Madeleine McCann: We Love To Watch, A Link To Hillary Clinton And A New Witness

kate_gerry_mccann Madeleine McCann: We Love To Watch, A Link To Hillary Clinton And A New WitnessMADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann

DAILY MIRROR front page: “SIGHTING SENSATION – I saw Maddy & Murat girl”

Page 9: “’I saw Maddy and Murat’s girl in Morocco’”

Isabel Gonzalez is back. It was Isabel Gonzalez who told the world she had seen Madeleine McCann in Morocco. Now she says: “I’ve always been sure the girl I saw was Madeleine and now I’m sure the blonde woman I saw was Murat’s girlfriend” – Michaela Walczuch

She told the police. And now she has told the McCanns’ private detectives

Says Clarence Mitchell: “We’re keeping an open mind”

Says Michaela Walczuch: “These claims are so bizarre I have no comment”

THE SUN front page: “Maddie ‘seen in gang’s clutches’”

A trucker says he saw a blonde woman handing a child wrapped in a blanket to a man in Silves, 25 miles from Praia da Luz

He has told the McCanns’ private detectives of what he saw back on May 5

Page 9: “Is this where Maddie was handed to paedos?”

Says a source: “The detectives are working on the theory Madeleine was identified as an easy target, stolen to order and then handed over to a paedophile gang. Because of all the publicity she became too dangerous to keep – and was passed on or sold. The detectives believe she was taken to North Africa, either on a boat from Portugal or via Spain on a ferry to Tangier. They believe they can find the vehicle seen in Silves. It’s an unusual make and colour in Portugal”

And news from “Isabel” Gonzalez

“TAPAS 7 TO BE QUIZZED SOON” – “COPS plan to re-question the Tapas Seven within days in a bid to break their “pact of silence”, reports Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias

DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – I SAW HER WITH MURAT’S GIRL IN MOROCCO. Witness’s sensational claim”

Isabel Gonzalez is 60. She is a Spanish mother of six”.

They see Madeleine in the Moroccan town of Zaio. They return to look for her. Says Senora Gonzalez: “It was then that I saw the European-looking couple. It was a blonde woman and a very pale-skinned man with dark hair. They seemed completely out of place as the town is very remote and everyone else there was Moroccan.”

She adds: “After seeing the news reports I am convinced the woman was Murat’s girlfriend. I never saw the blonde woman with Madeleine but I have always connected the two events”

Such is the Express’ front-page news

Page 7: “Gang smuggled Madeleine” - A truck driver sees child in a blanket. A source at the McCanns’ detective agency says: “The witness later identified the woman as Michaela Walczuch after he was shown some pictures. He phoned us with his report about two to three weeks ago…We think it could have been the moment Madeleine was handed over by the original kidnappers”

“Child neglect prosecution fails” – Anthony Bennett’s request that the McCanns’ be sued for child neglect has failed

DAILY MAIL front page: “MADELEINE – the suspect, his girlfriend and an intriguing new sighting in Morocco”

Pages 10-11: “Maddie and the suspects’ lover - ‘I saw Murat’s girl in same place as child says witness”

Isabel Gonzalez says she is “sure” a blonde woman she saw on June 15 was 34-year-old Michaela Walczuch

Gonzalez “described how she saw a little blonde girl being dragged across a street and thought immediately: ‘That’s Madeleine.’ The child was with an older woman in a Muslim headscarf, who was walking fast and trying to hide her face from passing cars. Mrs Gonzalez said the girl’s floppy hat was blown back by a gust of wind to reveal her face, She looked ‘very sad and scared’”

A dark-skinned Muslim woman with a blonde child? Like this one?

“Tawdry tangle of Brit and blonde who preached Jehovah” – Miss Walczuch “reportedly spent some weekends knocking on doors in search of potential Jehovah’s Witness converts, while Murat said he was studying to join the movement”

“LAWYER’S NEGLECT CASE IS THROWN OUT” – Anorak reader Anthony Bennett’s petition to have the McCanns’ charged with child neglect is thrown out after a district judge court ruled that a British court could not have jurisdiction over something that happened in Portugal

DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE: CHARGE THE PARENTS – Brits want McCanns in the dock”

In a Daily Star phone poll yesterday, 86% said Kate and her husband Gerry, both 39, should be charged with child neglect

What good can be gained from charging the McCanns?

Page 11: “Big to crack 7 pals ‘secret’” – The Tapas 7 might be interviewed by police

DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Madeleine McCann ‘given to child trafficker’”

Speaking about the claims that a woman had been seen with Madeleine, Clarence Mitchell says: “This is only one line of investigation that is being explored. The witness who claims to have seen Madeleine being transferred (on May 5) was thoroughly interviewed face to face by an investigator from Metodo 3 and was deemed to be a credible witness”

THE TIMES: “Coming soon: fab females in distress - Whether it’s Hillary, Meredith, Madeleine or Paula, we love to watch women suffer. They do it so beautifully”

We love to watch Madeleine McCann suffer?

Says Helen Rumbelow, watching Hillary Clinton: “Violence against women, although in this case entirely conducted through political metaphor, has the thrill of any great taboo, where our conscious disapproval vies with our unconscious fascination”

Hillary Clinton linked to Madeleine McCann…

“Madeleine and Meredith [Kercher – murdered in Italy] make for a dolorous pair: an abducted girl, and an attractive, murdered young woman. In the McCann case the theme of benighted femininity is only amplified by the public anguish of Kate McCann, who, for the past half year has served as our beautiful, empty-handed pieta”

Is the Times featuring A-level essays on feminism and the media?

THE GUARDIAN: “McCann special boosts Panorama ratings”

The McCanns are entertainment

“The public’s enduring fascination with the Madeleine McCann case boosted BBC1’s flagship current affairs programme Panorama last night by 3 million viewers…The show narrowed the gap with ITV1’s reality show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!”

THE INDEPENDENT: No Madeleine news

McConns media machine appears to be on a repeat cycle. They’ve run out of storylines, so they just retread old ones like the current line, with a different location, or sex of “kidnapper”

Regardless of all the bollox they are spreading about the day of disappearnce, I’d really like to know what they did with the kids on all the previous nights

My kids were 15 and 13 before left them alone in the house for an hour. THe McConns must be insane to leave a 3 year old and 2 2years alone for a second, let alone a night

  7. 7 weeblondie Says:

    morning all

what concerns me are the statements from this Metodo 3, whether true or false.
If the agency was really 100% convinced she was alive and were “closing in on her abductors”, haven’t they, in affect, sealed her fate???
IF (and it’s a big IF) she has been kidnapped and is being held alive, surely the news that her abductors will soon be caught, will panic them into getting her off their hands as soon as possible?? i.e kill her or pass her onto another paedophile?

I’m also getting sick and tired of these daily “sightings” of Maddie. It’s all bollocks. Amazing how in August they allegedly saw her “being dragged across a road” but didn’t come forward and say anything to the press, the police, whoever.
Yet the minute the press print a picture of Murat’s girlfriend, suddenly they’re all adamant it was her they saw with Maddie and are screaming “kidnap” and pointing the finger (especially the picture of Isobel Gonzales in the Sun today, pointing to the spot in the street she alleged she saw her - what a joke, so bloody staged!!)
They are ghoulish attention-seekers who want to jump on the Madeleine bandwagon and should be treated that way and for what they are. The police aren’t questioning them, only this so-called Metodo 3, which means it’s all horses***!!

  8. 8 noseycow Says:

    morning all

weeblondie - you are right - this Ms Gonzales - who saw Maddie in Morocco months ago - I believe it was investigated at the time and found not to be Madeleine, suddenly remembers that she saw a blonde woman and a dark man in Morocco - so that MUST have been Murat’s girlfriend, and even though she NEVER SAW THEM WITH A CHILD - they must have kidnapped Maddie and taken her to Morocco.

On this story she gets TWO front pages - what is the press coming to?

I saw a blonde woman, with a blonde child at my kids school yesterday - should I phone this hotline?

Your thoughts on the publicity are spot on - IF these sightings are true then lets tell the world so that the kidnappers can dump poor little Maddie (dead or alive) and we’ll never find her…

    A shame about Tony Bennett’s case …

  9. 9 weeblondie Says:

noseycow - thanks for agreeing with me. And you’re right, it was the same Ms Gonzales whose alleged sighting was investigated and it turned out NOT to be Maddie. Are the Sun that desperate for Maddie stories that they have to re-hash old ones, even though we all know it’s bollox.
I wonder if Ms Gonzales gets up every morning and goes on the hunt for small blond children being led by the hand by blonde women and dark men!! If I was a newspaper editor, I wouldn’t give her the time of day!

MIKE HITCHEN ON THE FAILED APPLICATION FOR A SUMMONS ALLEGING CHILD NEGLECT

Just received this, this morning, from Mike Hitchen, who runs the McCann-sceptic blog in Australia at ‘I On Global Trends’:

    QUOTE

    Hi Anthony

My apology for not responding sooner, but the blog has come under a sustained and systematic attack, mostly from Doncaster and Southend.

Anthony, although their supporters will no doubt view this as some sort of defeat, I and many others see it as a fallen tree branch causing a change of direction.

Just let me know if I can be of assistance in future,

    Kind regards

    Mike Hitchen

REPLY: In the last two days I have had ‘phone calls from a lady who was out in Praia da Luz in June, saying that it was the talk of the village that the sounds of crying and screaming of young children during the evening was being heard coming from within Apartments 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d. So it wasn’t just Mrs Pamela Fenn who heard this. She says she learnt this by talking to local English-speaking residents and business people in Praia

  15. 15 Ian Says:

    5 Pam

I’d go quickly to the nearest medical centre and ask for help. To be proud about getting on an internet site (in any ‘rank’) is worrying, to be proud to be a supporter of two people guilty of neglect (though the system fails Maddie in that they cannot be punished - wonder how the twins will feel about it when they are older) and suspect in the illigal disposal of her mortal remains, is extremely worrying. Putting the two together, seriously, you need help and may not be aware of it.

    Gerry’s Blog/Diary

    Day 201 - 20/11/2007

Yesterday marked 200 days that Madeleine has been missing. Last night saw the screening on the BBC of one of three documentaries about what happened to Madeleine, the others having already been shown in North America and Portugal over the weekend. These programmes have been useful in going over many of the facts and, I believe, emphasising that Madeleine was abducted and is still out there somewhere.

The “I believe” is a nice addition, what next , allegedly, IMO, IMHO????

I saw the BBC documentary and was wondering if the other two were much the same ? Anyone see the other two ?

  17. 17 Ian Says:

14 I hope that these people have spoken to the police.

The awful tragedy of all this is this ludicrous situation where UK citizenship is protecting child neglect and the alleged neglectors are claiming they are fighting for the protection (more accurately fighting for the recovery of ) children.

Its easy to see why people descend into despair - this ‘New Labour’ party has a great deal to answer for - selling out its roots and heading toward a police state.

  18. 18 noseycow Says:

11 Tony - sorry to hear of the fate of your legal action against the McCanns - on what basis did the Judge decide that it can not be heard in the British courts? Have you got a plan to file it in Portugal?

Sorry if you’ve answered these before - I’ve been on long shifts for the last few days and not had a chance to read anorak.

Not only is what you say true, Metodo3 detectives themselves acknowledged according to the article:

“The detectives are working on the theory Madeleine was identified as an easy target, stolen to order and then handed over to a paedophile gang. Because of all the publicity she became too dangerous to keep – and was passed on or sold. The detectives believe she was taken to North Africa, either on a boat from Portugal or via Spain on a ferry to Tangier. ”

Their own theory has it that publicity caused Madeleine to “become too dangerous” and yet what are they doing now? — announcing that they are closing in on the kidnappers! This is a dark and pathetic comedy.

Gonzales’ “sighting” of the girl was on May 5, and according to the article, she then went back on June 15 to look again. She did not find the girl, but found a blonde adult. Supposedly she just intuitively sensed that there was a connection. Even though the girl was shown NOT to be Madeleine, Team McCann trots this story out again, just to bring in Murat’s girlfriend again.

I would think Clarence Mitchell has committed some kind of crime in all this. Maybe Tony Bennett can ask the court to prosecute him?

  20. 20 Wanderer Says:

Pam is welcome to believe what she wants until she is proven wrong on y and z (I believe x is typically viewed as wrong or in the ‘guilty’ frame).

I don’t really feel anyone should be proud over another person here, as the majority do want to know what happened to Madeleine, which should be quite the equalizer.

Anyway, as long as she doesn’t claim to be a Russian virgin, as we have two members vying for that already. (tongue in cheek, Peter! Although I do hope the plane tickets arrived…)

Tony, I’m sorry to hear about your case. Best of luck with any other facets of that action you’re pursuing.

Matty, I’m not sure. I’ve seen the American one and heard about the one in the UK. They all seem to be biased to be honest, the American one did touch on the parents but the reporter, when the suggestion of the parents came up, revealed some disbelief in his actions and I do believe words. Other information was that this detective didn’t believe the McCanns were checking on the kids as often as they said they were (if at all), and there was a recap of the computerized reenactment.

  21. 21 Chloe Spain Says:

    12 Matty

If it is, how very sad. Reading the circumstances and looking at the photo, it kind of rings true to me.

  22. 22 hannasus Says:

A failed society is where the family unit no longer has any strength.
By allowing this couple to get away with child neglect is an open invitation for all other parents to neglect their children.
That way crime is on the increase, morality descends and the spiral into dysfunction is well under way.
I am all for civil disobedience in cases like this.
How on earth can they get away with it?????????????????????????????????

The only thing the Mccanns are guilty of at this stage is leaving there children alone and I do not condone this. The rest is SPECULATION and there is no evidence at all to suggest otherwise. No I wont be going to my nearest medical centre for help, but have made an appt for you!!!!

This fits in with my suspicion/speculation that the children were being abused at this time, while the McCanns and Tapas7 were out drinking. They did not need to check on the children, because they knew very well who was “taking care” of them. I wonder if anyone heard any adult voices telling the children to “shut up”, etc.

Or, it could be that the children were not then being sexually abused, but were indeed left unattended. Perhaps the Tapas9 regard children like some people regard dogs — a little yapping and barking being natural.

  26. 26 Julie Says:

Pam, there is absolutely nothing speculative about the FACT that the McCann’s contributed directly towards the “misplacement” of Madeleine! And for this mere fact alone, they should be punished … but they seem to be above the law, for some strange reason (IMHO)

  27. 27 noseycow Says:

    17 - Ian and 22 hannasus

I don’t think the Labour Party are wholly to blame - I firmly put the blame on the British Media (more specifically the tabloid press).

It started during the Thatcher years when they built her up to be some sort of Demi God and then knocked her down, unfortunatley the politicians at the time jumped on the bandwagon and gave the press some credence. The press have repeated this policy bringing the conservative governement down, and putting Tony Blair into power, then treating that Government the same way as the previous one.

It has given them (the press) too much power and they now effectively direct government policy - each time they print a scandle about - schools, hospitals, immigration, the british ’sick note’ culture, the youth ‘gun/knife culture’ some sap of a politician comes up with a new policy to grab the headlines. These policies are screwing our society - they are not well thought through and changes are not given the time to have an effect before the next change occurs.

Politicians should go on a change management course and have the guts to ride the storm of the press - and only react when it is necessary for the country and not their careers.

You have to agree that the McC press coverage has not been inpartial or investigative in ANY of the papers, and this is true on all their printed ‘STORIES’.

  28. 28 Chloe Spain Says:

    25 Hideki

To play devil’s advocate for a moment (since I certainly do not believe in the abduction theory), it could be argued that an opportunistic abductor had heard all the noise and realised that there were unattended children there.

    24
    pam Says:

“The only thing the Mccanns are guilty of at this stage is leaving there children alone and I do not condone this. The rest is SPECULATION…”

There is nothing speculative about the fact that Gerry has lied (exposed on a TV program), the Tapas9 testimony is filled with contradiction, the McCanns refused to answer 40 questions, etc etc.

That an abduction took place is speculation — with absolutely no basis in fact or evidence.

  30. 30 Ian Says:

24 Pam - ys I’d better prepare them for you. Thanks, now sit down in a darkened room, ask your mum to make sure there are not sharp edges.

Made me chuckle - the bit about ‘all they did’….I have a few times tried to imagine leaving my own three little tots in their own bedroom and going across to spend a half hour with a friend who lives the same kind of distance from our house as the bar the McCanns went to.

I imagine leaving the doors unlocked. But locked or unlocked, even in my imagination I am running back inside and thinking ‘oh my god, I cantleave them like that!

Its why people in the living room with a baby upstairs have a monitor and still go check baby every five minutes! Its called ‘worrying about the childrens welfare and safety’ - a concept REAL loving families understand.

So dont say to me ‘all they did’. Is it not enough for you? They caused this situation - its not in their imagination or my imagination or your imagination - they are, in the opinion of probably the majority of parents, unfit to be parents - they should never practice as doctors as their judgement is suspect.

To be ‘pro-McCann’, is an odd tribal thing to be anyway.
