Madeleine McCann With Britney Spears And David Beckham
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN: “Maddie resort ‘perv’ snaps Brit”
“A suspected pervert who fled the resort where Maddie McCann vanished is taking photos of Britney Spears in LA, The Sun can reveal.
“Christian Ridout, 32, is wanted for questioning in Praia da Luz, Portugal, for allegedly trying to groom a 12-year-old girl”
DJ Shifty..?
“But for several months Ridout has used the name Dexter Troy to work as a paparazzo in Hollywood, where he has trailed the likes of Britney, David Beckham and Kiefer Sutherland”
Says Ridout: “These allegations are ridiculous. At the time of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance I was in London. I have not been to Portugal for three years”
But Britney Spears. Madeleine McCann. Both in the same story. Remarkable stuff at the Sun. has Ridout every taken a picture of Princess Diana? We demand to be told…
DAILY MIRROR: “McCann: Clear our name bid”
“Kate and Gerry McCann are planning a formal appeal to be cleared as suspects over missing daughter Madeleine, it was revealed yesterday. Lawyers for the couple, both 39, in Portugal and Britain, held talks to decide the timing of an application to lift their ‘arguido’ status”
McCanns talks with lawyers – read all about it!

Ridout, was ruled out by the PJ .
http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2007/12/new-blow-for-parents-as-suspect-is.html
The Belgian website kidnapping.be reports that the man, that is “presented as the perfect suspect” by the British press, Christian Ridout has been identified and interviewed by the Spanish Police. When Madeleine vanished, he was in Spain and his alibi has been checked. He is 32 years old and he left Portugal two years ago. According to Clarence Mitchell, Método 3 is searching this man. He is presented to the entire press as a suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Nothing shows that is implicated in this case and his presumption of innocence should be respected. Furthermore, he has not the profile of a predator looking for a four year old girl.

Good morning. Just a brief visit.
This is getting too silly. Isn’t Christian Ridout the one whose parents have a pub or a bar or something near PdL? He doesn’t sound to be a very savoury character but, nevertheless, if he wasn’t there, he couldn’t have done it. And it is difficult to think that someone who would groo a 12 year old would also abduct a 3 year old.

February 9th, 2008 at 8:40 am
Pretend you haven’t noticed (the football boots). Otherwise, you’ll be obliged to enter into conflict.
Yes, I have noticed the adds. I see the police aren’t trying to recruit us.
I have dogs, cats, birds, a Vietnam pig and, a ferret and 3 goats (although the goats are with my father-in-law’s sheep at the moment). My main interest is dogs.

February 9th, 2008 at 8:43 am
Seem to be. It’s beautiful weather here. Frost on the ground but very sunny. I think we’ll get up to around 16ºC later.
Oh, I forgot to mention my 2 African spurred tortoises. They’re not giant yet (they weigh around 10-12 kilos) but they will be. I remembered them now because of the weather - they can go outside today.
February 9th, 2008 at 8:47 am
Chloe… how big will the tortoises get? don’t they live many many years? Are they friendly? (I’m an animal person!)
………………………
Lovely weather today so I’m off over the river to visit my friend in Kent. near Maidstone. Won’t be around today… being forcibly disconnected.

Chloe Spain,
Morning! Your tortoises are impressive! All our hamsters combined would not weigh anything close to your tortoise. Weight discrimination!

Apparently, they can get up to around 100 kilos in the end. They can reproduce as from being 18 inches long though - probably in a couple of years. The problem is they’ve both turned out to be males! (you can’t tell when they’re babies but they’re now six years old and it’s quite clear).
Yes, they’re friendly. I have them outside in summer and, in winter, I put them out during the day when I can. They’re too big to put in any kind of tank so, as long as I can get them out into the sun reasonably often, I have them loose in the house. I have an emergency plan with a reptile lamp, etc. in the bathroom in case we’re ever weeks without sun, but it hasn’t happened in the last two or three years. Unfortunately, they tend to try to go over obstacles, rather than round them, and are extremely stubborn. Some of my smaller dogs (particularly my 16 year old, who is deaf and almost blind) occasionally get unpleasant surprises.

I hadn’t heard of that one. But, living in the middle of the country, I love all these new technological things. Internet banking, for example, is great. I save so much time. I have a friend in a similar situation to me who won’t use them - don’t know why. He has a computer, broadband, etc. and, what’s more, is without a car at present. Can’t understand it.

Sorry, we seem to be ignoring you and youre the only person who’s said something relevant to what we are supposed to be discussing.
And it’s quite true - I don’t understand how they can be allowed to name people in this way. Or, perhaps more relevantly, why they think it is a good idea to do so.

chloe - same here - a trip to the bank is a nighmare - love the internet. when my kids were younger they thought that tesco’s was a delivery van lol
