Madeleine McCann: A Paedo, A Blue Bag And The Orphans
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY MIRROR: “We want Madeleine’s toys to go to the little boys and girls who need them most - EXCLUSIVE: McCANNS HELP ORPHANS”
Kate and Gerry McCann have sent cuddly toys left for Madeleine at the now removed shrine in Leicestershire to orphans so they “give a little festive cheer to children who have nothing”
A friend says: “They were so touched with all the gifts they received for Madeleine and wanted to pass them on to other little boys and girls who need them more. Christmas will be heartbreaking for them this year. But at least they know the gifts have gone to a good home”
Happy days. And the toys “all have a label with Madeleine’s picture”. Which should give the little uns happy dreams. “Tell us about the little girl, Miss…”
TONY Parsons: “There is somthing in the story of Madeleine McCann that has touched the heart of the world, and yet the world has let the little girl down”. Shame on you. The Parsons Knows
“Depsite all the gluttony and materialism, the story of Christmas remains the story of a child and innocence somehow surviving in a wicked world. Jesus will survive the murderous wrath of Herod, Scrooge will find pity in his heart for Tiny Tim and the boy will live. And Madeleine will go home to her family”
Religion, fiction and an apparent crime, in which the parents of the Little Baby Madeleine are named suspects. How Parsons linked them is a miracle. A child is missing - such is the raw reality.
Here endeth the Parsons Lesson…
DAILY EXPRESS: “CASE AGAINST THE MCCANNS HIT BY DNA TEST DOUBTS”
“The case against Kate and Gerry McCann has been dealt a severe blow by doubts over controversial DNA techniques… But DNA was gathered and analysed using the techniques that led to the collapse of the Omagh bomb trial last week”
Low Copy Number DNA analysis – was developed by the UK’s Forensic Science Service. “It allows investigators to analyse tiny samples of evidence, sometimes many times smaller than a grain of sand. Scientists are able to produce the all-important genetic fingerprint from tiny samples by growing the DNA until it is large enough to test fully”
THE STAR: “’MADDIE TAKEN IN DAD’S TENNIS BAG’”
Gerry McCann was “reportedly seen with the holdall as he took up to three tennis lessons a day on the ill-fated holiday…But the blue sports bag has been lost, according to a shock new TV special on the mystery that is gripping the world”
A new TV investigation and a new piece of crucial evidence. Curious…
“According to The Madeleine McCann Mystery – a Sky News special on tonight at 7.30 – the bag is vital to the investigation”
According to Clarence Mitchell, Gerry McCann’s spokesman: “Gerry’s baffled. He’s never owned such a bag. There simply is no missing bag. They are entirely innocent”
Look out for Anorak TV’s Madeleine And The Dragon soon…
THE SUN: “Maddie: Mystery of ‘lost’ bag”
So says the Sun, owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns Sky
“A missing blue tennis bag could hold the key to Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, a TV documentary will claim tonight. The bag — big enough to carry a small child — belonged to Maddie’s dad Gerry, the programme says. It is claimed Portuguese cops have been hunting for the holdall, which disappeared at the same time as the four-year-old girl. The bag emerges as a potentially vital new clue in a Sky News investigation entitled The Madeleine McCann Mystery”
It’s better than Only Fools And Horses. And Cleudo. Play along at home…
“Yet, bizarrely, the McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell yesterday denied it existed — saying Gerry did not own such a bag and never had done”
And former detective Tony Rogers, “one of Britain’s most experienced police officers, will be seen saying: ‘If it’s a bag of a size that could be taking away from the flat a child, that would be of great interest to the investigating officer’”
So long as Gerry McCann removes the balls- tennis balls – from it first. But if Gerry did it…?
“Tonight’s documentary also claims Portuguese detectives have failed to find and quiz a British paedophile with links to the Algarve. He was among 52 British sex offenders with similar connections whose details were given to police by UK cops”
Not Gerry McCann, then, but a PAEDO! Two pieces of sensation in the Sky TV show. Stay tuned
THE TIMES: “Paedophile Briton linked to Madeleine”
The Times has seen the Sky TV show. The Times is owned by, Rupert Murdoch. The competition for viewing figures at Christmas is intense
The paedo. And the blue bag…
DAILY MAIL: “Hunt for Gerry’s missing tennis bag which ‘could have been used to carry Madeleine away’”
Tony Rogers, “who reviews unsolved cases for British police and worked on the Soham investigation”, uses his experience and media contacts to say that the bag might be important
Says Clarence Mitchell: “As far as Kate and Gerry are concerned, there is no missing tennis bag. They came back from holiday with everything except of course, tragically, Madeleine.”
“British paedophile ‘with links to Portugal’ suspected of abducting Madeleine” – A source tells Sky: “They (Portuguese police) were given the names of 52 sex offenders and they’ve worked very hard to find them and rule them out as suspects. There is still one man they are concerned about”
So important is he that we do not know his name nor what he looks like. Unless he is the man Jane Tanner saw. And this from the Sun’s stable, the paper that which criticised the Portuguese police for their efit and not telling the media every detail of their investigation…
DORSET ECHO: “Toddler, 3, walked home from nursery”
Sarah Cracknell, from Somerford dropped little Finley off at the Explorers Children’s Centre in Draper Road at noon while she attended a PTA lunch next door at Somerford Primary School. Says mum: “I went through half an hour of what Madeleine McCann’s parents must be going through 24 hours a day”
Sarah was not accused of killing her child. Neither was Beverly Fleetham

METODO 3′S BILL SO FAR: 414,000 EUROS (approx £275,000):
BRITISH OR U.S. DETECTIVES MAY NOW BE HIRED
Correos de Manha - 2007-12-24
Expenditure: More than 1 million euros
McCanns spend rest of the fund
QUOTE
The Spanish company of detectives Metodo 3 is about to be relieved of investigating Maddie’s case, after having charged 414 thousand euros to the fund to find the four year old.
The detectives promised that they would solve the crime by Christmas, but did not show results. The McCanns want to spend the remaining 898 thousand euros on other researchers.
The newspaper ‘Sunday Mirror’ said yesterday that the firm of Francisco Marco, contrary to their commitment, no longer gives exclusivity to this case and it is working on another investigation. The family now wants to hire British or Americans detectives.
So a million and three hundred thousand euros from Maddie’s Fund were spend, nonetheless the millionaire Richard Branson promised to continue to help. The couple is considering books and movies to obtain revenue.

Missing bag belonging to Maddie’s father is a clue in the investigation
JOSÉ MANUEL OLIVEIRA
The Judicial Police (PJ) is searching for months for a blue tennis bag with sufficient size to carry a small child, which belonged to the father of Madeleine McCann. The news was advanced yesterday by the British television channel Sky News, which adds that Gerry McCann assured at the time to the investigators that the bag was “stolen”.
As the DN divulged five days after the disappearance of Madeleine, the Maritime Police led out searches between Lagos and Burgau, both at sea and on rocks and caves, to look for the body of the girl. Fishermen and divers at the time were alerted to the possibility of finding a bag “containing a body or evidence.”
In the other hand still lacks to eliminate as a suspect a man on a list given by the British police to the PJ with information on 52 pedophiles from that country who were in the Algarve when the girl was taken. Meanwhile, according to the British press, the Crown Prosecution Service ordered now a new study on the value of the technique used in the method of Low Copy Number (LCN), which aims to enlarge tiny samples of DNA in the laboratory of the Forensics Science Service in Birmingham to determine the profile of suspects, victims or witnesses even when there is only a minimal amount of biological material.
The emphasis of the suspension of LCN will be given to media cases. The questions concerning this analytical method have been constantly raised in English scientific community and even the judge in the case concerning the suspected author of a bombing in Ireland that nine years ago killed dozen people, questioned the reliability of the LCN. This means that the forensic examinations for traces of blood, hair and body fluids found in the apartment and car rented by the McCanns in Praia da Luz, are in danger even before they are completed.

REPLY: Michael Shrimpton’s claims about the intelligence world need to be taken with more than a few pinches of salt. He may be a talented barrister on issues like the British constitution and weights and measures, but when it comes to intelligence, his more extravagant claims include:
1. The Irish potato blight in the 1840s was caused by an early form of Prussian biological warfare
2. Edward Heath was a paid German agent from World War II to his death, taking his instructions from Germans, and paid by a clandestine MI6-type agency called ‘DVD’ based in southern Germany
3. David Kelly (government scientist researching ‘weapons of mass destruction’ and who was held to have committed suicide) was murdered by Iraqi secret servcie agents.

Your obsession with attacking McCann-sceptics with increasingly graphic language - now comparing us with the KKK - makes you look desperate and, frankly, a tad unhinged.
Especially when - as is the case - you deliberately avoid engaging with the real issues we are discussing

But today it is the Saintly Duo who are responsible. I feel the influence of Clarrie spinning this one

What the hang em high posse don’t have they invent. Non existent tennis bag, non existent clothing from house in devon, non existant 10th tapas diner, non existant statements attributal to sources close to, and of course non existant evidence. You could not make it up but the posse does, every single day.

REPLY: If some of the ‘evidence’ and scenarios conjured up wasn’t so nauseating , David, it would be laughable. This is a true ‘hang em high posse’ one reads about happening why back when people took justice into their own hands - a mob, holding torches, noose in their hands and marching to deliver their kind of justice. Of course, that scene just comes from movies, doesn’t it? Well, it does rather remind me of a black mark against the South over here when the KKK marched with torches, holding a noose to hang the Blacks. That was just 40 some years ago that was still going on, not to mention them shooting the Whites who went down South during the civil rights marches to help the Blacks.
+++++++++++
Sounds almost as odious as a well connected, financially supported, middle class professional couple using their power, money and influence to hire hot shot lawyers, extradition experts and PR teams while they are “suspects” in an official police investigation into their own daughters disappearance. That sounds a bit too much like a movie too, doesn’t it?

REPLY: It’s worth remembering that this is a NET figure i.e. after amounts they’ve paid out for e.g. advertising, detective agencies and private investigators, travelling and other expenses for the six Trustees and of course the McCanns’ mortgage payments for July and August. I estimate that a minimum of £2 million has been donated to date to the ‘Find Madeleine Fund, quite possibly more.
But like so many other secrets that exist in this case, we’re not being told what that gross figure is
I wonder if that includes the refund from Metodo3

http://www.noradsanta.org/en/home.htm
Norad (north american radar air defence?) tracks santa annually on christmas eve and reports his where abouts for children everywhere. They have been for over fifty years when an american toy store printed the wrong phone number on it’s ’santa update’ line - its a nice story and a great site.
Anyway again - a Merry christmas to you all and every successs in 2008.
off to work now…..

If there is a ‘blue bag’ and it was ’stolen’ at the time of the ‘abduction’ the conclusion might be that the child’s body was carried in it.
Another conclusion might be that this would be yet another inconsistancy with the abduction scenario.
Why? Quite simply, the cartoon man was not carrying a ‘blue bag’ in either version of the accounts from Jane Tanner. Are we now to be told to believe that there was a further raid on the McCanns?
I wonder if Gerry was followed to the UK by the same person, intent on stealing his wallet?
The McCanns had better make sure they regularly test their burgler alarm back in their lovely house, they may well be the target of an international gang intent on relieving them of anything they may happen to lay down unattended.

12 Probably mid January, 2009 if its got anything to do with UK authorities! Assuming they have not lost their records.

Thanks for the advise, Tony. I don’t claim that he is correct and everything he says is true, but it was interesting reading for me and it is, in my opinion, far more feasible than other secenarios, like for example the “two Maddies” theory.

11 Ludicrous isnt it, to suggest that any deviation from the line of ’stranger abduction’ leads to cries of ‘mob rule’!
Still, the Holy Ones of PDL surely would not be averse to a little martyrdom? They could go for sainthood? Maybe someone could submit that as a suggestion for Gerry to brainstorm?

Or the idea of an accident when a hyper active child falls from a sofa whilst abandoned in a strange apartment (not daring to leave because of loss of ’star’ rewards). An incident which could result in very serious career consequences to parents already ‘running close to the wind’ financially (potentially catastrpohic consequences).
Not even when we know the parents DID leave the child on a regular basis?
Far more liekly that an International Gang targetted this beloved ’special’ child of this ‘wonderful adoring family’ and mounted an incredibly efficient raid in a sub 5 minute ‘window of opportunity’ - waiting to do it ‘right under the nose’ of the parent on one of his ‘regular’ checks (regular as in ‘once’!) (why make it easy? Wheres the excitement for them in that?). I can see why to pick the most obvious solution (I kid you of course!).
Do you need me to sing the Daisy song again or will you take my well meant advice and think very hard about your motives and their impact on precedents being set here?

mornin’ all
yesterday i posed the question: “who identified that the blue bag was missing”?
looks like tony bennett’s post above suggests it was none other than gm, who told the pj early on that it had been “stolen”
now this means we have a glaring inconsistency as the comical one insists nothing is missing
so who is the liar?
is it gm or is it comical clarrie
perhaps cheryl and dave can give an ANSWER - is the liar gm or is it comical clarrie - without referring to lynchings and the kkk or other distractions that are of no interest.

REPLY: Unfortunately for this theory, you can’t be made a saint while you’re alive.
Sainthood is a two-stage process. Once you are nominated and there is evidence that your life was associated with a miracle, you can be ‘beatified’. Then if another miracle associated with your life can be discovered, you’re made a saint.
Immediately after you’re made a saint, the Papacy says you can pray to that person.
The last Pope created a record number of new saints. There’s plenty of choice now if you need help from a saint

Or is it O’Brien they mean?
I understand that Brunt has cobbled togeher a show for tonight, where they apaprently use a similar apartment to show how an abduction would be easy…excellent, this will no doubt throw everything into a more stark clarity and have the opposite effect to that intended.
I sat that because I very much doubt they will use the 9:10 to 9:15 ‘window of opportunity’ or consider the noise level (the fact that Gerry and others were nearby - if the Tapas Bar is nearby, this ‘neraby’ is pretty damn close!). The noise of opening a window and a shutter - especially quickly - on a night as ‘incredibly quiet’ as has been claimed by the McCanns would be audible quite a distance would it not?
As Ade would say, excellent fun!

And where was this British paedo on April 30th? Sagres?
Maybe this is the one that convinced Gerry a paedophile predator is involved in the abduction scam? I’m sure the police have looked at all phone calls these 52 paedophiles made throughout that time. I wonder how many were made to the McCanns, Murat, and the T7.

Do we have the source for the original ‘Gerry’s bag was stolen’?
If thats right, he said his bag was stolen, yet Clarence said there was no bag, this needs to be posted to Martin Brunt for him to place on his ever so balanced blog!

There must me a great deal of evidence of which we have no knowledge, or is it just wishful thinking?
There is a naughty part of me wants to see these peoples sickly ‘perfect world’ exposed. No doubt the pro-McCann brigade would point the finger at me and jump up and down joyfully shouting ’see - jealousy’ - but I think I am confident enough in understanding myself to risk that!

SKY TV tonight - a warning
====================
It appears from leaks over the past 24 hours that Martin Brunt’s ‘McCann show’ tonight will suggest that abduction by a paedophile is the likeliest theory and that the abdcutor may have used the missing blue sports bag. As I don’t have a TV, I shall (mercifully) miss it.
I also hear that there will be no serious analysis of the narrowness of the ‘window of opportunity’ of time, which Ian with some excellent work using a spreadsheet of the timelines has narrowed down to about two minutes between 9.12pm and 9.14pm (I think).
It will be interesting to learn what weight Brunt puts on:
* Tanner’s ’sightings’ of the abductor
* Gerry’s claimed visit to the apartment at 9.05pm/9.10pm
* Matthew Oldfiield’s visit to the apartment at 9.30pm.
IMO all three are utterly false inventions, and a key to understanding what really went on during 3rd May is to treat all ‘Tapas 9′ statements that day as fabrications, in part or whole
