Kate McCann has offered her support to the parents of a five-year-old girl who has vanished in Spain, not far from the Portuguese resort where her own daughter disappeared.
Watch: Search for Mari who disappeared 120 miles
from where Madeleine vanished
The 39-year-old contacted Juan Jose Cortes and Irene Suarez, whose five-year-old daughter Mari Luz went missing from Huelva on Sunday after going out to buy a packet of crisps, to say the couple were in her thoughts.
The Spanish border town is just two hours' drive from Praia da Luz in the Algarve where the McCanns were staying when four-year-old Madeleine disappeared from their holiday apartment last May.

How was this girl taken? Went missing after going to buy crisps? Who was buying them? I hope the parents didnt send a 5 yr old to buy them. So she was ALSO left alone?

another blonde girl in Morocco? We were told there are blonde girls there and the one they did investigate was not her.
IMO Madeleine is no longer alive and her parents know what happen that night. I think it is time they stopped with the CAMPAIGN. They are planning a big party for the twins (with what money) b-day and they are hoping Madeleine will be there?

an interesting bit of info.....from the herald sun...

MADELEINE McCann was raped, murdered and her body dumped in a reservoir within 48 hours of her disappearance, a lawyer claims.

Marcos Correia said underworld criminals contacted him on May 6, three days after the British girl vanished, with details of her abduction and murder. He said Portuguese police had ignored him.

The lawyer said he contacted Kate and Gerry McCann's detective agency, which had begun to investigate his theory.

Mr Correia, 32, said the claim could clear the couple of suspicion that they were involved in their daughter's disappearance.

Mr Correia believed Madeleine's body was at the bottom of a reservoir in the Algarve.

"It's the ideal place to get rid of a body, practically without leaving any trace," he said.

**IMO why woud these people rape, murder and dump Madeleine and THEN contact this lawyer? I find this hard to believe. Is this just another way to take the guilt off Kate and Gerry.
And isn't it funny that just as the fund starts to run out of money, Gerry is all for some type of movie? How long are we gonna read about old Gerry and Kate? I will continue to check for any info on Madeleine, but am sick of seeing Gerry and Kate's face in the news.

Peter O, you appear to have trouble with the innocent until proven guilty theory, no surprise there. Really gone fishing now.

And you seem to have problems in applying the same standards to the Portuguese Prosecutor. Enjoy your fishing.

1564 Wanderer Says: January 10th, 2008 at 3:02 am

There is an interview in Vanity Fair, I haven’t seen it, but there is an article in The Daily Mail about it (which I’m just looking at now). Here is the link, if you want it:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=507182&in_page_id=1770&ct=5

++++++++++++++++
If the Daily Mail reporting of the original Vanity Fair article is broadly correct, then it’s just another pile of self serving bile from Team McCann, in my opinion. I particularly like the admission of “fault” issued in the third person via Philomena’s words:

QUOTE EXTRACT

Mr McCann's sister Philomena told the magazine that he (Gerry – Peter O edit) had called her on the night Madeleine vanished and sobbed: "It's all my fault, because Kate and I went out to dinner."

QUOTE EXTRACT ENDS

Lots of words allegedly from Gerry and Kate about how they wish they could turn back time, to spot the abductor(s), how Gerry wishes he hadn’t gone to the Tapas, but of course as usual no personal admission of “fault”.

Oh yes, and that movie/docu-drama – money making thing gets a mention:

QUOTE EXTRACT

Mr McCann said he had considered the plans for a documentary-drama only because it could address issues such as alert systems to help find lost children.

QUOTE EXTRACT ENDS

No mention of the suspects co-operating fully with the investigation.

I wonder what news they are trying to bury today? How did the meeting of the Limited Company known colloquially as “The Fund” go? Who are the new directors? Why did the old directors quit? What about rumours of blood, questions and possible charges?

Todays test for the barmy brigade, supply some evidence which will be useful in the real world, gone fishing.

As you and I discussed, and I thought agreed, late last night, by your own standards of “evidence” you equally have no “evidence” to support your opinions.
