Has anybody considered the possibility of one of these sardines slithering into the Clan’s apartment?

They leave a kind of common bleach trace on wherever their scales touch.

There has never been story in the press about these sardines eating children before but it is possible that the Portuguese government has blanketed any press coverage in the past.

Therefore if it was not aliens that ate M it could have been a passing sardine.

Therefore let us not point the finger at the Clan just yet - there is probably a perfectly reasonable reason that M is missing.

In Germany for example, phone communication data are subject to privacy protection. Authorities would only get those data in cases of “severe” crime. There is a list of “severe” crimes, and involuntary homicide, or the equivalents of neglect or conceiling a body, are not in the list. So for the alleged crimes, phone data would not be seizable. For bank account data, I’m not certain about the exact rules.

Now we are in the realms of the fantasist!

I thought we had it from a reliable source that the requests for MLA were turned down due to lack of evidence, as far as any compulsory measures were requested. The whole “rogatory letters” myth had finally morphed into some entirely voluntary witness interviews (for which “rogatory letters” would have never been necessary).

That’s what I interpret as the element of truth in REPORTER’s contributions.

The comments I read from the PJ was that until the investigation is concluded there’ll be no changes to the status of the current arguido’s. (that was in response to Clarence Mitchell’s request for them to be lifted the arguido status).

That would apply to the McCanns and to Murat.

The investigation deadline has been extended until August (at least) .
