Madeleine McCann: Portuguese Police Confess, ‘Madeleine’ Found And Baby Grace

baby-grace.thumbnail Madeleine McCann: Portuguese Police Confess, Madeleine Found And Baby GraceMADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann

DAILY MIRROR front page: “MADDY COPS ADMIT BUNGLE”

Page5: “WE MUCKED UP – Cops reveals shambles of Maddy crime scene.” Two uniformed Guarda Nacional officers claim their superiors “mucked up big”.

One tells the Mirror: “When we arrived it was chaos. Everyone had walked through that place. I lifted my arms, rolled my eyes and put my head down and just got on with it… To find a circus walking in and out of a possible crime scene – well, it was ridiculous…We mucked up big time”

Says another officer: “This case has no end. It’ll get field away with an open verdict. The parents will be suspects for ever. That’s justice for you”

The Mirror does not name either officer. This is due to “Portugal’s strict secrecy laws” – the same laws the prevent police leaks to the media

DAILY EXPRESS front page: “Why we suspected McCanns and their friends from the start by Portuguese police”

Page 9: “McCanns and friends ‘jumpy and nervous’” – Two men from the Guarda Nacional are speaking to the press. Says Officer A: “Something wasn’t right. They were upset, panicking, wide-eyed – all the usual responses. But there was something else”

What? The worry that the possible crime scene had been disturbed and not sealed off properly?

“They were scared, and not just the usual scared. They were jumpy and nervous. I don’t know, it wasn’t normal”

Well, it’s not very normal situation, even in Portugal

Says Officer B: “They were hard to get any sense out of. A good scare sobers anyone up.” And the McCanns had been drinking

And of the crime scene? Say Officer A: “They’d paraded half of Luz through there even before they’d called us” – a call the officers say came 40 minutes after the McCanns discovered Madeleine gone

“Mafia threats for woman who ‘spotted’ Madeleine” – Naoual Malhi says she saw Madeleine. She claims a man told her: “Let this lie if you know what’s good for you, your daughter and the rest of your family.” Says she: “I’m not frightened by the Mafia”

DAILY MAIL page 19: “Police ‘looked on a Madeleine crime scene was trampled’”

The two officers have 35 years experience between them
“’DEATH THREATS’ FOR WITNESS” – Naoual Malhi says: “I know the girl I saw getting into that taxi was her and I’m not going to stop until I find her”

Says Chakib Benmoussa, Morocco’s interior minister: “We have no new evidence suggesting such a presence in Morocco”

A reward remains on the table

DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE DEATH THREAT TERROR – “Shock new development in hunt”

Page 7: “MADDIE PARENTS WERE STRANGE & JUMPY SAY COPS”

Says Officer A: “The mother say she knew straight away the girl had been taken, so why wait 40 minutes to call us”

“Witness death threat” – Naoual Malhi is in the papers. Says she: “They warned me I’m going to be killed next time I step on Moroccan soil unless I shut up about Madeleine”

THE SUN page 15: “MADDIE COPS: WE LOST IT IN 1ST HOUR”

Say the two policemen of the crime scene: “Civilians – family, friends, neighbours, staff, people off the street – everyone was in and out of the bedroom to check under the bed. The damage had been done”

THE TIMES page 4: “Girls seen in Morocco is not Madeleine”

Abdelmajid Chadili, the head of Morocco’s judicial police, says: “In the case of Fnideq, we did find a small blonde girl. We found she was among her true parents and I can tell you she only speaks Arabic”

Naoual Malhi saw ‘Madeleine in this town

Mr Chadili goes on: “In a far away country, some people think it’s not possible that a small blonde girl can be Moroccan. But it’s true, we have children with blonde hair”

IN AMERICA (The Daily News, Texas): “Investigators haven’t formally ruled out the possibility that Baby Grace is Madeline McCann, the 4-year-old British girl who went missing from her parent’s Portuguese hotel room in May”

DAILY TELEGRAPH, THE INDEPENDENT and THE GUARDIAN: No Madeleine news today

Can you please answer my question?
    Does Bulldump work for Anorak?
    ++++++++++++++++++++
Oh please! This is an anonymous internet forum, no one knows who anyone is in here, which is probably just as well!

Even if Mods and Admins answer your question how on earth would you know there are telling the truth? If you want to know who you are debating with I’m sure there are plenty of face to face locations you could debate. Try a local pub for instance.

While I write, I feel I must ‘out’ you with the rest of our fellow posters. I have incontrovertible evidence that Alexis may in fact not be female and could possibly be a hairy ars*d builder from Deptford who is down on his luck and needs to earn a crust to support his alleged penchant for consuming vast quantities of Ben and Gerry’s Rum and Raisin ice cream. The Comical One was only to happy to provide financial assistance.

I on the hand can positively confirm that I am not a cross dressing lady boy with a penchant for pink tutus and French Maid outfits. Rumours of any similarities to donkeys and making the Duracell Bunny look feeble are sadly a gross exaggeration.

Now, please spend the rest of your life trying to prove/disprove the above.

  6. 6 Peter O Says:

New day, new theory… (well actually I posted this late yesterday.. 1513 Peter O Says:

What if Madeleine wasn’t abducted by a complete stranger(s)? What if the McCann’s really weren’t involved? What if all they are really ‘guilty’ of is the most appallingly contrived alibi fabrication in criminal history just so as to avoid themselves carrying the can for their er ‘lax’ baby sitting service? What if someone in a position of ‘trust’ with the McCann’s did/was able to enter the apartment for whatever reason? Someone(s) who would not be suspicious if found in or near the apartment?

Could they have had time for an accident to have occurred, be cleared up and the body stored somewhere temporarily?

Wouldn’t that person(s) then be only too willing to go along with any plea by the McCann’s to concoct a set of alibi’s that proved the children were checked regularly? Hence creating the circumstances for the alleged ‘pact of silence’, but just not for the reasons the McCann’s think they needed the alibi?

    Just a thought.

  7. 7 Teddy Boy Says:

Nice balanced programme on ITV last night don’t you think?
They trotted out all the usual celebrity ‘rent a quotes’ to tell us all what bastards we are.
Seem to remember it was TV that gave air time to Paul Dyson and John Tanner who subsequently turned out to have murdered their partners - so their track record of backing a winner is suspect.

Teddy Boy - i missed the programme last night on ITV, can you tell me more about it please?

  10. 10 judgenotlestyebejudged Says:

the program was basically saying anyone who speculated about the case was hurting the feelings of team mccann, failing to notice the fact that they are suspects in their own daughter’s disappearance and mising the fact that it is their PR campaign that has sparked it all off. genius.

  11. 11 just_me Says:

10 - judgenotlestyebejudged - thanks, just as I expected then. It annoys me that nobody seems to front the McCanns with the questions we all want asked., its always sympathy for the McCanns or nothing on TV.

  12. 12 SteveT Says:

How long, if ever, before we get a balanced program about the McCanns? Probably not until any court case.

  13. 13 Will Says:

Why would a couple wwho spend>£1500 per month on a full time nanny, plus nursery fees (approx £800/month full time), book a holiday in a child friendly resort, use the daily crech facilities provided and THEN decide that they do NOT require childcare in the evenings.

IMO it just does not add up.

You didn’t miss much, basically we were being told we’re all evil and will burn in hell because we suspect foul play by the McCanns. I can’t believe a respected person such as Sir Trevor would allow such one sided crap to be broadcast with his name associated with it. My girlfriend still can’t understand why I start foaming at the mouth and resemble an extra from 28 days later every time gerry’s squeaky stupid fu**head voice pipes up, but then again she thinks they’re innocent, the fool!!!!!!!!

Well to be fair…hold on, why do we need to be fair?

Forget it, was jsut going to defend the dear old Mccanns, but they have enough defence!

The court case, should there ever be one will be the legal equivalent of the battle for Stalingrad, I hope the PJ are the Russians in this one.

And further this went on nightly! No, no, no. It does not add up at all. The McCanns have lied about everything else, and I think they are lying about the children being left alone. There WERE adults at the apartment. But if so WHY must the McCanns keep this fact hidden at all costs?

A while ago the police announced that they were looking for volunteer Britons who had been holidaying there to submit their DNA. The McCanns regarded this as confirmation of the abduction theory, but likely the police were looking to eliminate possibilities in pinning down what OTHER adults (beside Murat/Tapas9 had been in the apartment recently. We never did hear anything about that part of the investigation… how many volunteers did they get?

  22. 22 soothsayer Says:

the reason these two alleged officers are unidentified is quite simply that they do not exist, another crock of shit from the british press.how hard do you think that it would be for the alleged officers superiors to find out who they were, given that the brit press has given almost a timetable of their alleged arrival,we are to believe they would risk jail to slag of their superiors to the brit rags i think not.

    —————————————
Yeah, the damage had been done BY THE MCCANNS, who waited 40 minutes before calling the police and in the meantime invited “half of Luz” into the apartment, despite Kate’s knowing “right away” that Madeleine had been abducted.

Now, if Kate knew it was an abduction, why did she stand by while half the town was ruining the forensics on the scene, making it more difficult to find evidence of who had been in the apartment prior to the disappearance?

Were the McCanns just naive and panicking? Or were they deliberately obstructing justice right from the start?

  24. 24 coolandcalm Says:

    Noseycow…. re: childcare expenses.

can I ask where you live?

I have friends with nannies and (outside of London) a full-time nanny would cost only half that and the McCanns said they had a nanny two days a week, and playschool (where Madeleine went) is around £15 a session. She wasn’t in a nursery per se. Just an ordinary playschool… Both mine went to playschool from age two and a half around (out of nappies was the criteria then) and I never had any money then.

My friends full-time nanny (8.30 - 5.00) costs her £230 per week + car+ expenses. She sleeps out but does babysit at night for which she gets paid extra.
I would imagine leicester is cheaper than where I live within commuting distance of London.

Or, they do exist, but the British press just invented most of the stuff attributed to them.

As for the skeletal frame of their account… it’s hard to blame the police for what happened in the apartment during the 40 minutes they had not been called by the McCanns. Incidentally, when did the McCanns place their call to SKY News?

  28. 28 coolandcalm Says:

    Ben….

I said I was in Ireland at that time.. which I was. North and South……
I travel a lot for work and pleasure..
Off to New York in January to freeze then Central America at the end of Feb for sun.

Just a note…. I don’t lie so there’s no need to try and catch me out!

  29. 29 Patch Says:

Last night’s tv programme was so biased, it had me shouting at the screen. Not once was there any mention of DNA, forensics, sniffer dogs, lies regarding evidence. The entire programme was that the McCanns are totally innocent and anyone who says otherwise is sick and should see a psychiatrist. Shameful. Yesterday on anorak, there were so many abusive pro McCanns that sensible debate became impossible. Seemed to be a barrage of foul name calling. Today I have a massive migraine so will be popping in and out. Won’t bother if the likes of Kris, Sandra, ALEXIS, Garth etc are around.

  30. 30 Ben again Says:

I wasn’t implying that you were telling a lie, just curious as stated in my query.
    Thanks for clearing that up.
