Madeleine McCann: And Another Thing Gordon Brown, Stephen Winyard Says And Christmas
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE PEOPLE: “Madeleine probe hit by delays”
Eight months of looking and now this headline..?
“Police plans to quiz Maddie McCann’s parents again look set to be delayed until after Christmas” – who works over Christmas?
STAR ON SUNDAY: “MCCANN QUIZMAS”
“Kate and Gerry McCann fear Portuguese police could turn up on their doorstep on Christmas Day” – They should read The People and stop worrying about “dithering Algarve detectives”; the tabloid press’s not-so-wise men
Says a source close to the couple: “They’re desperate for their first Christmas without Madeleine to be an intimate, private affair. But they’re on tenterhooks because the occasion could be gatecrashed”
Maybe their private detectives can save the day? Metodo 3 director Francisco Marco tells us: “I think it’s going very well. I am unable to say too much except that everything is very positive.” At a rate of £2,000-a-day, hard to see how things could be negative…
“MCCANNS ‘WILL BE CLEARED BY XMAS’” – so reported the Star one week ago
DAILY MAIL: “Red tape could delay questioning of McCanns until after Christmas”
“Police questioning of Gerry and Kate McCann over the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine could be delayed until after Christmas. Portuguese detectives are ready to fly to the UK and have prepared letters with questions the couple and their seven holiday friends must answer. But they are being held up by a mass of red tape”
Gerry and Kate McCann are “doctors”. Such are the facts
THE TIMES: “Brown ‘ignores’ plea by McCanns”
McCann backer Stephen Winyard, who owns a Scottish health spa, says the “shutters had gone up” after Portuguese police named Gerry and Kate McCann as suspects: “Our request to meet with ministers – the prime minister, the home secretary and the foreign secretary – has still not been met”
It was one so different with Gordon ‘Columbo’ Brown
SUNDAY HERALD: “Tycoon blasts Brown over missing Madeleine”
Stephen Winyard has also offered a £1m reward for Madeleine’s return
Says he: “”This government was elected to look after its citizens. And it’s fair to say it’s a fundamental principle of our legal system that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. With that in mind, I would really strongly urge that Gordon Brown, who has previously been really supportive, accede to our request for a meeting at ministerial level”
Will Gordon Brown meet the McCann party then look at every missing person and apparent crime?
Says Winyard: “Both Gerry and Kate have been through an absolute nightmare and they’re facing some very difficult weeks with Christmas coming up”
Gordon Brown is a politician. Such are the facts

I love this…
“Kate and Gerry McCann fear Portuguese police could turn up on their doorstep on Christmas Day”
Not -
I worry whether Maddeleine is dead
I worry whether she is hurting
I worry that she will be missing us
I worry that I will not be able to ‘fake christmas’ for the twins sake
I worry that I may not be able to crawl out from beneath my duvet - because my daughter may not be with us at christmas and how can i live with that?
December 9th, 2007 at 7:05 am

Morning Noseycow and some others
I have not been here for a while. Was sick and tired of the McC’s. needed a break of them. In my country (Holland) they have lost inetrest in Madeleine. I feel so much for the little girl. Such a great victim of neclect.
Well, maybe her parents will celebrate Xmas with the twins, but I don’t think Santa will bring them presents, exept maybe for a parenial manual how to look after toddler properly.
I am going on holiday the 20th, but one thing is for sure. I will atch my 4 year old like ahawk! I am not going to do a ‘Mc Cann’ on her. Will have some boring nights in our hotel room as a single parent, but will be worth it for her safety.
I only can hope for the sake Madeleine that the truth will come out soon.
December 9th, 2007 at 7:57 am
parential I meant. My typing is crap this morning,,,
December 9th, 2007 at 7:58 am
Well, noseycow has a point - what time do you call this Anorak? Go back to bed, you naughty boy, it’s far too early to be up.
Anyway, the skiing programme is about to begin on Channel 4, with ludicrous Nick Fellows.
December 9th, 2007 at 8:04 am
I had my coffee now, so have done some more work on my typing. Being distracted by my daughter too. Very annoying when I want to keep my head with writing. English is not my first language. My lingo is double-Dutch of course….

December 9th, 2007 at 8:39 am
Hi Noseycow
Dutch is a difficult language to learn. Especially the grammar. I lived 16 years recently in Milton Keynes. Even my Dutch is crap. That is why I call it Double Dutch…
I am going to Egypt, the Red Sea. Just to escape from the Xmas hysteria. Not that the Dutch do a lot about it.
My blonde long haired , blue eyes 4 year old needs to be watched carefully in North Africa of course. I will stay in and around the hotel. It is a Kids holiday. Lots of entertainment in the resort.
December 9th, 2007 at 8:43 am
The fact that we have a chit chat, makes it clear we covered everything concerning
Madeleine. I can’t think of anything anymore to come up with. You?
December 9th, 2007 at 8:46 am
Good morning noseycow. I did enjoy reading your soliloquy from earlier. And Dutchbird too - are you going skiing?
Well, these female professionsal skiers are beefy women aren’t they? Did you see Chemmy Alcott in the gym - she looks like a Russian weightlifter.
England have made a solid start in the second test.
How do you insert those yellow smiling face things. Does this work
December 9th, 2007 at 8:48 am

Hi Stickler
I am going to Hurgahda. Something like that. Can’t remember the word very well. Need to look it up and am too lazy. I have never been there. A holiday organised by First choice UK, they operate in Holland too.

The man in charge of the investigation knows a lot about paedophile rings AND about drug trafficking.
http://www.mccannfiles.com/id25.html
“Paulo Rebelo, an assistant national director of the Policia Judiciária (PJ), was appointed as the head of the Madeleine McCann investigation on 08/10/07, following the removal of Goncalo Amaral.
Officially his new role is the chief of the PJ criminal investigation department based in Portiamo, which covers Praia da Luz.
Rebelo made his career at the Central Directory for the Investigation of Drug Trafficking before being appointed one of four associate directors last year.
He was head of the criminal investigation department in Lisbon which uncovered the notorious ‘Casa Pia’ paedophile ring in 2002.
(Information from TimesOnline 10/10/07)”

“Quoting a police source, the daily Correio de Manha said … the paedophile network was “probably of British origin” and the kidnappers from the UK. That case was strengthened yesterday by the director of a children’s charity, Luís Villas-Boas, who stated “in 22 years I don’t know of a single kidnappping in Portugal by Portuguese.”"

Hideki that would make sense if there are no other options. Scary thought that a an innocent child would fall to victim to sick games of peodos. Even when found a live, how could a child ever get over such a trauma.
December 9th, 2007 at 9:34 am
Richard Branson, the Virgin boss
Brian Kennedy, the double-glazing tycoon
Stephen Winyard, who owns a Scottish health spa
These 3 wealthy men are the only “mystery benefactors” who continue to finance McScam. Of course, most MYSTERIOUS is why they want to help depraved child neglectors like the McCanns.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article3022476.ece
“A BUSINESSMAN helping to fund the hunt for Madeleine McCann has accused Gordon Brown and David Miliband of ignoring her parents’ plight.
Stephen Winyard, who owns a Scottish health spa, said the “shutters had gone up” after Portuguese police named Gerry and Kate McCann as suspects. He said the only offer in response to a request for a ministerial meeting was to see a junior official…
Also supporting the McCanns are Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin boss, and Brian Kennedy, the double-glazing tycoon.
Winyard said other financial supporters had backed away when the McCanns were made suspects. “There are no other mystery benefactors,” he said. ”
Interesting that he considers himself and the two others to be “mystery benefactors”.

Dutchbird Says:
“Even when found alive, how could a child ever get over such a trauma.”
Good question, but I think she was very badly traumatized long before she disappeared. She might be better off dead.
What are the odds that the twins will disappear next? I’m surprised the McCanns are allowed to have custody of them.
I wonder why the McCanns produced their test-tube babies. They seem so cold and callous, and profit-minded. Supposing the twins are “abducted” next, do you think the McCanns will then produce some more test-tube babies?
December 9th, 2007 at 9:55 am
So now ‘benefactors’ are complaining that the UK gov is NOT supporting suspects in a missing child case? A double bluff?
Isnt this guy scottish and dont they have their own government anyway? I wonder if Tony Bennet could bring a different lawsuit in scotland? Especially if Gerry gets ‘Sctosman of the Year’ he has been nominated for! Incidentally, has everyone voted for him?
December 9th, 2007 at 9:57 am
Shouldnt the phrase have been ’shutters have come down’?
Hey, I wonder if he is the mystery ‘T10′?
