Madeleine McCann: An Alternative Christmas Message From Kate and Gerry McCann
KATE and Gerry McCanns, parents to Madeleine McCann, have issued a new appeal for information and sent a video message to their daughter. It’s their Christmas message.
Channel 4 has been broadcasting an alternative to the The Queen’s Christmas Day Speech for some years. Have the McCanns missed the chance to follow in the footsteps of previous speakers Quentin Crisp, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Doreen and Neville Lawrence, Ali G, Sharon Osbourne, The Simpsons and Zimbabwe-born Khadija, a Muslim freelance teacher wearing the niqab.
Kate McCann says in the McCanns’ Christmas message: “Madeleine, it’s mummy and daddy here.
“Just know how much we love you, Madeleine. We all miss you so much…Be brave sweetheart.
“Our only Christmas wish is for you to be back with us again and we’re hoping and praying that that will happen. Love you Madeleine.”
Says Gerry McCann: “This special time of year is all about families coming together with love and peace.
“Clearly for us and the rest of our family it’s going to be the hardest Christmas imaginable without Madeleine here.”
He adds: “Since Madeleine was taken from us on May 3, someone knows what happened to her and may well know where she is now. That person has it within their power to show us the compassion to end this terrible ordeal for us.”
Notes the Telegraph: “The McCanns, who remain official suspects in Madeleine’s disappearance, have not spoken publicly about what they have bought for Madeleine for Christmas this year.”

Capital murder charges were swiftly handed down last week to the parents of the 2-year-old murder victim Riley Ann Sawyers, known as Baby Grace.
A grand jury in Galveston County took only three minutes to decide that Royce Clyde Zeigler II and Kimberly Dawn Trenor should both be charged with the crime, a much heavier charge than the previous charges of injury to a child resulting in death, and tampering with evidence.
In the capital murder charge the couple are accused of intentionally and knowingly causing the death of Riley Ann Sawyers, and allows for the maximum sentence possible in Texas — the death penalty.
The Galveston County District Attorney’s office presented evidence to the grand jury for a space of three hours last week, and offered testimony from five witnesses, including the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the medical examiner and the FBI.
Trenor and Zeigler were initially charged on Nov. 23 after Trenor gave a statement to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in which she described how the couple beat Riley with belts, held her head under water, smashed her head on the tile floor and pushed her face into the couch. After Riley died, Trenor said she and Zeigler wrapped her body in plastic bags, sealed it in a plastic storage box and eventually tossed it into Galveston Bay.
Trenor said Riley died on July 24, but the box was found by a fisherman washed ashore in late October and Trenor did not turn herself into authorities until nearly a month later.

Good morning.
But they don’t have to express this as a wish. They have been promised by Metodo 3 that she will be back in two days time. They surely are receiving weekly if not daily briefings about the people who have got her, and therefore are justified in having total confidence, otherwise they would not still be paying them.
Or have I missed something ?

I respect your views - cynical or otherwise - each to their own as it is oft said, but I am eagerly awaiting this “home by Christmas” time-line and the M3’s explanation as to why it may then be another anniversary such as Easter/St Valentine’s Day/Mother’s Day ( ..a good one ) / Father’s Day ( …even better ) /Independence Day/ Waitangi Day/ Hannukah/ my dog’s birthday …you get the picture..

Did you know …( Michael Caine impression ) whilst doing the Tesco bit on Saturday morning, I actually heard someone using the phrase “…doing a McCann” ? I would have loved to have asked in what context they were using it but no doubt it referred to maybe leaving the kids alone whilst popping down to the local hostelry for a pint or two of Christmas Cheer, little kids can be such a pain at times like these can’t they…??
