less than three weeks before she went missing”
THE TIMES: “Gerry McCann: ‘our princess prayer for Madeleine’”
Gerry McCann’s blog: “It is so painful for us simply being separated, but all the more distressing when we have to speculate about the situation Madeleine finds herself [in]. We have no idea whether she is suffering but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Madeleine McCann: Mafia, A Bag Of Clothes And Missing Children, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

The news about the clothing found recently in a bag is really bothering me.
The latest news that the DNA shows traces of Madeleine on that clothing, blue jeans and a fleece.
A shower curtain which the abductor probably used to wash away any traces of the little girl from his body, was it a lone paedophile that took her then disposed of her by burying her under the sand at the beach, then while travelling up to Faro airport discarded the bag thinking it would not be found or linked to the abduction. Then boarded a plane home.

What fertile imaginations some of you have!!!!! Paedophilia? Autism? the mind boggles!!!!!
It is taking the PJ such a long time to announce the Forensic findings (which I think he knew
a long time ago) that we can only assume there is insufficient evidence to charge the
Mcanns. As for the expectant visit to question the Tapas 7, how do we know they have not
already been questioned? It would be very easy for the Portugese team to come to the U.K.,
unannounced, and, if the Tapas have been questioned theywould be warned about secrecy etc. I certainly don”t believe what we read in the Press except for the Times, Guardian,
Telegraph, Observer . If there is a political pressure to subvert justice, shame on those
involved!!!!!!!!!! All we can do is wait and speculate, but PLEASE KEEP your opinions within
the realms of possibility…………

Not only is is not out of line, it is absolutely necessary. That is precisely why I have been somewhat explicitly presenting the possibilities that the Tapas9 were involved in a pedophilia network.
Edit……
Let me ask this: will the McCanns make public all of Madeleine’s medical records? Who are the physicians who examined her during her short life? (was it only the McCanns?). It was me who originally suggested that your posts containing speculation about the acts that may have befallen Madeleine whilst still in the care of her parents were unnecessarily detailed. I still think that, but that’s just my opinion. There isn’t a shred of evidence that has come to light to suggest that the McCann’s or any of their friends were involved in paedophilia. That is not to say we can’t question whether abuse may have played any part in this case, but please, spare me the details. I’m intelligent, I can figure out what evidence the police would hope to gather from a body.
Your point about Madeleine’s medical records are illogical. You, myself and others, can theorise all we like about what may have happened to Madeleine. We are not however the investigating authority. We are interested bystanders at best. The McCann’s do not have to answer any of the speculation we post here, nor do they have to provide the evidence that we would like access to test our latest pet theory. Madeleine’s medical records are not, and should never be, in the public domain. You would hope however that the police have asked for access to them, are cross checking who was updating her records and are re-examining those records to see if they might point to any prior history of abuse.

++++++++++++++++
Sorry, there are plenty of others here with theories and speculations about what may have happened, don’t think you need me to start inventing more speculation. Others here are also far more earnest than myself and better informed. I’m happy to comment on individual post/media article that are possibly not clear and/or are open to some other interpretation. It is so easy to start speculating and then turn this speculation into some sort of pseudo-fact simply because Clarence hasn’t appeared on national TV and explained why “Anorak Theory No. £1,095,223.50 [Ludicrous Co-incident] ” can’t possibly be correct!
Just for the record, whilst there are elements of this case which are in the public domain, and clearly from my posts I’m not currently inclined to believe in the abduction theory, I think it is pure speculation to attempt to construct a ‘case’ based on information that is currently in the public domain. That doesn’t however preclude debate/comment on the elements of the case that are known about or heavily leaked via the media.
I do hope that the PJ have somewhat more substantial and incontrovertible evidence than currently appears to be the case. I’m probably misquoting, but I think the kindest thing I’ve heard about the state of the investigation in recent weeks was something along the lines of, “The PJ know roughly what happened, who was probably involved and when it is likely to have happened but they don’t have sufficient evidence to prove it.” I’m not implying that statement is factual other than the circumstances it implies. i.e. The PJ don’t believe the abduction theory, probably due to lack of evidence, but can prove their preferred theory, probably also due to lack of evidence. Think that’s called “checkmate” in some circles.

“The circumstances of the case encourage us to speculate and even wildly imagine what has brought about these very unusual behaviors on the part of the suspects and their friends, their protectors, and the press, but I think we should maintain a level of human decency as we pursue the truth.”
Yes, although it appears that the McCanns lack such human decency, that is no reason to point out their immorality without a reason. The fundamental reason is to search out the truth regarding Madeleine, and to ensure that justice prevails.
“I don’t think Hideki’s posts were too graphic, imo, btw. If she went into detailed descriptions of graphic sexual acts–that would be wrong, but just mentioning the potential evidence of such acts is not out of line.”
Not only is is not out of line, it is absolutely necessary. That is precisely why I have been somewhat explicitly presenting the possibilities that the Tapas9 were involved in a pedophilia network.
Many have wondered about the motives for disposing of a body, which must be done at considerable risk. Was the fear of having sedatives found enough to warrant this drastic action? Several posters have thought not. However, if an autopsy/medical examination would have uncovered evidence of recent and long-term sexual abuse, that might provide a much stronger motive to take such a risk. Not only might there be evidence of sexual abuse, there might be semen or other DNA evidence that pointed to particular individual(s).
Let me ask this: will the McCanns make public all of Madeleine’s medical records? Who are the physicians who examined her during her short life? (was it only the McCanns?). Madeleine’s medical history has been one of the things the McCanns have kept a tight secret, despite rumors of developmental deficiency, autism, etc. WHY?

It was TRUE that every night a pedophile(s) was in the apartment sexually abusing the children.
…………………………..
“and you know this how?”
Of course I cannot know it. It was a supposition from which you selectively quoted in order to misrepresent my point. My speculation was:
“They did not have much time to fashion a big lie. They created the lie by basing it upon truth. It was TRUE that every night a pedophile(s) was in the apartment sexually abusing the children. So for them it was but a short step to create a fiction that during this time a pedophile abducted Madeleine. ”
“All I can say is the police must be really dumb, or in on it of course, if they let the children all go home with their respective abusing parents.”
I do think all of those parents are at the very least guilty of criminal neglect and child endangerment. So it is unfortunate that they are still permitted custody of their children.
BTW, I think Gerry’s comment about how he hopes “they [the pedophiles whom Team McCann alleges abducted her] are treating her like a princess” is yet another thing that only someone sympathetic to pedophiles would say.
Neither of the McCanns have expressed any horror that Madeleine might be with pedophiles. Why. Simple — because the thought does not horrify them. For Gerry, it makes perfect sense to hope that a toddler is with a pedophile who treats her like a princess.
If that does not horrify you, I wonder what would….

I, as a parent and a former child I must say that what I feel is ANGER. When has it ever been OK
to put your children in harms way? My mother and father, who were very strict , one year decided
to leave us with our older Sibs for a few hours,.Yikes! we almost burned down the house, we were
sooo naughty, to this day it still makes me shudder. In a blink of an eye your world changes
forever. So please lets not act like this is some type of MISTAKE they made. It is unconscionable
negligence!

1106. Canada,
I agree but the authorities believe her father took her out of the country. It is strange though that she does look much more like Baby Grace than Madeleine and I would think that if her father had left the US with her that there would be a records leading us to where they are? Strange considering the very strict ID’s necessary these days to fly even within the country let alone to a foreign one.

I like the idea of a real, lasting McConn anniversary on 5 November - that’s a REAL anniversary, not a thicko gerrykins “6 -month anniversary†“for kate and I†(sic).
It would also reinforce the truly english tradition of burning catholics pip pip
AND lessen the impact of the awful haloween - which seems to have taken over of late.
To our US colleagues, that’s not an anti-american remark. I am told that haloween originated in ireland and floated across the atlantic.
Just like a plastic box, really…

I am not sure as to the details (i.e. how long), but weren’t some of the Tapas 9 staying behind in Portugal to lend the McCanns moral support or something?
And I agree with you on Murat. I always suspected he was little more than an eager-beaver real estate salesman, hoping to cash in on NINE doctors/medical professionals.
Yes. Imagine how many vacation villas there are nearby with nobody staying in them. But it’s nothing to open the freezer….
