Madeleine McCann: Metodo 3 Think, Daily Express Write The Book And Robert Murat Smears
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MIRROR page 5: “The private detectives have a theory: Madeleine was “snatched” to order and is alive in the “perfect” hideout. She’s in Morocco
Says Metodo 3 spokesman Francisco Marco PI: “We’re following the trail. Morocco is the perfect place to hide a kidnapped girl. There are a number of networks there dedicated to trafficking children”
What clues? What evidence?
Marita Fernandez, founder of the agency, says: “We think Murat knows more than he said, Madeleine could be living in Morocco”
Could be? Truth or Phooey?
She goes on: “I played the devil’s advocate and asked them [McCanns] terrible things to see their reactions.” Kate cried. “As a mother and grandmother it strikes me as impossible that a woman who has had artificial insemination to have children and who loves her youngsters in this way could have done anything bad to Madeleine”
A woman’s intuition, eh? Good to hear the PIs are making progress…
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE
* The NEW BOOK That everyone’s been waiting for
* Just what DID happen the night she disappeared?
* What’s the truth about the mysterious sightings of her
* And who do the police really think is responsible
ALL THIS WEEK, ONLY IN THE DAILY EXPRESS, WE REVEAL THE EXTRAORDINARY FACTS BEHIND THE STORY THAT HAS INTRIGUED AND MYSTIFIED THE WORLD”
Fact 1: Madeleine McCann in missing
Fact 2. Madeleine McCann is still missing
Fact 3: Etc.
Page 5: “I SAW MAN LIKE MURAT TRY TO KIDNAP A CHILD” – British nanny at the Ocean Club resort has told police that she caught an intruder, who looked like Robert Murat, trying to climb through the ground floor window while a baby slept inside
“MADELEINE: MCCANNS ‘SPOILED CRUCIAL EVIDENCE’”- Says a Portuguese policeman: “When we arrived at the scene, it was as if there had been an earthquake in the apartment. Everything had been turned over and there were more than 10 people there touching everything. How could the evidence not be contaminated? Of course, we isolated the scene, but a great deal had already been touched”
Pages 30-32: “Madeleine: A Most Heartbreaking And Extraordinary Disappearance, by Robert Downing. It’s published by Northern & Shell, who own the Daily Express. Buy now for Christmas
DAILY MAIL front page: “MADDIE: Police believed McCanns sold her”
Page 5: “Police ‘asked is parents sold Maddie top perverts’” – So says a Portuguese policeman
“THERE’LL BE PRESENTS FOR HER THIS CHRISTMAS” – Says Kate McCann’s father Brian Healy: “We will all buy her a present and they will be under the tree waiting for he when she comes home”
“Team McCann smearing Murat, say friends” – A friend of Michaela Walczuch and Robert Murat calls for an end to the “continuous unfounded attacks”. The woman has been pushed “to the brink of despair”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE MUM ‘SOLD HER’ – McCann outrage at cops’ claim”
It is an EXCLUSIVE (see Daily Mail)
Page 10: “Says Clarence Mitchell: “The suggestion that Kate and Gerry somehow have sold off their beloved daughter takes the ludicrous allegations circulating around this case to a new level of lunacy. It is laughable to even suggest it. Kate and Gerry understand the police must consider all possibilities – no matter how apparently implausible – in order to eliminate them. But if they have considered this for more than a nano-second then they have wasted their time. It is, of course, entirely untrue. Madeleine was abducted”
THE SUN page 15: “MURAT’S FURY – Maddie suspect pleads: Stop smear campaign”
Says a “pal” of Murat: “These continuous unfounded attacks are taking the focus away from the areas that should be investigated. I would think someone from the McCann camp would want to put a stop to it”
Indeed. We should stick to the facts…
“Yesterday it was claimed six months before Maddie vanished a man matching Murat’s description tried to get into the same apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal”
Oh…
“Meanwhile Brit Murat’s German-born girlfriend Michaela Walczuch was said to have had her alibi shattered by revelations she was NOT at a Jehovah’s Witness meeting in Lagos”
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 15: “Murat urges Madeleine McCann’s family to stop smears”
Robert Murat and what the nanny saw… What of that? Says a source: “Robert went to the UK at the end of October and remained there until January of this year”
Says Brian Healy: “It really would be a miracle and we would appeal to parents to think about Maddie at this time of the year and help us to bring her home in time for Christmas”

Good morning.

“It emerged the Portuguese are sending a scientific team to the UK to conduct their own analysis of DNA evidence taken from the McCanns’ holiday apartment and their hire car.
Forensic officers from the Policia Judiciaria are to travel to the Birmingham lab to be taken through what the British team has already done and to be given access to the samples to carry out their own tests.”

Let’s hope this is right.

So Murat arranged for M to be shipped to Morocco. Shame on you McCanns!

If true, I think that they just want to discuss the interpretations of the results to ensure that there are no misunderstandings. I dont think they will take a DIY DNA test kit with them.

“It seems to be open season on a young mother and Robert thinks someone from the McCann camp should put a stop to it. It’s about time someone did.”
Wonder if this is a veiled threat that, otherwise, he might just spill the beans about his connections with the McCanns??

I’m bored with this shit.
I’ve reached a point where I don’t care if she’s alive, I don’t care whether her revolting parents live or die, I don’t care if their friends and family are the biggest bunch of cunts on earth , I don’t care if Murat and his girlfriend abducted and ate her and I don’t care whether the Potuguese police are the best or worst on earth - I just want it to stop.
Why, every morning when I open up my paper, must I be greeted with pictures of the pinch faced Gerry McCann and his anorexic drug riddled whore?
I want it to end - now.

“THERE’LL BE PRESENTS FOR HER THIS CHRISTMAS” – Says Kate McCann’s father Brian Healy: “We will all buy her a present and they will be under the tree waiting for he when she comes home”
**********************************************
In the name of sanity, what do they expect to “come home ” ? do they imagine she will trip gaily through the door, make a beeline for the presents and start playing with a new “Cuddle Cat” as if nothing had happened ? at best it will be something so pale, haggard and traumatised that it will need a life-time of counselling and at worst it will be something unimaginable in a body bag…denial or what ? and please,, no-one give me the “..we live in hopes ” scenario, all hope has now well and truly gone and even the Police are admitting that they are now looking for a body.

Kates grandad (according to the Daily Mail) says…
“Maddie loves this time of year and on the big day her face really does light up like a Christmas tree beaming with the most amazing smiles and excitement.
“I will never forget how happy the whole family was last year as we watched the three children play so blissfully together.
“Watching her open her presents was so special. She got a pink Barbie doll because that is her favourite colour.
Clarence, according to Sky, says …
Reports in a national newspaper claimed the family would leave presents for her under the Christmas tree in the hope she would be home in time to unwrap them.
But their spokesman Clarence Mitchell dismissed the claims as “emotional guff”.
He said: “We haven’t finalised plans for Christmas. We will speak about Christmas when the time is right.
“Christmas will just be another day for Kate and Gerry. Let’s get Madeleine home first - and then we can talk about Christmas.
Cuddle cat: Madeleine’s favourite toy”At the moment Kate and Gerry live from day to day, and one day isn’t different from any other.”
He added: “If she’s still missing at Christmas, then of course it’s going to be an emotional time for them.”
The Sunday People quoted Madeleine’s grandfather Brian Healy as saying the family are convinced she is still alive and are hoping for the ultimate Christmas miracle.
So if the quotes are true, Clarence is having a go at Kates grandad? Well well. Could it be that Clarence has a timetable for the Christmas spin? I think he should be removed, a normal family doesnt need ‘a spokesman’.

I know what you mean, but this was from her grandad.
I think the intersting thing here is that Kates parents speak seperately from the Clarence spin machine.

Doping: Banned substances
Positive test
Ben Johnson guilty of taking steroids - twice
Dr McCann said: “It a positive test is found two things are likely to have happened. Either the athlete has taken a banned substance by mistake in an over-the-counter medicine, or they have taken a substance which they could only have got hold of illegally.
“If the later is the case then they have either taken it knowingly, or somebody has given it to them without their knowledge. However, quite a lot of these substances have to be taken by injection so it is very unlikely that they will know nothing about it.”

“Excellent analysis of how the ‘abductor’ entered and left the LOCKED apartment. Could certainly agree with this.”
If MW staff were involved, then the abductor could have had a key to the appartment. She could have opened the window to make it appear that she came this way, because otherwise suspicion would have fallen immediately on those of the MW staff who had access to the key, amongst them her accomplice (or even herself).

Dr Matthew Oldfield
Dr Matthew Oldfield, husband of Rachael Oldfield, is alleged to have checked on the McCann’s children at 9.30pm. However, he is reported to have since admitted that he did not actually see Madeleine in her bed but assumed she was there because he couldn’t hear any noise.
Dr Oldfield is an endocrinologist who works at Kingston Hospital in Surrey. He previously worked with Gerry in Leicester before moving to London with his wife.
Rachael Oldfield
Rachael Oldfield, wife of Dr Matthew Oldfield, does not appear to have taken part in any of the alleged checks that took place on the night of May 3rd.
She is one of the 3 Tapas group members (with Dr Russell O’Brien and Dr Fiona Payne) who were recalled by the Portugese police to clear up queries in their statements and ‘confront’ Robert Murat.
Mrs Oldfield is an ex Corporate Tax Lawyer. Admitted as a solicitor in November 1996. With Richards Butler for 6 years and Blake Dawson Waldron, Melbourne for 18 months. Spent time in retail and Polo Ralph Lauren and John Lewis before working as a recruitment consultant.
The Oldfield’s have a 22 month-old daughter (at May 2007).

Morning all. Has it been confirmed that the portuguese are going to b’ham? i saw reports in british and portuguese papers but don’t really know what to think of it.
If it’s true that they are sending DNA experts from Portugal to B’Ham… (BIG IF), then I think this is something very significant.
The portuguese are certainly not going to b’ham to “carry out their own tests on the DNA samples”. That’s a rather absurd explanation. B’ham is supposed to be the top lab in the world. If the portuguese are going there to carry out their own tests, they’ll carry out these tests in their labs with their technicians…
Secondly, it would ethically (if not diplomatically) very insulting to send portuguese experts to go and check if the british experts did a good job in B’ham. Sorry, that doesn’t add up. It’s… what’s the word?… “LUDICROUS”.
On the other hand, if there are indeed dna experts traveling from portugal to the UK to meet with B’ham lab experts, then IMO it suggests that there is something in the results that will allow charges to be brought against someone. Since these analysis have been carried out in the UK, it may be necessary that they are validated and defended in a portuguese court by portuguesed dna experts.
IMO ths is the most likely explanation for any portuguese dna experts going to the UK (if that is indeed true).

Did you notice that oldfields baby was left on her own?
also when the timelines been drawn they say checks on the kids took
5 mins , surely if they checked two or more apartments it would add on at least 3 or 4 minutes?

“The Oldfield’s have a 22 month-old daughter (at May 2007). Was this child left on her own?”
Don’t be silly! Madeleine was babysitting that one as well!!
Beggars belief doesn’t it? I think they should all be charged with child neglect. The only good thing to come out of this whole sordid affair is that it’s put paid to any future get togethers of this selfish group, where they just abandon their children. They’ll be watched like hawks wherever they go.

Mods and Admin
One of the couples did have a baby sitter, can’t remember who though, another couple had the MW listening service, which I understand had a listening device with them. According to Diane Webster each family made their own arrangements and did NOT check on each others children.

22 Sherlock Says:
“Since these analysis have been carried out in the UK, it may be necessary that they are validated and defended in a portuguese court by portuguesed dna experts.”
It may also be possible that the UK experts have had some new ideas, e. g. a refined scientific method that is not well established so far. This could IMO also be an explanation for the “delay”. A new method would have to be validated by independent colleagues before being accepted, as well it would be helpful to discuss new ideas with independent colleagues.
